John and his crew at Boise4x4 installed an icon stage 7 kit on my 24 tundra and did a great job. His crew kept me informed during the process and during pick up adjusted the suspension even more. Very fair priced compared to other shops in the valley also. Would recommend and would do more business with them in the future.

I was passing through Boise and needed some last minute fabrication work done on the storage system in my JLU Rubicon. John was incredibly helpful and able to get me in the next morning to sort out. His craftsmanship is top notch, he’s super knowledgeable, and a great guy. Highly recommend working with them!

I am from out of town and was referred here by another business who couldn’t deal with my problems.I showed up unannounced and immediately Anthony stopped what he was doing and came out and checked my vehicle. John then came in and assisted Anthony checking for potential problems. These guys were busy but they took me in because they knew that I was from out of town and on the road. They put me ahead of everything else they had going on.Cannot say enough about the customer service from John and Anthony and the caliber of work that they did for me and my wife., I will be forever Grateful to John for getting me back on the road and heading home. I was referred to Boise 4X4 through another business and I'm so happy they did. The attention and customer service they gave me was excellent! Anthony kept me informed of the progress of my suspension lift I was having. They ran into a problem with one of my wheels and Anthony went above and beyond searching for a wheel for me. These guys are great! Highly recommended.!

Recently completed trip on the Alaskan Highway and my Jeep suspension got hammered. On top of that, I’m from California and did not have my own tools to do retorque. Dropped into Boise 4x4 without an appointment and the staff, without hesitation, agreed to do a complete inspection/retorque of my Jeep. A little over an hour later jeep retorque/lube was completed, including marking all bolts. I have my own reputable Jeep shop I use in California and am a preferred customer, and have never been treated with the promptness and quality of service I received at Boise 4x4. Thank you fellas for the outstanding service. By the way, all the clunk noises are gone. Thanks. Steve L

This is a revised review from my experience two pulse years later of Boise 4x4‘s ring and pinion job on my truck. While I’m sure this is a good shop for bolt on 4x4 related upgrades, it appears from their business reviews this is the service many people desire. However, I would not recommend having them do any ring and pinion job on any vehicle regardless of its size and use . Disappointingly I have discovered that the lashing for my pinion gear on both the front and rear are out of spec by a significant degree. Given their warranty is no longer valid I will likely have to take the truck somewhere else and pay for a a second install (pulse parts) to get the ring and pinion back in the appropriate spec. I am pretty disappointed at discovering this issue as the job did not include just ring and pinion installation, but also included a ARB install, which are quite costly. A failure of any kind would be catastrophic, requiring me to buy another ARB which is something I am unwilling to do. Lastly, I asked him to replace all the seals in the axle both front and rear including axle tube seals. It is clear that none of those were replaced. In summary, do not get any ring and pinion work done here.

Boise 4x4. This is a great shop. I have a 2014 dcsb 6mt Toyota Tacoma w a six inch lift w kings, gears and air lockers front and back. My truck was pretty well setup and I’ve always dreamed of finishing it the way I’ve always wanted with off-road bumpers front and back. I purchased c4 bumpers w a winch, light bar, pods and reverse lights. Time came for me to find a shop to install all the stuff since I simply didn’t feel like dealing w it and wanted it done professionally. After searching every 4x4 shop in town, looking at the reviews and calling a few up, I decided to go w John at Boise 4x4. One nice thing about calling was he himself answered the phone. I was able to tell him exactly what I had and if he was interested in working on it. He said that was his cup of tea. It made me feel good knowing that it was something he’d like to do. After I got my truck back I’ve been stoked about it. It looks amazing and they did a great job. Now my trucks something I can really be proud of. Thanks to John and his team at Boise 4x4

John and Tanya were amazing to work with. A little backstory: I leveled my gen 2 Tacoma 6 years ago to fit bigger tires and get a little more clearance. I was happy with it as a temporary solution but 3 cross country trips towing and 3 years living in the north east had my suspension pretty worn out and getting some rust on it from the roads. I looked around as I just moved to Boise and called a few places, John was the only person out of the 4 shops I spoke to that listened to what I wanted and what I was going to do with the truck. He gave very good recommendations and wasn’t trying to sell me something to turn a profit. I felt very comfortable and pulled the trigger. The supply chain is still a little slow so it did take a little more than month to get everything in but him and Tanya were excellent about keeping me updated. I couldn’t be happier with the end result, not only does it look amazing, but the ride is like a whole other truck, I tested it on some dirt bike whoops and it preforms flawlessly. There is a reason why Boise 4X4 has 5 stars, I recommend this shop to everyone now and even took some business card to give the guys at work. Very happy and thank you John and Tanya

Seems that legitimate reviews are over a year old, most of them two or three years ago. Invested time talking to him about several thousand in upgrades on a new truck when he then promised to send me a bid to begin the project. No reply after repeated inquiries. Time to close the shop and go fishing. Factual story.

Best 4x4 shop in the Treasure Valley! I have taken my tacoma to Boise4x4 multiple times and the owner and team are all very knowledgeable and super helpful. Prices are always fair and the quality of work is through the roof, I highly recommend and will be back in the future!

Called Boise 4X4 this morning about my Pro 4X truck. Have Icon UCA's with a low profile grease fitting. Had some squeaking. Tony answered and was all over it. Invited me to just come on over when I was free and he would take care of it. And he did! Great shop, great dude, great service!

Ok here is the deal. This shop is GREAT. They did a lift,bumper,winch,cab mount chop on my Tacoma. Came out PERFECT! Cost was VERY fair. I was surprised at how affordable it was. Not often you find people that do what they say their going to do. This shop is straight PROFESSIONAL. I highly recommend "BOISE 4x4". Don't even waste your time lookin around just take your rig there.

There’s garages and there’s custom off-road specialists. This business is the latter. They corrected a problem caused by the original suspension installers and also did a body mount chop that still looks like it’s from the factory. Professional, friendly service, on time, veteran operated. Damn good business. Go here first.

Tony is amazing. There was a rattle coming from my front suspension that I couldn’t find. I was taken care of promptly and professionally since the moment I called. He even offered to stay late and wait for me due to my work schedule. I was back on the road in no time and NO RATTLE! I am so happy and relieved to have that fixed. I am a customer for life now. Took my truck in to have a custom bed rack made to mount my RTT to. Talked over with John the ideas I had and some things I wanted incorporated and they built just what I was looking for. They were fast and fairly priced. Will definitely be using them in the future.

John is a total life saver. When I tried to install running boards on my Tacoma by myself, I accidentally snapped a bolt head off. John helped us out big time by getting it out. Very reasonable price and great service. Will be going back to look into a skid plate.

Wow! I drive a 97 wrangler and had some sheet metal/aftermarket light issues. He gave an estimate, I got there, I asked for more work than before the estimate, got all the work done and they charged me less than the estimate and gave me a sweet hat. (The only downside was it took longer than expected). Big fan! One of the few places I’ve experienced truly excellent customer service in the treasure valley.

Had a crack in the frame rail of my Tacoma. He patched it up perfectly and took the time to clean it properly beforehand. Charged a very fair price for excellent work.
