Did the exact opposite of what I asked and then charged me $700 .. outrageous.they didn't fix my issue and I went home and fixed it myself

Outrageously rude and uncooperative business. My mother paid $500, only to get power steering fluid filled up and a diagnostic that finds nothing wrong with no detailed report on what was checked. Calling afterwards to follow up when the 'special' power steering fluid they overcharged for drains dry in a week will get you hung up on twice and yelled at to go to another mechanic with no money back or further diagnostics for "being hard to work with". They also did not mention prices when they confirmed the services with my mother, so watch out for that. I called to get more details for my mom on what exactly they already checked for so we could tell another mechanic where to start looking, and that offended their sensibilities as well. Every other mechanic I've dealt with gives a detailed report when doing diagnostics - but they only give a receipt and are offended when you ask for more detail. It should be clear by the lack of responses on the several other negative reviews that they don't care about their reputation and will only be cooperative when they are scamming you with their inflated pricing. I've never experienced such childish behavior from a business until now.

Call for a tow at 11pm still was setting there at 4am and had to call another towing company.Butler Auto,towing I would not recommend them for nothing.

Both times we've taken our vehicles to Butler, our issue was diagnosed, parts ordered that very day. And our cars back to us within 3 days. Clear communication. Trustworthy. Knowledgeable. And very reasonably priced. Having paper route vehicles, we have more than a few horror stories from mechanics in Greenwood. We will always go back to Butler in the future.

I thought butler’s was supposed to be a good shop- they certainly charge the same high prices you would expect from a good shop. Long story short, the fixed my truck but destroyed the rear main seal in the process, and quoted me an additional $1k to fix it. They left a dirty shop rag in the engine bay and left my truck unlocked in their parking lot overnight. I will warn the community about butlers automotive and hopefully nobody else will fall victim to this crooked business.

I was having trouble keeping my truck cranked up just so happen I was at the best place for this to happen ended up at butlers. So happens I live an hour away he was able to get it going for so I could make it home with the kids. I had an amazing experience. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. I definitely recommend them for any of your vehicle problems. What I have said don't do them justice just the best place every for your need. Definitely a 20 out of 10 . Look them up and give them a call today.

went in to have exhaust checked. they called the next day and said i needed a new fuel pump and sending unit which has nothing to do with exhaust i just had both of those items replaced less than 20 miles before i dropped it off work was done by another shop that doesnt do exhaust work!i asked for exhayst work!! nothing else! they then said the exhaust work would be 1700.00 dollars! i said no thanks and they charged me 99.00 dollars which i wasnt told of when dropping off vehicle! then to top the whole situation off! the mechanic left the fuel pump pressure tester still hooked up under the hood which could of resulted in an engine fire!!! what a terrible experience!! i definitely would not recomend this shop to anyone.

i have several bad experiences with these people. i was warned that these people was hard to deal with but i went there anyway to give them a chance. first incident, 2 yrs ago i brought my car to them an they couldnt fix it. it turned out i had a bad computer. they charged me nothing but they didnt bother to tell me they tore my rear door handle off car. they placed it back up in door hole so i wouldnt notice but it fell off eventually. it cost me 150.00 to fix it later. second incident about 2 yrs later, my car was rattling an i thought it was my valves. i asked tommy how much it cost to adjust valves because i told him i think my valves is rattling. he told me 75 to 85.00 i was charged 80.00 for a repair i didnt need. he drove my car back to his shop from my house an diagnosed my car an knew my muffler plate come loose an all it needed was a quick tacting that would take about 30 seconds to do. he went ahead an adjusted my valves anyway when he knew that was not the problem. i picked my car up an he wasnt no where to be found. i wanted to know what kind of shape my valves was in. i went back there looking for him 5 times an he wasnt there in 4 different days. i asked his wife if he worked joking because i couldnt catch him in 4 days working. she told tommy what i said an he called me wanting to fight over this. i told him i was joking an we both know you work, i just coudlnt catch you working in 4 days.. i told him the rattling didnt stop after adjusting my valves.. he said it wasnt the valves rattling. he told me my muffler was rattling. i said are you sure an he said to bring it to him now. he put it on a lift an went straight to problem. he knew my muffler was rattling but still charged me 80.00 to adjust my valves anyway. he said theres your problem when he lifted my car on car rack. he knew exactly what the problem was because he diagnosed my car while driving it back to his shop from my house. he should of tacked my muffler sheild back in place an charged me much less. he tacked it an wanted 40.00 for 30 secs of work. turns out he didnt tack it right an it still rattles. i had to take it to another man to fix it right. if anyone should be mad is me because he charged me 80.00 to adjust my valves an they didnt need adjusting an my car still rattled. if anyone advertises on tv a lot an got many cars sitting in his yard for months an years is a red flag to stay away from. a good mechanic dont need to advertise. he also tore up my car 2 yrs ago an didnt bother to tell me. i forgot about him tearing up my door handle. his wife has a nasty attitude i noticed but ignored it when i first went there for help. i did notice someone was opening my back door where they broke it because it was locked when i brought car to them. the valves an muffler is not in my back seat. they was checking my door handle is why they opened my rear door that they broke 2 yrs prior. i am glad people can review online to let others know how these people are. i will not be back there again. god will take care of people like them.
