Brake Check has my business for the services they provide from now on. Leo who's the assistant manager there, was honest enough to tell me I might not need an alignment. He thoroughly checked; explained the mechanis to me and told me an alignment wasn't necessary. I had just been told at Discount Tire, that I needed an 80$ alignment after just purchasing 300$ for tires from them. They didn't even want to give me a discount for an alignment at Discount Tire. I'm so grateful. These are tough times. The last thing we need is to be "played".

I've done my own mechanical work since forever but now I decided to take a break on this one. I know exactly what my vehicles need and it was refreshing to find an honest individual that tells you exactly what's needed. Excellent work.

I cannot express how well I am treated as a valued customer @ Brake Check on North San Pedro. The process for today's repair was clearly explained. Plus, it was outstanding to go in the bay to see exactly what the issue was, and what the repair required. Courtesy, knowledgeable technicians, and kindness keeps me a loyal customer.

Understaffed, poorly managed, and inattentive. Appointment times are meaningless and the service takes forever because they overbook and don’t prioritize well. This has been my experience with multiple alignments. They prioritize cars poorly, actually removed my car from the lift at one point to service a walk in’s request. The shop on overlook parkway tends to be the same. I’ve arrived for appointments and been turned away because they don’t have enough employees. Last time I went there for alignment, the tech left all tie rod locknuts hand tight and they backed off. Super unsafe practice there.

Overall, they did a great job! Leo at the front was a great communicator and very responsive to questions and concerns. If I’d improve anything, it would be wait times and more accurate wait estimates. Took a little longer on the inspection than expected. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this location.

I have been to this location in San Antonio before with another vehicle. They have always been upfront about the work and the cost. Leonard was a great guy to talk to about my truck. Had a 1030 appt, got there at 845 to drop it off. They immediately took it into the bay for the inspection and service began at 945. Service was done quickly and I am pleased with the work. Thanks again.

I just had a super quick and easy break hose repaired at brake check. The staff there were very friendly, I was traveling the next day I needed this urgently done. I was in and out of there within a very short period of time they even waited for me to pick up the vehicle. Very professional And the cost was reasonable. Highly recommend.

John and the crew at Brake Check took great care of me! Got my car in and out so fast and made sure to go over everything they found and tell me what was needed now and what could wait. John also gave me info about their great oil change prices and set a reminder for a year from now to check on a future/potential brake issue. I’d give them 10 starts if i could!

My experience at Brake Check was one of the best ever. Their time and attention to my vehicle was very well spent. They kept me updated on what the situation with my vehicle was as they completed steps. I felt at all times as though I trusted them. The manager was very kind and considerate of my special needs as I’m in a wheelchair and made sure I was comfortable when I was there. Definitely will return when the need arises.
