I have been with Zach through 3 vehicles and each time I bring them in has been incredibly helpful. I'm a bit of an annoying pre-diagnoser, I know just enough to get me into trouble sometimes. Zach always talks me through the details and offers me a range of solutions, when he can, for the sake of finances. This last time we added some break work in, and I mentioned that I had bought a patch kit, for my flat tire from days prior, when my transmission started going out- I had not yet had the chance to patch and replace my spare with the tire- I went do so this afternoon and he had already done both! This last round he had my car back to me in a few hours after assessing a coolant leak, transmission problem and doing an oil flush. Grateful to have him as my mechanic!

I'm using my wife's account for this review. i've had the same mechanic for over forty years but he recently retired. The heater in my car stopped working so I called Care Tune and Zach told me to come right in. When I got there he stopped what he was working on and came out to look at my car, and imediately started removing the heater blower motor and filter. Turned out mice ate thru the filter and filled the blower with debris. He had it fixed and back together in minutes. His fee was extremely reasonable. He's a young man with old school skills. I'm very happy to have a great mechanic in Lakeside again.

Zac is great. I called him, asked if he could look at my car the same day, he said yes. It was fixed less than six hours later. He also gave me a great deal and didn’t try to hustle me which I always worry about as a solo female. His shop is nondescript (no signage, looks like a regular house) but don’t let that deter you. 10/10 would go to Zac again.

Zac is one of the best small business owners i’ve met! He is very communicative and knowledgeable in his area of expertise. I had a Turbocharger blow in my TDI, after being turned away from 2 large auto repair shops in the area, Zac was able to repair it! I am more than grateful for my experience with Car Tunes. If you have a foreign vehicle (or any model) Zac is your go to guy!

Zac was fantastic! We were on a road trip and experienced an emergency. He was able to fit us in same day and got our engine fixed and back on the road in about an hour and a half. He was very kind, displayed a wide range of knowledge, and gave us quality and cost effective work in a timely manner. Small business, would definitely recommend.

Zach did service on three autos of mine in the last two months. On my 2013 Prius C (110k) he replaced the struts, sway bars and front and back brakes. He also replaced the brake fluid in the system. On my 2016 Subaru Outback (135k) he changed the oil while checking the brakes and a rattling noise in the front. He recommended replacing the front brakes and the front sway bars. He performed both jobs and the front end is much quieter. On my son's 2007 Ridgeline (237k) he replaced the passenger side CV joint, front and back brakes, found a leaking high-pressure hose on the power steering, and replaced it (it was slowly losing fluid) and found a bent tie rod (replaced it). When Zach identified issues, he gave me a call with price to fix it and options (fix it, wait, do not fix at this time). He also checked with me to see what service the cars already had. I am glad to find a neighborhood shop that I can trust to maintain my vehicles so that they are dependable and safe to drive.
