Giving 2 stars becauase they did give me ten dollars off but the reason they did is because a simple oil change took over 2hours , closer to 3 with wait time. They never let me know why after inquiring an hour into the change, and I was told 15more minutes which turned into quite a bit more.

Pretty disappointed to report that I such a bad experience at this BRAKEmax in Oro Valley after my engine light came on and I had to bring it in for a diagnostic and repair. I had had a previously good experience with a smaller issue, so I was hoping to repeat the experience, but instead there were so many problems with the service and integrity of this shop, including: 1. I called the night before to make an appointment, was given one for the next day and when I arrived, they said they hadn't written down my appointment but would try to fit me in 2. The diagnostic took over a day to run, and the bigger problem was that I had no communication whatsoever about what was going on with the car, so I had to call regularly to get updates. This is after I requested updates. 3. Once I got the final word about what was wrong with the car (water pump issue), they said they didn't have the part and would have to ship it from Phoenix and it would come the next day. At this point, I told them that we had to leave town by Sunday and they said they should have it by Saturday. 4. They gave me a huge quote to do the water pump replacement; I called the dealer and they gave me a quote that was over $500 cheaper, but the dealer wouldn't have the car ready in time for me to leave town so I had no choice but to stick with BRAKEmax. 5. They did not have the car done in time, so I had to rent a car, then fly back to Arizona to pick up the car and drive it back. Brutal. 6. I asked them to save all the parts they were taking out and they assured me they would set them aside. When we came to pick up the car, they said they didn't have them and couldn't find them. Really disappointed with the whole experience. Would obviously never go back. Tough time.

Great experience. Professional, effficient and caring. Visit was due to a blow out tire. Truck had to be towed, they new it was coming. But they got right into the job when the truck got there. 5Plus Stars!

12/26/24: So, just had our oil changed again today by brake max. Fantastic experience. Professional staff (especially Jeremy, the store manager) and had the car done within one hour. Will continue to take our cars for maintenance to this location. My original review from last year: Great experience. In and out quick for oil change. Reasonable pricing too. Will return for next one. Nice and professional staff!!!

Brakemax is the best!! Jeremy helped me when I called for an appt and the time was perfect. They changed my oil and rotated my tires within one hour. The atmosphere was pleasant and the people are very nice and competent. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

Just finished a visit to the Oro Valley Brakemax and must say they are a pleasure to deal with in setting an appointment, easy/efficient/expedious, and their courtesy shuttle is a great amenity. Well done.

Our experience was great! We were treated well! We had to get our alternator replaced and it was late on a Saturday. Doug and crew made sure we got home and back to the shop on Monday like they said. Our car is running like before and we appreciated the service! Thank you!
