Scheduled an appointment for tire and brake inspection at a 5pm slot (confirmed by their office via email) and then I received a call the day before asking me to change the time...ok I get that, no problem. When I explained I'm working under warranty, the gentleman on the phone said my appointment time would be fine for "any other customer" but wasn't going to be able to make the appropriate calls for warranty approval. It was pretty clear by his attitude that he didn't want my business, I'm happy to take it elsewhere.

Do not recommend if you need any advice or help selecting tires. Came in needing 4 new tires. Asked for options, he showed me computer screen with name of only tires in stock. Refused to offer recommendations of tires they could order. Suggested I go elsewhere which I’m happy to do. Will not be giving this location another penny.

There’s always room for improvement. They were efficient with replacing a flat tire. We took it in the morning and they had it ready at around 220 P.M. However, they have the expectation that you go pick it up right away after they call you. This can be highly inconvenient because people work, and may not be close by and may not have transportation. They would get a five star if they increase the length of their period, and also were more polite with a regular greeting

Francisco was a great help offering suggestions to get parts from the dealership. And communicated multiple times with me helping me think through the obstacles, and took us in later than usual towards the end of day to make sure we got back on the road the same day, while fitting in an alignment added to the job. Great shop with knowledgeable staff!! They checked car alignment that other shop didn't fix, they said the will honor their 6 month warranty on it - no matter what!! I will be taking my car here from now on, went early in the morning and they got to it pretty fast!

I had a very frustrating experience at Big O Tires on 165 S Van Ness Ave in San Francisco. I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and drove over 30 minutes to get there, expecting reliable service. When I arrived, they told me to come back the next day, completely disregarding my appointment. There was no apology or attempt to address the inconvenience. It was clear they didn’t value my time or my business. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. I won’t be returning and can’t recommend this location.

Beware: most of the quotes are given without service charges. They quoted my battery replacement for $250+ They charge additional $50 (which was not disclosed initially) to replace the battery while in other shops they do it for free. I also had to replace my tires here and had a surprise quote for labor when arrived in person. There is NO labor quote included when you check the price online, it’s all after the fact. Plus they “found” something wrong with my car and quoted additional $700. Stay away and shop around before coming to this place!

I am pretty satisfied with my experience at this shop. I had my tires replaced a few months ago. Had to order the tires as they did not have them in stock, it took a day to get the tires in. Replacement of the tires took a couple of hours. Service was fast and efficient. So far no problems with the tires as I did not order the cheapest ones.

No surprise, they'll try and up sell you when you don't need to. We came in today with a nail in one tire and asked what are options were and they pushed for us to spend $400 to replace our two front tires. We called our long time mechanic and instead he quickly removed the nail, patched it and had us on our way for $50. Ask around before dropping money on these folks.

Don't ever go to this location if you are female. These guys are consistently rude to my girlfriend whenever she brings in our car. My name and number is secondary, yet since it's a man's name, they always call me first to let us know the car is ready. Whenever they speak to me, they're incredibly polite when I'm not even aware the car is in the shop. Unfortunately for my partner, they constantly deny her thoughts. She can describe what she experience and they will gaslight her and tell her what she personally experienced is wrong. They will belittle her, tell her she doesn't know what she's talking about. Doesn't matter if a customer is wrong, if they ask you about something they're concerned about, how it is ever ok to tell them they don't know what they're talking about, and flat out refuse to do it. Everytime they tell her "it sounds like it's just this so we're just going to do this" Apparently they had enough of her today, because normally we get a call and are instructed to come in anytime in the same day to pick it up. Today she called back to verify the work done, and apparently this pisses the workers off so much, they threatened her saying that if she doesn't come in the next 30 minutes, they will leave the car out on the street for people to break into. If you need your car fix and have to go in here, make sure the man of the household does it, otherwise you're in for one incel of an experience. update: After leaving this review, the following morning, manager is blowing up my phone, and screaming what do I want to complain about after a simple hello. Is this really how you handle complaints? Aggressively harassing your customers?

Hate to leave a bad review for a local business but these guys refused to honor their warranty and repeatedly gave us incorrect information about claiming a Continental manufacturer's warranty on our tires. After 4 tries to get them to uphold either their Big O warranty or the manufacturer's, we called the manufacturer who sent us down to America's Tire down in Millbrae and we had no problem at all claiming the warranty and getting our tires replaced. Way better experience, beginning to end. Hard to know if this Big O location is intentionally dishonest or just don't know what they're doing, but given some of the other negative reviews on here I think it might be the former. Go anywhere else! Edit: I see that BigO corporate support chimed in here to say they'd "like to help." We called them twice and opened a ticket before we posted this review. They claimed the ticket was "resolved" and never called us back, and nothing was resolved. Their corporate office is just as bad, and just as unaccountable. Don't believe their attempt to engage now, they're only trying to look like they care -- all BigO shops are independent franchises according to them. They had our info and never resolved my issue when they could. Any other tire shop would be better than these guys, we're telling everyone we know to not use any BigO given this experience.

It took me an hour after getting the text that my car was ready to make it in to the shop and pick it up. The two employees yelled at me and told me they would never take my car in again because I left it there too long (one extra hour?) it was honestly kind of scary and highly unprofessional

I was directed here by my Big O tires store on Geary, due to my problem being with my air conditioning. I was so worried about what would happen because I had tried a local shop prior to this and it felt like a complete scam, so I waited and I'm glad I did. Very pleased with them and highly recommend anyone looking for service or tires.

Great people, great service I had a flat on the freeway drove over there very slowly to the nearest tire shop. Went there, got my special tire but I took all day for one tire. But it was worth it. But they are great

Woke up in a city I don’t live in and has very little parking. While driving someone flagged me down and brought to my attention that I had a flat… couldn’t find a gas station that even had air…called these guys and they had me come in were very prompt, helpful and it didn’t take very long at all. I cannot recommend this plus enough. Best customer service experience I’ve had anywhere in a long time. Came in with a flat tire on a hertz rental. Hertz was not approving my voucher in a timely manner but big o tires changed my tire even without the voucher being approved so I could go on my way. Amazing experience thank you guys.

Super convenient and straight-forward website for seeing what services are offered and making an appointment. I purchased new tires and made an appointment a couple days later to get them put on my car as well as get an alignment, oil change, and brake check. The pricing on the website is not all-inclusive, but I received two calls from the location before my appointment was formally made making sure I was aware of what the full price would be - I really appreciate this transparency and over-communication. Would definitely recommend this location.
