800 dollars to change water pump and diagnose fuel system. Then I drive away and starter all of a sudden stops working on the same day, COINCIDENTALLY. Talked to rude lady who denies they have anything to do with the starter. Starter was working perfectly well when I took it in. Very shady. NEVER AGAIN.

Took my car a month ago to replace my control arm which cost me 600$+ just noticed my wheel stud was broken and they stripped my anti steal lug nut. And they didnt tell me. Been driving it like this for a month couldve been in a horrible accident or even worse dead. And they didnt tell me anything just thank you for your business and give me your money. Not considered for human life

At the last minute, I called to find out if I would be able to get a TX State Inspection (on a Saturday). They said yes, so I went in and they were able to get the inspection done within a half an hour. I truly appreciate the great service from Chelmont Auto Center.

Check your tire pressure before leaving . They put too much air in my tires and I didn’t even ask them to put air in them !

Inspection job was decent. I was charged 80$ for labor for an engine belt change that took less than 10 minutes to install.

Old man was very rude and very unprofessional critized and practically threw me out when he argued that i wasn't a regular customer that i shld have them fix my breaks with then but it was so expensive so i choosed to have it fix somewhere. " let me see if your car is done so you can get out of here"; that was so rude and very disrespectful. I will never go back there anymore

Overall would not recommend. I took my car in for a diagnostic at 8am, I was told to drop it off and they’d call me later that day. They didn’t call me so I picked up my car before they closed. The diagnostic didn’t get done because “they were so busy and so many cars were ahead of me”. Ok next time please tell your customers how long they’ll have to leave their car for just a diagnostic. If you have too many cars for the day just say - sorry we’re at our limit for today, come back another day - or something like that. I also tried calling for an update many times throughout the day and they did not answer.

Please avoid this business. Worst service possible. They are incredibly slow, very rude when you ask about the time they are taking, and it’s crowded and uncomfortable in the waiting room with music that is so loud it borders on making conversations inaudible.

Worst service. I took my car for a fuel pump. They broke the fuel gauge. They won't accept it. It took them a whole week to tell me.

Been a customer there for more than 8 years, from that time till now this place has sank so low. Their customer service is so horrid I would rather just deal with the mechanics themselves but can’t. This is not the best place to get a state inspection either because the guy doing the inspections is never there when you try to do it. Last time me and my family go to this place it’s just not the same as before anymore.

Ladies, Beware, the mechanics will miss diagnose the vehicle problem to over charge. Had a horrible experience, the wait is extremely long just for them to tell you what is wrong.

Muy mal servicio, fui a la inspección de mi carro y dure mucho esperando y nadie me atendía. Al final para que me dijeran que ya había tiempo de hacerla aunque faltaba todavía para cerrar, pura perdida de tiempo!

Took my truck in for small leak diagnostic. They told me I need to replace the rack and pinion, replace the serpentine belt and the front shocks absorbents. The estimate added to over $900s. I left because didn't have that much money at the time. When I got home, about 1.5 miles away, I notice a serious oil leak from my rack and pinion. Not the leak I had before. They replaced the serpentine belt less than two month before, when I took the vehicle for annual inspection. Come to find out the original leak was from my water pump, the front shock didn't need replacement. I will not be going back to that place and will not recommended to anyone. Doing business there is a "bad day"!!!!

Went to get the state inspection at this place twice. Horrible customer service, I would not recommend anyone take their car here for inspection. Both times they had me waiting for well over an hour. Mechanics and employees are rude, and top it off, the waiting area is very small and uncomfortable. The owners family is frequently hanging out there making it an uncomfortable, stuffy waiting experience. Edit 2022: Went recently to get the state inspection here again. On this occasion the service was done reasonably quick. I have changed my rating in light of this. Also, waiting area was comfortable.
