Brian has been servicing my vehicle for several years now. I initially brought my car to Brian because another shop quoted me $6,000 to repair, including a number of unnecessary repairs . Brian did the job for 1/3 the cost of the original quote. Brian always gives me a fair price and does an excellent job.

Possibly the only honest mechanic I've ever met. Rebuilt my engine and has been running better than ever and charged me very fair rates. Overall, great experience and Brian is a nice and knowledgeable guy

Brian went above and beyond my expectations. I highly recommend taking your vehicle here. Being from a small town where you know your mechanic personally, I was really nervous when I needed a new clutch here in the Boise Valley. There’s so many places that will misquote, take advantage or try to upsell you any chance they get. A good friend highly suggested I go to Bench Garage and I am relieved I did. The price was fair(actually under), the job was done with honest effort, integrity and as timely as it could have gone. My beloved vehicle is back with buttery smooth gears and it feels like brand new again. I will definitely be bringing my car back here if I need any further work done to it! Thank you, Bench Garage!

From out of town and both headlights stopped working, told the shop I needed to leave in 2 days. They got it in quick and turns out both headlight bulbs went out at the same time. Cheap and quick fix. These guys are honest and awesome!!

If you want a mechanic with a strong moral compass, go here! They are honest, charge very reasonable prices, and they are nice ☺️ I dropped my car off to have my oil changed and get the brakes done. My brakes were occasionally making noise and another mechanic had told me they needed to be done, so I looked around for a mechanic near me with good reviews and found Bench Garage. Much to my surprise, Brian told me I actually didn't need my brakes done. They had plenty of life left on them. He said something along the lines of, "I could have done them, but I want to wake up tomorrow and still like the person I am." He ended up just cleaning up the drums and didn't even charge me for it! Apparently the dirty drums were causing the occasional noises. I ended up only paying for the oil change and his rates for that were more than reasonable. I really appreciated his honesty, especially since I would have been so easy to take advantage of. I definitely recommend Bench Garage!

I have known Brian for 10 years and have been taking my vehicles to him for maintenance and repairs for years. He has owed Bench Garage for 3 years now and I continue to be a loyal customer for my SUV and truck repairs. Brian and Austin are very knowledgeable and through with their work.There has been times they have found something that wasn't originally what I was there for and also didn't know there was a problem and let me know and fixed. Brian is reliable and always has fair prices. I love the Bench Garage crew.

Trustworthy, affordable, and courteous. I asked them to check three things on my car. They told me that two of the things weren't an issue, and didn't need to be fixed, but that one did (my radiator fan). This indicates to me that they're trustworthy and not just out to get every dollar they can for unnecessary work. They also noticed several repairs that were more critical, which had to do with my wheel's connection to my car. I was very glad that they found that issue before a tire popped off while I was driving! In addition, they completed the work within the time constraint that we needed the car done. They spent time with me to show me what had gone wrong with some of my ball bearings. Based on experiences with prior car shops (which, granted, is not extensive), I'd expected a bill close to $1000, but they came in at $550. Very happy and will return in the future. The only thing is that there are a lot of cars outside and the front office area is fairly disorganized and dirty. It made me a little nervous at first, but I'd seen that the other Google reviews mentioned the same thing. In any event, the disorganization seemed to have no effect on their ability to fix my car, which is the important part!

This is the best car repair shop in Boise! As a woman I've been taken advantage of by mechanics in the past but I feel very comfortable taking my car to this shop. They are reasonably priced and they do a great job! You won't be overcharged or tricked at this shop! Brian runs his business with professionalism and compassion. I will never take my car anywhere else.

We used Bench Garage for the first time and we're so glad we did! We had an alternator and belt that needed replaced. Job was done quickly and correctly and came in at the reasonable price we were quoted. Brian was polite, professional and did a fantastic job explaining everything that needed done. He also fixed our tailgate that was stuck in the closed position at no extra charge. We will definitely be using them for any future issues.

Brian and his team are awesome. My kids and I got stuck in Idaho due to a bad gasket. After stopping at several places, we stopped in to see them. We explained the problems and Brian found it right away! We were just passing through when the car broke down. But thankfully he works on Japanese vehicles. So my Isuzu was a cinch. We had to stay overnight. But he paid for the Uber!! I’d recommend coming here to anybody in Boise! Best experience ever!

I drove to Brian's Bench Garage from Nampa to have my trans. fluid changed and brake fluid flushed because someone recommended the shop and I am very pleased with their thorough, totally professional work and detail that went into making sure that everything was perfect before I left. Brian gave me an appointment time and stuck to it and even though he and his mechanic Tom had to spend extra time to remove an exhaust crossover pipe to get the trans. pan off, there was never a mention of any additional cost for the extra work. I was charged what I was quoted on the phone which was quite reasonable. Especially knowing that the work was done right Thanks again guys for your service and be assured that I will see you the next time I need work done on my truck.

Came in with Jeep overheating, Brian flushed and filled the radiator and sent me on my way since I had a full day ahead and needed my car. Booked an appt. for a few days out, he fixed the leak and did the oil change at a really reasonable price. Highly recommend!

My Truck sat in the lot for two weeks without any communication or calls returned. Finally they said they "didn't have the tools to fix" one problem and did nothing even though I asked them to fix three separate issues. Undermanned operation with terrible communication skills.
