I want to thank Dave and the team for helping with my car, Buddas Garage is definitely THE spot for your car, I'm running 1980 v10 engine under this bad boy and was getting some misfire codes and my oil was mixing with my coolant but Budda lubed my car up and it's working just fine 🙈🙈 my woman is for sure loving the new add-on that they added too, really makes the car pop and zesty can't wait to drop off the 10s with this, I'm a disabled vet with no limbs either and they made it more accesible to my driving style. thank you dave

Very fair prices and a nice team. However: Gave me my car back, I drove it and was hearing sounds that I had never heard before. Big red flag. Had to bring it back to them and then they had to take out a part that wasn’t supposed to be placed in my car.David was nice but, It’s difficult to feel very secure right now with this team after yesterday‘s experience, kind of making me wonder what else was not done 100% properly. Or how they didn’t catch the sounds my car was making before they gave it back to me the first time. They drove my car away from the site for about 8 minutes before bringing it back to me the second time. I’ll leave a better review next time if there is a next time and I have a better experience.

This place is super expensive!! their hourly labor rate is $180 and they claimed it took them 3 hours to put a windshield wiper fluid hose in. they were “gracious” enough to only charge me for 2 hours, totaling to $370 while the hose costed $5 and this service should only take 30 minutes to an hour AT MOST… dont go to this place unless you want to pay for overpriced service

Awesome customer service. No surprises. Just quality work at a fair price. I had neglected my vehicle for months because I dreaded using my dealer's service department. These guys got me back on the road with full confidence and a one-year warranty on their work. There was one pleasant surprise, they enrolled me in CARFAX, at no cost, so I can keep track of many details about my vehicle. If you want a flashy place with a barista, floor-to-ceiling windows, and large comfy leather chairs, go to the dealer, but your repair work there will be poor at best and super-overpriced. If you want good, honest, and friendly service, from people who are hands-on and hands-down the best, Buddha's Garage is for you.

Leaving 5 stars because these are good people. I was not able to afford the repairs needed at the time. David walked me through what was needed and printed out the information for me to have when I was ready. They even topped off my oil, which was very low, so the truck was okay to drive home. This is unheard of for a lot of today’s auto shops. Thank you for your over-the-top customer service!

Major repair (new clutch, flywheel, alternator + power steering bracket for Subaru Legacy); scheduling was quick, prices were reasonable, updates were prompt, work even completed ahead of expectations. (Embarrassingly stalled a few times right outside the shop because my clutch foot was so used to the worn out factory clutch from 2007) Had a follow up issue a couple weeks later; noticed fluid all around the bottom of car, by the front diff while doing routine oil change. Called in, and suggested to bring in to trace source of leak. Turns out the power steering pump was missing double sided washer; unsure if this was from the bracket install, or prior power steering pump install (likely, and done by a different shop), but as luck would have it, they had the exact oem part needed sitting off to the side; so they just fixed it, tested it, and explained to me what caused it. No blame games, trying to order unnecessary parts, etc. Good, honest mechanics for fair prices that stand behind their work. Definitely recommend.

Been going to Buddha’s Garage now for 2 years. They’ve helped me with everything. From simple oil changes to headlight replacements to complicated projects costing $2k. If they say they can do it, they can. Communication is great. Josue or Dave will always call after they diagnose the problem and give you a competitive quote right off the bat. The 4.8 stars they currently have is well deserved and I will continue to use them for my automotive needs in the future. Thanks Dave!! (I did not receive any perks for posting this review FYI. First time customer coming to Buddha's Garage and decided to try it out based on the positive reviews. Really appreciated Josue's help getting scheduled and really appreciated the thoroughness the mechanic took on my 2011 Tacoma. Multi-point inspection seemed to be spot on, and I appreciated the honesty on some of the items that I could replace myself, like the engine filter. Highly recommend Buddha's Garage.

I was recommended Buddha’s Garage from multiple women in a ladies group I’m in when I was first searching for a mechanic in this city. As a woman, we’re all warned about going to the wrong mechanic and getting scammed, so it was a fear of mine. I was nervous when I walked into the little office the shop has, but I was greeted by a very kind man and felt like I was in a safe space-shoutout to Josue! Right next to their desk is an LGBTQ ally statement and after reading it I knew I came to the right shop 🙂 Buddha’s Garage has worked on my 12 year old Corolla about 5 times now, great experience every time. I just got a new car and I will continue taking it to Buddha’s for any maintenance needed in the future.

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing their car serviced! Everyone was very friendly, especially Josue and the owner Dave. The guys fixed my car quickly and were even willing to stay open past hours to address a last minute issue. Their customer service can't be beat!

I'm thrilled with my Buhda Repair Shop experience! Josue is a wizard who provided great pricing and fixed my car issues. After frustrating visits to other shops, Buhda was refreshing. Warm staff, especially Josue, who's knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He explained things clearly and fixed my car for much less than others. The whole experience was fantastic; they communicated well and showed honesty. Notably,Josue accommodated my budget by reducing the price to fit my range while addressing additional needs. Was new to town in 2021 and didn't look at other mechanics in town. They claimed to be the best mechanics in town. I visited them several times. They can do a good job but their labor is expensive and they mark up the part prices. If you can buy your own parts and get them installed by someone, do that. You'll save some good amount of money.

When the head gasket blew on my 2012 Honda Accord, I took it into Buddha's garage. Let me tell you -- I have worked with at least 4-5 mechanics in Austin, none of them come even close to the service I received here. Every time I called in with a question, I spoke to Josue, who always had a helpful, can-do attitude. If you are looking for excellent communication, mutual-respect, and transparency -- take your car in to this shop. The owner, I believe his name is David, even spoke to me for 15-20min answering my questions and walking me through all the possibilities of the project -- he had personally looked at my car with the head technician. They give solid, reasonable prices. They won't hit you with insane highballing. Nor will they give questionably low prices suggesting sketchy corner-cutting or rushing. These guys took the time to do it right and communicated with me about it all the way. And they were also, by the way, extremely fast -- they rebuilt the whole top half of my car in 5 days and still took the time to meticulously road test it. Save yourself a headache and take your car to a real old-school, professional mechanic -- they will take care of you here. Thanks for getting me back on the road Buddha's garage!

buddha and his staff are so incredibly professional and nice. they do the best and fastest work in town. it’s the only place my coworkers and myself take our vehicles and the only place I recommend to my friends.
