I needed specific transmission bolts for my Mercedes to finish the job and came here on December 24th, when most of other places were closed. Lee was very friendly and kind, and helped me get those bolts by driving to their warehouse to get them. He quoted me 3 times less than a stealership for the same genuine bolts, and it turned out to be even less than if I had ordered it online too. The point is that Lee and his team are good people that don’t try to screw you, so I’m sure it translates to all the work they do. He was also very knowledgeable about the transmission during our little chat. I highly recommend this business for all your euro car repairs!

I wish there were more businesses that operated like this. I couldn't be more thankful. I had reserved a rental car.. to drop off my Mini Cooper Countryman to be repaired. The owner, Lee took me to the rental car place and they didn't have a rental car that I reserved. So he drove me back to the shop and they immediately worked on my car so I wasn't just left sitting and stranded. It's just really nice and refreshing to know you're dealing with an honest mechanic. Lee will discuss your vehicle with you... And give you the details. It's reassuring. I highly recommend if you have a foreign car and you get in a predicament. Take it to Black Forest! Definitely a gem! Unfortunately now a days it’s not often you come across such genuine, authentic and honest people like Lee. Lee is the owner and I sat with him most of my time there with such pleasure hearing his stories. I enjoyed every moment! I had to get a diagnosis on my BMW and it was such a quick minor fix as I waited less than an hour! I truly appreciate him and Sydney! Definitely a customer for life! My maintenance warranty ran out at BMW and I needed to get the parking brake clip repaired. Apparently this is an infamous beemer problem that could be fixed by the manufacturer by making this $1 piece with aluminum rather than plastic. This vehicle has 18K miles on it, so you can decide for yourself why BMW doesn't remedy this issue. Anyway, the dealer wanted $980 to fix this. It does require moving the exhaust pipes and other chassis stuff to get to it, and they say it takes 4 hours. Today I met Lee. His shop has fabricated an aluminum part that "will last the life of the car" and he charged me $350 to do the job. It took his crew about an hour to do it. This was a refreshing respite from mechanic paranoia and dealer deceipt. It's like some of the reviews here were at some different shop. This was friendly, with a cozy waiting room, nothing but professional all the way.

🚩🚩🚩 Should've known it was a red flag when I saw other customers coming in because their check engine light turned back on AGAIN... Came in to diagonse and fix my check engine light. Charged me $95 when they only reset the light and said it will turn back on when it feels like it so they can better diagnose the vague reading.... or maybe it won't Light turned back on at 100 miles and they said that only half of the $95 charged as credit will be applied if I come back and get it diagonsed and fixed again. Waste of time and money.

I've had multiple issues arise that come with owning an older/ higher mileage BMW 135i and the people at Black Forest always do the best professional work that I've ever experienced, and at an honest price. They are not only very accommodating, but are also very pleasant to speak with. Every issue has been laid out in extreme detail in a typically digestible manner for the complexity that some cars have. I'm unsure what all makes that they operate on, but I know they work with quite a lot of Minis and BMWs. I would easily recommend them to anyone in need of quality or specific care for the more 'delicate' and complex luxury cars models.

Lee and his team at Black Forest Werkshop are excellent and highly trustworthy. I'd been seeing him for repairs on my 2011 BMW 3 Series and could always trust that his diagnosis was accurate and that he wasn't trying to nickel and dime me to get me to spend more money at his shop. I felt confident that he and his team would recommend the repairs they would do to their own personal vehicles. Very glad to have found this shop.

These guys are awesome! I really appreciate the honest and thoroughness of their work. I trust this place with my BMW so much more than the dealership. My transmission was leaking and they fixed it for less than a fourth of the cost of repairs at the dealer and didn't try to upsell me to an unnecessary replacement.
