Husband took our car to fix the hot air because it wasn’t working but the cold air was they called us and said they fixed it and was working got it back and hot air was working but now the cold air wasn’t and brought it back in they said they had fixed it but it was something else wrong with it that everything else that they did was fixed how is that fixed if now i can’t get cold air

I took my car to CarX South Kingshighway because it was shaking when driving over 45 miles per hour. They self-diagnosed the issue without test-driving the car and charged me over $1900 and didn't even solve the problem. I had to take my car to another mechanic to get it fixed. The other mechanic test-drove my car and was able to diagnose the problem within one minute. When I complained to the folks at CarX, they refused to refund me for the parts or the labor even though the issue they diagnosed themselves did not fix the problem I was having whatsoever. They also admitted that they didn't even test drive my car after they did their work to see if it fixed the issue. I will never go back to this place again. These people are untrustworthy and do not care about getting the job done right or making up for it when they perform poorly. Please avoid this business.

I had appointment on 12:00 pm I dropped my car there but they did not check my car in two hours and what does mean appointment ?????? they check other cars before me and their service is very low and bad please do not get and do any thing appointment with this location please please please Note: after three and half hours he said that they ( mechanic) will not fix your car right now

I really enjoy doing business here! I usually wait for them to send out coupons for oil changes and take advantage of those offers (I hate spending more than $30 on an oil change!). Lee is usually at the desk or answering the phone and he's always so nice. You can make an appointment but you can also just drop it off and they will take care of you same day without an appointment. Overall, I feel comfortable when entering their establishment and although they usually have repair recommendations for my car, they are never pushy with pressuring me to get it done with them. Highly recommend coming here for your car needs!

I was calling around to find somewhere to get an emissions test done on my truck on a Saturday morning after dropping off my family at work. Car-X said they were open and could do it if I could drop it off for a couple of hours. I could not wait there for it because the state regulates how long they can make someone wait. So I dropped off and walked away. I came back 3 hours later. They still had not even started. I could not wait any longer because I had to pick up my family at 2 pm. Disappointed to have to start over trying to find someone to do it. No one does it on Sunday so Monday I found Commission Free near to my home who got us right in. Wasted my Saturday morning for nothing.

I Called to get an estimate for exhaust. My son had an inspection done where he lives and it failed for exhaust I used to work at carx. so I thought call them annd see if we could get it done cheaper from carx. Lee who answered the phone I believe was his name. Wass very rude and didn't seem like he really wanted to work. He said he couldn't find the right parts, I used to work at a carx so I knew what I needed and had part numbers. He insisted I was wrong and he could not help me unless I brought it in.i just moved to the city so was looking for a repair shop near me but carx will not be them.

Attempted to charge me 3,000 for two rear calibers; went to another shop, calibers were compress calibers that didn’t need replacement, which this store wasn’t able to recognize. Went from almost spending 3,000 dollars unnecessarily to only a couple hundred. That being said, the gentleman are polite, but either not completely honest or not as proficient as other shops.

Do you like being talked down to? Then this is the place for you. Lee was an absolute passive-aggressive mess of a person. I called for a quote about brakes on my car and said that's for the entire car? To which he responded yes. Only to make an appointment, go in and find out no, the cost quoted was only for half the cars brakes. When I brought this to his attention, I was so rudely met with "sorry if you misunderstood," which isn't an apology at all. Then I asked for a printed quote to take with me and was told they don't print out prices. My advice would be to take your business elsewhere unless you want to be patronized.

I cannot remember this CarX enough! All of the staff there is very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and their service is very efficient, fair, and skillful. I always feel confident that the prices I am receiving for any needed services are fair, and that if staff there say that repairs are needed, that they are being truthful and fair in their assessment of what repairs are necessary. They are also tremendously helpful for more impromptu visits: I recently had my low tire light come on on my way to work (and it wasn't responding to my efforts to fill it with air): I called to see if I could bring my car in for them to check my tires. I was told I could do so right away, and they checked over and then filled up all of my tires immediately (and without charging me!) They were also very kind throughout this process (and didn't make me feel silly or ignorant for being worried about my tires--and as a woman, I'm absolutely had mechanics other places do both when I come to them with a concern!) Highly recommend this CarX for friendly, prompt, efficient, and ethical service!

I went in for an oil change, but mentioned to the staff another problem I'd need addressed in the future. They assessed it while they were changing the oil. It was a quick, easy, affordable fix! The best kind! They went above & beyond to make me a happy customer!

Went and got a battery put on my car here .. when I tell you I was so amazed by the price and how fast they did it .. other places was trying to charge me 500-600 bucks because of my car and what they needed to do to get the battery off well car x prices was over 300 bucks cheaper .. Great customer service and fast service thank you all I’ll definitely be back to this location for any other repairs

Bryan is the man! Somewhat of a long wait due to the queue of cars waiting to be serviced, but Bryan always provides great conversation and entertainment. Techs also let me know my brakes needed replacement, which I somewhat figured. They were able to get the parts delivered immediately and had me on my way. Overall, very reliable and trustworthy service with great people to match!

One of your worst nightmares is having to get your car repaired. Hopefully your car isn't broken down completely. If you need to have a repair made, try to schedule it ahead of time. Appointments are typically taken ahead of walk-ins at most car repair places. I made an appointment to have my catalytic converter replaced on a Saturday. I dropped it off and asked how long it would take. They gave me an estimated time. It took a little longer, but overall it was better than sitting there and waiting. CarX does a pretty good job of communicating with the clientele when they bring their vehicle in for service. It is hard judging how long it will take their people to complete the schedule for the day. Slightly different than waiting at a restaurant where everyone is eating and doing a similar thing. Everyone's car is different and can take more or less time than what the manufacturer recommends. Be patient and trust they are going to take good care of your car and give it back in better condition than when you brought it in. I have been going to CarX for many years and they have taken good care of my vehicles as well as my time when I wait for the service to be completed. Thank you CarX for your service over the years.
