UPDATE 1/8/25 Still loving the Brake Squad! Scheduling took 5 mins, and was super simple as they quickly locate & find vehicle information. Our brake tech came out & worked in a snowy driveway, and helped us relocate our vehicle to ensure his safety & the safety of our vehicle. He was very pleasant & great to work with! Once project was completed (front brake & rotors), he moved the vehicle back & quickly took payment (as quoted!) and had everything wrapped up after about an hour & half! That was for brakes & rotors, both front & back. STILL highly recommend! (Original review) I had the pleasure of using “The Brake Squad” on one of my vehicles today, and I had such a positive experience that I had to share! Scheduling was a breeze - their team quickly and efficiently diagnosed my issue, got me set up with an appointment, and allowed me to pick a convenient location FOR ME! For my appointment, the brake specialist, Alex, showed up right on time, and was extremely pleasant. It didn’t me long to see that he was both professional, and an expert at what he does. His truck had a “3000 brake repairs” achievement on it, which gave me such a feeling of relief with his craftsmanship. He then proceeded to answer a few questions about my vehicle for me, and show me what he was doing as he went about working. I ran a quick errand, and by the time I came back (30 minutes) he was completely wrapped up with both of my back brake pads and rotors! At the end of the transaction, I was even more pleased that the price was super fair, considering I didn’t have to go wait in a mechanics shop for a couple hours and make a trip out of my way. They came to me! All in all, I would highly recommend this amazing company! I doubt I’ll ever visit a shop for brake related repairs or replacements ever again. Thank you to Alex & your team!

Joe and Brian from Brake Squad got my brakes fixed fast, conveniently, and affordably. I submitted a request for a quote online the night before and got a call back the next morning at 10. By 5pm my brakes were done and I barely even needed to leave my house! I would highly recommend Brake Squad for service, convenience, and price!

The technician was very polite, knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions and concerns. He was on time and patiently waited due to running late. Job was done greatly! My brakes do not scrape anymore! Overall great experience and great job!

Had a great experience with this crew until I took my Subaru in for the next oil change. First issue was that a set of brake pads were installed upside down. Not good and $195 to repair. Next issue the lug nuts on one of the tires was tightened too much and when taking the tire off broke. Another $200. Sent an email to Brake Squad and no response. So unless you can check your installation and ensure the job was done right you could also experience something almost a year later as a result of their work. I’ll be using my dealer going forward as I might pay more but at least it’s done right.

Joe and Brian arrived right on time Saturday morning to replace all the brakes, pads and rotors in our 2014 Mazda. They used Mazda parts. They were no more expensive than taking it to a garage, and far less hassle. They have a military discount you can ask about. They were both super professional and great to work with, so I feel like this is how we will have our brakes done forever more! I highly recommend The Brake Squad!

What a pleasure working with the Brake Squad!! Called this morning hoping for a same day appointment they said none were available until Monday. Within an hour of making that appointment they called me right back and said they had a same day appointment available. Joe and his technician came out and checked out my brakes. They test drove it and explained everything my brakes needed. Didn't feel pressured or anything. They genuinely wanted to make sure I had a safe vehicle to drive. They did a fantastic job changing my brakes, rotors, and brake fluid. They even notice my master cylinder was not working correctly which is a huge safety issue!! I have to take my vehicle into the shop for that but if they offered that service I would have felt comfortable trusting them with that also. Can't recommend Joe and his team enough!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! WILL ALWAYS CALL BRAKE SQUAD! I've used this company twice to replace my brakes/rotors. Two different technicians (Dan and Joe), both equally amazing. Same week scheduling, came to where I work, and completed the job quickly. Second time I used them, Joe took the time to explain the issue, discuss the options, and make recommendations. He also went well out of his way to pick up a new caliper for my vehicle! 4 new brake pads, 4 new rotors, and 2 new calipers in 2 hours of work. Can't beat it! Hands down the best!

I just had our car serviced by the break squad. Joe the technician arrived on time. Walked me through the process and identified the issue which was the front brakes. Replaced the pads and the rotors in 45 minutes at my garage and was done. He is was professional on every aspect, and provided details on what needed to be done. Highly recommend. Thank you.

The entire process was incredibly easy, from getting the quote all the way through scheduling and the service itself. The quote was spot on and there weren't any hidden fees or other charges. Joe was awesome and even helped me diagnose something unrelated to the brakes that I hadn't been able to get a clear answer about for over a year. I had reached out to a couple of other places, and they all quoted me $200–300 more, and I would have had to drop off my car and wait. Originally, I was scheduled for tomorrow, but they called me and said they had availability today, and within 3 hours, Joe was here and finished replacing all the brakes and rotors in an hour. I would absolutely use this service again and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get their brakes replaced. The only minor complaint is that they're not open on Sundays, but I absolutely understand why they aren't. Again, great customer service.

Alex was at my house on time, was friendly and did a great job. It turned out I needed more than brake pads, and he sent me clear pictures of the rotors and brake fluid and made recommendations. The price was fair and the convenience was perfect. I will be using them again for all our vehicles in the future. After everything was done, Alex went above and beyond by checking out my tires and letting me know of some problems he saw that I would need to address. A+ in my book.

Stellar service, convenient, on time, honest and competitive pricing than your Midas or mr tires. I hope everyone uses them. Dan was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me and saved me $1000 from having to change all my brake pads which the dealer said I needed to. Again hard to find trustworthy mechanics out there but I believe Brake squad is one of the few. I will be using them all the time and recommending them to all my friends!

***Updated Review 1-12-2024: After initially leaving my review below, I was thoughtfully contacted by Lisa, Operations Manager from The Brake Squad. She asked me to give some more details to my experience, and then insisted on making things right. Not only did she offer to the original price quote, she provided me with additional information related to the part quality and service requirements. I am extremely satisfied with their service and would absolutely do business again and recommend The Brake Squad to friends and family. 5 stars for the great installer, and the company that stands by it's word and work. Original Review: Up front, the installer, Dan, was really nice and the work was completed. A few reasons for the lower rating. First, I was quoted the same price twice, one with just the make model type of the car, and then with the actual Vin. When Dan arrived, he immediately said I was quoted too low of a price and blamed their receptionist. So he said he would have to add $160 to the front and rear break pad replacements. In total, front and rear pads were $400, which I could have ordered same for $160. But it's okay. I'm more upset about the multiple misquotes. Then with labor and tax a front and back pad only replacement was $760 (labor and tax in this number). I was quoted $1550 for pads + rotors. I initially went with Brake Squad to save money, but the Audi dealer wanted $1700 for pads and rotors, with higher quality pads and rotors, a brake line flush, and a dealer warranty. No savings here. Finally, it was said it would be a 1 hour job but took almost 3. 2 stars for Dan being great and having convenience of not having to go to a shop or dealer. -3 stars for time, price and party quality, and questionable upmarked price on the spot

Brake Squad replaced my rotors, break pads and other am very pleased with the work. The technician arrived on time and said it would take about a little over an hour. Work was done on time! Much better than taking it to a shop where it would take all day. I will use Brake Squad again for all my brake work!!

Could not be more pleased with the professional, convenient and transparent service I received. The Rep that worked on my vehicle was Dan. He showed me clearly what needed to be done which was less than I had anticipated having 43K miles, even though I don't ride my breaks. So that was a big plus, AND he found a key fob I thought i had lost to my Chrysler months ago! We all know how expensive they can be. All in all though, Dan was professional, courteous, expeditious and as mentioned, transparent. What more can you ask for? Great Job ! Will be using them again and recommending them to friends. I always wondered how this is gonna work but I really liked the service and it was cost effective when compared to the showroom service. Replaced brake pads and motors for both rear and front. The service was done within 3 hours.

I haven’t actually used the Brake Squad as a service, however I did get a flat at midnight a few months back, and the owner Joe just so happened to be the one to pull over and help me out. He was informative without being condescending, had just about every roadside tool a person could need, and the best attitude I’ve ever seen in someone helping another on the side of the road. When I’m in need of new brakes, I’ll definitely be giving the squad a call.

If I could give any more than five stars, I totally would. Dan came out to put brakes on both cars, but then showed me how one car did not need them. I was so shocked at his honesty, his professionalism. They were on time, communication was top-notch, very professional, could not recommend this place or Dan higher!!!

Joe showed up on time (early actually). He did a visual inspection showing and explaining to me what he was seeing and how to check in the future. Upon completion of the work, Joe showed me the pads and rotors he had removed and explained why they were bad as well as some less common things he found with my rotors and why that happened. Joe was excellent, patient, and thorough. I recommend Brake Squad to all.

Needed rear brake pads and rotors. I found Brake Squad through a Google search and gave them a try. The price quoted was comparable to other places in Fairfax. Making an appointment was easy and they came to my house to do the work. Quick and efficient, PLUS no 2 day wait like other places. Joe and Glenn were very nice to work with and thorough too. Explained and showed me exactly why I needed the pads and rotors. Also, gave the recommendation on the life of the front brakes and rotors too. Will use them again for sure!

The job eventually was done, but it took some effort. Pros: Easy scheduling Cons: Pushy technicians, not on your time, required secondary visit to fix their error, charged for their mistake I got my calipers and brake pads replaced. Calling them and scheduling a technician to come out was very easy. The day of, the technician called and stated they would arrive earlier than the scheduled time. Luckily I was available earlier, so didn't mind. The work seemed to go smoothly and the technician gave me my keys back and told me everything was good to go. I tried to take my car out that evening, and thankfully I was going very slowly to test the brakes. The brakes were completely unresponsive and "squishy". I had to slam my brakes down hard to get it to stop. I called them back the next day and they stated they would send a technician out the following day. It was clear to me that they did not flush the brakes properly and air was introduced. Though it's not necessary, it is advised to flush the whole brake system to prevent something like this, especially with the rear brakes. The new technician arrived over an hour before the scheduled time. I tell him that I am in a work call and am unavailable until the agreed upon time. He pushes me to meet immediately and states that he just needed my keys. So while I'm on a call, I have to rush out to give it to him. This was incredibly unprofessional and inconvenient. He then proceeds to tell me that he had come to help the previous technician on the original repair date. And that he did not believe me about the issues with the brake responsiveness. I tell him to hop in the car and to try it, and only then did he believe me. He still seemed to firmly place the blame on me for god knows what I did. I expect this to be a free "fix" of their issue. He then proceeds to try to charge me for a full brake flush. After much back and forth, he says he can do me a favor and charge me for half. Mind you, I am still in a work call and have no time for this. I hastily agree to that, even though this seems completely unprofessional and I am being taken advantage of. My experience with the second technician and being charged for their mistake made this whole experience sour.

These guys are awesome! Got me same day appointment for my brakes, came in early and took care of my suv in a timely manner. Super knowledgeable and great price considering they come to you. Dan was my technician and I'm coming back next time I need services.
