The service here was quite good, but there's a bit of a cautionary note AAA members should be aware of. This morning I called AAA roadside assistance for a battery check and replacement at my home. I received an online quote from AAA for $220 and felt fine about paying that much, especially because I was having the replacement done without even needing to leave my home. Unfortunately, the battery replacement truck didn't have my battery in stock, so they gave me a jump, and I headed over to this AAA/Bob Sumrel location. When I asked for a quote on my battery, I expected it to be lower than what roadside quoted me--after all Sumrel brands itself as AAA, and I was forgoing the convenience of home service. It wasn't. The quote was $275. I told the service rep that I was really surprised by this quote, given what roadside had quoted. The rep said something like “huh!" but kept on typing. I finally said, “wait a second let me show you what roadside is quoting online so maybe you can honor that." He let me proceed but it was taking a long time and people were lining up behind me. Finally, I got tired of finding the online pathway to the quote and I didn't think to call the roadside guy whose number I had. I needed to get this done and didn't have time to go running around this city, so again, I chalked it up as a “convenience" and said, "Fine, I guess I'm paying 275." So the rep prints up the paperwork and the total is around $240. He has actually given me a price of $205 on the battery. I was pleased for myself. . . But I'm not 100% certain that it would have gone the same way for someone else. Feel me? So I guess what I'm saying is that while none of us should ever assume we're getting the best possible price from any service concern, and we should all ask questions, I think AAA might be a slightly different situation. Many people, especially older ones, have a long history of trust with AAA and assume any company carrying their logo is looking out for them just like they always felt AAA could. It was clever of Sumrel to cross brand with AAA because they get to ride on that trust without necessarily having to honor AAA’s pricing (unless the customer is aware of AAA pricing). Any of us who have used a AAA car wash can tell you that AAA is not necessarily a mark of quality (not that it ever claimed to be), but it is also no longer necessarily a mark of trust--And that IS something it used to be. This is not to say Bob Sumrel is a bad organization, it's just to say that it's a car shop like any others. Buyer beware. Don't be fooled by the prominently displayed letters into thinking they mean anything or are cause for any shortcuts. You still have to buy carefully, and you still have to advocate for yourself.

I’m here at your shop and I need air in my tires and your crew advised me that I need to wait 15 minutes til the air compressor comes up!! Now with that self serving air compressor that be outside is out of order!! I had to go inside to ask!! The crew was rude as hell!! 3998 Red Bank Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45227. You have a guy there who use to work at Tire discounter’s right up the street from Aaa. I called his old regional manager on him!! Customer service at this store SUCKS!!

I can’t say enough about the service from here. I was in a crisis being from out of state and my minivan wouldn’t start. Had it towed here by recommendation of AAA late at night. First thing in the morning Megan called to share the game plan to figure out the problem. Within 3 hours I knew what the problem was, quoted a fair price and my minivan was ready to be picked up! Forever grateful for this wonder team of folks and big shout out to Megan! When in the area I will be happy to stop by to say “Hey”! Don’t hesitate to come here for your service needs.

I appreciate this AAA tire & Auto Red Bank so much! My car died overnight and I called them to see if I we could tow my car to their auto repair shop. I appreciate Nick for letting me bring my car. The service was great and Chandler helped break down the price point for the alternator and battery, labor. I always appreciate the great customer service at this shop, especially Megan. Thanks again, and I already scheduled my next service with them. Cannot recommend them enough!

Five Stars for Megan and her associate Nate. I was in a jam with a bolt in one of my tires. I contacted Megan from another tire location. (which I believed was quoting me too high for tires). Megan quoted me $300.00 less for the same tire and then made it point to make my tire situation a priority. I ended up receiving tires for $500.00 less than originally quoted and had a Lyft ride to my work. My care was done within hours and I was able to pick up the car on my lunch break. Megan & Nate when above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the work completed. I will recommend them my fellow employees and friends.

I’ve been going to this location because of great customer service and workmanship. Megan is friendly and professional. She is trustworthy and that means a lot. Rob is one of the mechanics, with years of experience. He explains the problems in detail and what is needed. I recommend this location to my Co-workers, friends and family. Great store and great team!

Nick was great- I left my car in their lot on Monday night after hours with a completely flat tire. Nick called me in the morning, ordered 2 of the exact match tires I needed and price matched them without me asking for it. Needless to say, I’ll be back. This wasn’t the first great experience with this company. Keep up the great work! Thank you!
