Fantastic customer service! Wasn’t too sure what services were needed and I was kept up to date with a phone call and pics that let me feel like I was a part of the whole process. Once services were decided on, the labor part of it took just a few hours. So happy with the whole transaction! I will be back!

Update as I'm going through my old reviews: this place is a total rip off! When I went to go do the repairs myself the rear brakes on the truck were 100% fine, had 7/32s left, rotors were still thick and had no warping. Replaced the front left caliper and both front pads. I still have the pads I bought at oreillys to do it myself after they told me the truck needed 3200 dollars worth of brake work. The parts were 600 at ford for front and rear rotors. The caliper was like 85, pads were 30 for the front. Where the hell are they coming up with these prices? Do not recommend. I took my girlfriend's 2000 f250 in for diagnosis of the brake system after she told me they "felt funny". Although I decided to not go through with the repairs at this location the service writer was very polite. The technician got the truck apart, diagnosed, and put back together fairly quick. The waiting area is clean, have water, coffee and comfortable seating.

I love coming to Brakemax. They have great customer service every time I call or go in person. They do a great job breaking down what maintenance is happening and giving you a choice of how you want to proceed. They also give a thorough explanation of the repairs and great recommendations. If anyone ever needs car service I recommend Brakemax.

BrakeMax couldn't pay their rent if they didn't gouge consumers. All the managers should be locked up on FRAUD charges. They quoted $6000 for a job that's always under $800 and did charge her $439 to install a battery but when I threatened to call the cops they reduced it to $209 for her proving they're crooks.

The "new" manager Tony is super rude and difficult to speak with over repairs done before he started there. Saying some stuff not covered under warranty, I should know my vehicle better, and not rechecking a diagnosis leak that I paid them to repair. Both a/c and oil leak were "repaired" and both are leaking AGAIN but they won't touch my vehicle. I went to another BrakeMAX location and they said they were told not to touch my vehicle. If you work with this manager make sure you record everything and get everything in WRITING especially the warranty for the parts they put in & ASK to see the old parts. My car is undrivable after 3 attempts to "repair" the oil leak they diagnosed. After every visit the oil leak has gotten extremely worse and now I'm out of a vehicle. I'm waiting for a return of all my money which I've not been contacted for since August 27, 2024 so I reported to the Attorney General and plan to file a small claim. AC was diagnosed with a noise after the replacement of a compressor was leaking refrigerant after another replacement was making noise again. OMG. Update: the district manager said she would fully refund my money BUT HAS NOT called or reached out at all so now I plan to file a small claim in court.

They’ve made experiences better but worse also… they banned me from all locations after they messed up on my 350z and put a bushing on my suspension that could’ve ended bad… now they won’t respond to my customer complaint about them messing my brakes up I got them done beginning of this year and now my passenger rotor is shredding…. With hot spots. DO NOT COME TO ANY BRAKEMAX IN TUCSON. they will treat u like garbage.

Very friendly counter staff. Took longer than expected due oil filter unavailable, but still about the same length as anywhere else. I'll be back! 12-09-2024 I went back again for a transmission service & again great counter staff & once again some oddball required parts so took longer than usual, but nowadays that's to be expected just about everywhere. Yes! I'll be back (in my best Shwartzenager accent)!

Yesterday I experienced the absolute best service and care when I brought my car in for an inspection. There’s no easy way to tell someone they need to spend over 1,000 dollars on a repair, Veronica not only explained why the repair was important but also offered options to help pay for such a sudden charge. After that they also offered a ride for me and my dog anywhere while they worked. I’m honestly impressed with how well they treated me and confident this will be the only shop I use for my car.

I took my car into the BrakeMax on Thornydale the afternoon before a major holiday due to my car suddenly giving me serious driving issues and my check engine light turning on, Veronica offered to give me assistance even though it was 30 minutes before closing which really helped put my stress at ease. Throughout this whole experience I was kept in the loop every step of the way and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you again to Veronica, this was probably the best experience I’ve had at a auto center I definitely found my place of choice whenever my car gives me issues again!

I went in for a brake inspection and was told my vehicle needed new brake pads all around. They mentioned the rotors were still in good shape and suggested addressing the suspension system when I had the chance. I decided to get the brake pads replaced and the rotors resurfaced, but when I saw the pricing, it seemed excessive for the labor involved. The parts, with promotions and discounts, were only $40, but the labor cost was $550, which felt outrageous for the work being done. I decided to check with Brake Masters for a comparison, and their quote was around $380, confirming my suspicion that the pricing was too high. Veronica, however, was incredibly sweet and did her best to work with me to lower the cost, which I truly appreciated. Despite her efforts, I won’t be returning for future services.

The service was excellent Hector is outstanding...was very friendly and professional and took the time to explain everything in detail Glen did an awesome job fixing our little Subaru Very timely...job was completed when they said it would be and there were no hidden or additional charges I'm a mechanic of 35 years and very skeptical of most auto shops but I was pleasantly surprised how thorough they were It was a very easy and pleasant experience I would highly recommend anyone to have their auto needs taken care of at this location and we'll be having our cars serviced at Brake Max Thanks again to Hector and the crew for your outstanding service Ron Russell

I had a brake problem that several mechanics couldn’t diagnose. The people at BRAKEmax didn’t try to charge me for something expensive that wouldn’t fix the problem. They kept my car an extra day to try and diagnose the correct problem. One of the technicians had heard of the problem before on another vehicle. It was reasonably priced and correctly diagnosed. I appreciated the extra time they took and that they listened to my concerns. I’d definitely go here again!

Store manager Veronica was very helpful and assured me that she would give me the best discounts she could allow. I took my vehicle in for a check engine light problem that had to do with a fuel injector failure. This location on Ina & Thornydale rd is much more than just a brake & tire store. I will be going back for future services.
