Bait and switch they will say whatever they need to over the phone just to get your vehicle here. There are plenty of automotive repair places and would not recommend this one

Wish I could say I had a good experience this time around but that would be a lie. Set an appointment 1 week ahead of time with Tim told him I had a big drive ahead of me and it was important to get my vehicle serviced. Tim said it would not be a problem and to drop it off the night before so he would have proper time to take care of what's needed. Nothing on my vehicle was done except a diagnosis and they kept my vehicle for a day and a half. Was charged $85 And still have the check service light on. Tim specifically will say whatever you want over the phone just to get your vehicle here.

Thursday 2 PM. Leaving work early to pick up son to go to his baseball tournament in Phoenix, his first out of state tournament, he's been geeked up about this for a month. I get in my car and - it's running horrible. For a moment, I think, 'ah, I can probably make it, driving through the desert, what's the worst that could happen?', but I take it into Bond's and explain my time constraints. They QUICKLY diagnose a dead ignition coil. I start thinking about rental cars. They call multiple places finally finding a part that can get delivered TODAY!. While they wait for the parts to arrive, they pull out old dead parts and get everything ready to roll. I call the wife to pick up son and bring him to Bonds. The car is ready BEFORE my son arrives. By 3:45 I'm on the road east. Amazing service. If my son's team was nearly as good they would have won the tournament, rather than coming in second! Thanks, Bond's!

Bond’s has been our “go to” mechanic and body shop since it opened for business 20+ years ago! We have followed this family run business to every location it has moved to as the business grew. And it is no wonder that it grew with their vast expertise, professionalism, constant certifications, expanding to offer everything an auto needs, why would we look elsewhere?

Bond's Automotive may be unique in SD county, but not because it is an honest repair facility, which it is! But rather that the business is owned and managed by Women. The three ladies, Summer, Nicole and Margaret know the repair and bodywork business as well as any of their competitors. And they all have an eye for detail and efficient execution. Plus the whole crew at Bond's gives the customers a sense of reliability and trust. When your car has a problem, Bond's Automotive is a smart choice for a solution.

DO NOT GO TO BONDS AUTOMOTIVE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE OVERCHARGED AND POTENTIALLY SCAMMED. My family has been giving their business to Bonds for decades now, and ever since Mike left, his daughter has been doing nothing but screwing the loyal and valuable customers that have been with the shop for years now. I brought in my 1994 F150 to get fixed up. They did some work, and gave it back to me with a leaking transmission case. I return the truck to them, they reseal the case, redid all my transmission seals with a new seal kit, and gave me the truck back. Soon after I get the truck back, I’m driving it home, and sure enough the rear seal blows out, and my transmission has a complete failure. Upon delivering the truck back to them, they continuously lie to me and tell me that they never touched my seals, and force me to pay for a transmission rebuild. I didn’t even authorize them to fix it. I would’ve just brought the truck back home and had someone else fix the transmission, but they went ahead and did it and said you owe us money now. After I pay them, I notice on my previous ticket that THEY DID DO MY SEALS. AFTER BEING TOLD FOR WEEKS ON END THAT THEY NEVER TOUCHED MY SEALS, AFTER BEING HARASSED AND HOUNDED FOR WEEKS BY SUMMER TO PAY THE $3,000 BILL FOR THE REBUILD ON MY TRANSMISSION THAT THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR DESTROYING. So on top of the thousands of dollars I spent on transmission work that went for nothing, I also had to spend another $1100 getting my truck shipped back up to Wyoming because I could not justify trusting the work that they had done to my motor after what they did to my transmission. I’ve sent numerous emails and I have left several messages for Summer, letting her know that she needs to refund me the money for the work that they scammed me out of and she is MIA. Haven’t heard a word. She is either “not in the shop“ whenever I call or she’s busy or some other lame excuse. I am completely disgusted with this shop and their willingness to scam such a loyal customer who’s family has been bringing them business for DECADES. And this is not the first time this has happened, to me or to others, this has been an ongoing thing for many customers for the past few years now. Very disgusted. I will never recommend them to any of my friends or family members ever again

I brought my Aston Martin to Bond's at the recommendation of FIX repair up the street. The car had a thumping noise whenever I went over a bump.The dealer had looked several times but was unable to find the problem.Bond's found it quickly, bad shock, ordered new parts and quickly installed and delivered. No more thumping noise, problem resolved quickly and professionally. Special thanks to Margaret Farris at the counter who took me in and checked me out quickly, friendly and professionally. Thanks. Amazing customer service and knowledge from Nicole. Our front bumper came off while driving over a curb and completely knocked everything a part. Nicole and team got us situated so we could get back on the road in a time crunch. They explained everything to us, how wires were cut to the fog lights and more. I can tell she’s a great manager and again super knowledgeable so grateful for her and the team!!

Edit: Six years later, I stand by every word of my original review. They're awesome. I really like and respect this business. I have never felt talked down to or disrespected because of my gender. They have always been courteous, helpful and above-board with me. I am happy to keep giving them my business, and I gladly recommend them to others.

On January 2021, I took my 1966 Ford Mustang Fastback to Bonds Automotive for paint restoration. They had previously painted a 1966 Mustang Coupe that had been severely keyed. It was completed in 9 months. It was beautiful. Nicole said they could do the same thing for my Mustang. 2 1/2 years later (September 2023) I picked up my Mustang. I was expecting a very good paint job. After getting the car home, I realized my expectations were too high. I discovered bumps all over the hood that appeared to be dirt embedded in the clear coat. I also discovered that when trying to remove any spots of bird droppings, etc. it leaves scratches in the paint when washed with a wet microfiber cloth. I also discovered hard water spots embedded in the roof and trunk surfaces. So, I had actually paid thousands of dollars for an inferior paint job. Bonds tried to fix the hood spots, but the spots are even more visible now. Nothing else was addressed. I also discovered loose bolts, missing bolts and brackets, and loose windows that would not roll up all the way. I also discovered scratches in the left front and rear window, along with sanding swirl marks in the rear window. These scratches were not there originally. The new trunk lock that Bonds installed (they lost my original one) stopped working (a screw was found in the mechanism). They claimed it wasn't their trunk lock. Components that Bond's installed were defective (leaking radiator cap, thermostat housing gasket). I also had overspray all over my new Black headliner. I was also charged for components I didn't authorize (front and rear window trim kits) or was told the component was included in the original estimate, but I was charged for the component at final payment (right front fender). I had multiple original parts that disappeared during this process. I had to pay to replace these parts. So, after spending thousands of dollars at this business, Bonds has decided to ignore my correspondence. I text the owner (Mike Bond) twice and did not receive a reply. I text Nicole twice and did not receive a reply. So, I believe Bonds Automotive's motto of "Always Fair, Always Trustworthy" is just words. This business appears to lack honesty and integrity. Customer's Beware!!
