Terrible ,Terrible phone etiquette/customer service. I called for pricing today and the lady on the other end wouldn’t let me get a word in because she kept rudely cutting me off to tell me I need to call back on Monday, because she’s closed and no one is there to repair a tire. If you’re closed then don’t answer the phone and if you’re going to answer the phone then have some level of professionalism when communicating with customers. Remember… it’s not what you say, it’s HOW you say it.

This is the closest inspection site near my apartment. Visited twice the same day, once for state inspection and another time for fitting license plates. Everyone I interacted were super courteous and very helpful. The state inspection went very fast even though there was a line. Very, very pleasant experience.

Well, as always, the Briargrove Texaco Crew at the corner of Voss and San Felipe hit a grand slam by fixing my most annoying engine vibration! The team there diagnosed and researched the issue and found the necessary solution, and repaired my vehicle quicker than expected and with a final fee lower than estimated!! Their professionalism and determination to get the job done right the first time in the most efficient and cost conscious manner is always appreciated and what I know I can expect from this group! I have been a customer of theirs for over twenty five years now and have always received excellent service with a friendly and honest attitude! I know when I take my vehicles to Briargrove Texaco that they will be in good hands and the repairs will be completed properly. I have referred many friends and family there and they have all had the same results and continue to use this Briargrove Texaco service station location! Thanks to Demus, Donnell, Ifran and all the great team there for always taking excellent care of me and my vehicles! Five Stars+++++

Went for an oil change and a few days later whilst driving to Alabama a loud scraping noise suddenly came from under the car. Discover that the aluminum engine cover underneath the car that would have been removed to drain the oil had come partially free and was dragging on the asphalt. I managed to get it jammed back in place for the remainder of the trip and it didn't break free again. But the plastic covers and aluminum cover were badly damaged. Upon returning to Houston, the guys at Briargrove Texaco apologized, explained how their techies missed fastening the cover back on and replaced everything. Added a free tire repair in as well. Was very impressed.

THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO FOR A STATE INSPECTION! Donnell and the whole team there are amazing. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Absolutely fantastic service, I'll only get my cars inspected here from now on. Thank you!

Terrible customer service. Dennis is loose cannon (manger/owner). Issue was that he didn’t want to do the paperwork for a company car that has direct billing to enterprise. He complain that I wouldn’t pay out of pocket followed by telling me I had no respect and shouting expletives. He even tried to get me to just pay $15. Of the inspection fee. He just didn’t understand that I cannot pay out of pocket because I will not be reimbursed. My car information was already in the system and was just one or two clicks away, but he snapped. Never going back again, as I’m afraid of what they might do to any of my cars. @texaco #texaco @chevon #chevron @texacowithtechron #texacowithtechron

I moved to this Texaco about a year and a half ago when my original station stopped doing inspections. I’ve been very happy with them. They are so helpful. First time there the attendant fixed my hood latch that was sticking for no charge. He was just being helpful! It wasn’t a huge deal for him but it was for me. They are fast and upfront about how long they expect the work to take when I have maintenance done and I’ve never felt pressured to fix things I know nothing about. Prices seem reasonable too. As as older female, who grew up before it was ok for women to learn about cars, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate them. They are also friendly and polite which isn’t a critical requirement but it’s nice.

As a single young woman, finding quality and trustworthy car care is a must. I 100% recommend coming to this shop! I've had my inspections, oil changes, and a fuel pump repair done here. They never tried to upsell or convince me to do something I didn't need. They've earned my trust and I cant recommend them enough.

Came here on friend's recommendation. Diagnosed the trouble with my car as the starter, so they changed it. Leave and car won't start 15 minutes later. Say it's now the battery. Talked to the owner, said it was probably a coincidence. Thx for the $50 off the battery. Still cost me $800+ for a battery and a starter I probably didn't need. Stay away

It's been hard finding an honest place to get the state inspection but the people at this location are honest, decent, and friendly. I got in there on a busy holiday with 3 people ahead of me and they didn't moan and groan about it like the last place I used to use and they were upfront that it might take up to an hour to finish the inspection. They finished it in about a half hour and were as nice as they could be. Maybe it's a sad statement on society that I would be this impressed by this, but if you're worried about an inspection shop trying to upsell you wipers or get you to do extra work, fear not!

This place reap me off. I went there for state inspection. they took my car in and did the emmision test it passed but they failed me for tints on the front side windows. They could have told me that before they took the car. They just wanted to charge me for the service and they hold on to your car keys until you pay.

Used to go here religiously for many years for inspections, oil changes, fill ups, etc while living nearby. I was in the area and needed my inspection done, so decided to stop by. 5 years later and they still are by far the best station in Houston hands down. Since I hadn’t been in a few years I was no longer a regular/memorable face, but it didn’t matter. It doesn’t matter who helps you or who you talk to. Everyone there is extremely friendly, honest, and will go the extra mile to make sure your needs are met. They are also super quick for inspections regardless if there are people ahead of you. Genuinely the friendliest employees at any station!!!
