The service is average, and the waiting time for service is too long

Tyler is outstanding and so is the staff there!!! Great people, honest and fast! The knowledge and professionalism there is 2nd to none! Went to a "dealer" for a wheel issue (Maple Hill Auto) $300 and made it worse (Maple Hill installed wrong wheel part), went to Belle Tire on Westnedge, easy problem solved in no time! Great people there!! 🙏

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! THEY WILL WASTE YOUR TIME AND BREAK OTHER PARTS ON YOUR CAR IN THE PROCESS OF WORKING ON IT!! THEN THEY'LL TRY TO TELL YOU THE PART JUST COINCIDENTALLY FAILED AND TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR IT!! I took my car here to get work done on my brakes and in the process of fixing them they broke my wheel speed sensor (then tried to charge me $380 to replace it) AND somehow broke my brake booster and tried to tell me it "must have just gone out" (and tried to charge me $785 to replace it). They also put a bad caliper on my brakes (it completely rusted over in like 2 weeks while the one on the other side still looks new) and tried to tell me there's nothing wrong with it so they won't warranty it out and replace it. This was after I already spent almost $2,000 (probably more than the value of my car) to have everything fixed. I work at an auto part store and we NEVER recommend that people take their cars here. Take your car to literally any other shop in town!! If they delete this I'll repost it!

I've waited far too long to write this review because it angers me every time I think about it. I had recently bought my car from a good friend, it was only a couple years old with essentially no problems, however, on occasion, one of the internal tire pressure sensors would stop working, my friend said to just ask the mechanics to recalibrate it when I go in for an oil change, as that is what he had always done in the past. So I go in for my first oil change with this car and tell them about the tire pressure sensor. A couple hours later, they call me and say they can replace the sensor for somewhere around $80. I reluctantly agreed (I figured it would have to get replaced eventually). About an hour or two later, I get another call saying my wheels need re-alignment. I don't remember the price, but I agreed. Now here's where things get interesting, about 10 minutes later I get yet another call and they say I need new tires. I was very hesitant and said I will just do them later, but they pressured me into getting new ones by saying mine were "balding" and they "can't let me drive like this" and that "it's too dangerous". After sensing my hesitation, they said they'll throw in the tire pressure sensor for free. I once again reluctantly agreed. When they asked me if I wanted the Goodrich or the Michelin tires, I asked the prices on both, they said the Michelins were more expensive, but much more durable. I told them I'll take the Michelins. When I went to pick up my car, the total bill came out to around $1200 dollars. So let's get this straight, an oil change, a wheel alignment, a "free" pressure sensor, and 4 Michelin tires somehow added up to $1200?!?! Now here's where things get REALLY interesting, I texted my friend who I bought the car from who just so happens to be a big car guy himself and told him about how Belle Tire coerced me into buying new tires and how they told me they were "balding" and he said that he had just replaced the tires a few months ago. Not only that, but there was only around 50,000 miles on the car, so even if he hadn't replaced them, the stock tires would've still probably been fine. Now here's where things get EVEN MORE interesting. A couple days later, I was chatting with a friend outside and I noticed my tires weren't even Michelin, they were Goodrich!!! Those lying snakes had put on the cheaper, less durable tires and charged me for the Michelins!!! So let's break this down: Section 445.903 of Michigan Legislature Michigan Consumer Protection Act (excerpt) Act 331 of 1976 Subsections (1)(j), (1)(s), (1)(w), and (1)(z) state: (1) Unfair, unconscionable, or deceptive methods, acts, or practices in the conduct of trade or commerce are unlawful and are defined as follows: (j) Representing that a part, replacement, or repair service is needed when it is not. (s) Failing to reveal a material fact, the omission of which tends to mislead or deceive the consumer, and which fact could not reasonably be known by the consumer. (w) Representing that a consumer will receive a rebate, discount, or other benefit as an inducement for entering into a transaction, if the benefit is contingent on an event to occur subsequent to the consummation of the transaction. (z) Charging the consumer a price that is grossly in excess of the price at which similar property or services are sold. The only reason I have not sued this establishment is because it has been over a year and I honestly don't want the hassle of going through a legal process. However, something needs to be done about this abhorrent business and its deceptive practices.

Spent over 100$ on new tpms sensors. Was told my service tpms system light would go off. After about 10 miles it came back on. Went back in to have it checked out and was told that I either underfilled or overfilled my tires and that I would have to visit a dealership to get the issue (that was nonexistent before) fixed.

Got my tire repaired for free on the Black Friday weekend not sure if it was a sale or just usual but I appreciated it!

Had to wait two hours for a tire rotation. Poor customer service. Scheduled appointment on their website site but there are no options to indicate tire service so put vehicle inspection. That does not work in getting an appointment for tire work and was told I have to call for appointment for tire rotation. Their appointment web site is not useful at all and needs to be fixed. Morning wasted due to their lack of guidance on how to schedule a tire rotation. Seems a tire place would have that option on their web site.

I can’t say enough good things about Belle Tire! I had a flat tire and was in a tough spot, especially since they were fully booked for the rest of the week. Matt and the team went above and beyond to squeeze me in and got my tire repaired in no time. I was in and out so quickly, and their professionalism and efficiency were top-notch. Thank you, Matt and Belle Tire, for your exceptional service! Highly recommend.

I love the sense of community and social support I feel with the free air for tires. It's almost like communism or socialism!

Rachel and Adam were very professional, kind and patient! I greatly appreciated them today! They fixed my back window and I am so appreciative, because no one else would have taken my vehicle in. People...just be patient, because they don't even get breaks!

TLDR: Discount Tire FOR THE WIN! Walked in at 2:00PM, told them I had a simple plug fix on a leaking tire. Showed them a video of a nail or a screw head where it was leaking. I was told it'd be about 30-45 minutes before they could get it in. Seemed reasonable considering I didn't have an appointment. A total of 2 checks and 4 hours later, I was still at the back of the list with no plans to get it done tonight. The fact that they were busy is fine, what's NOT fine is knowing I'm sitting there and not informing me that it didn't look like it was gonna get done. It's now about 5 minutes before Discount Tire closes, I asked when they think they'd be able to squeeze me in, in the next couple days... The guy on the phone says... "Now, bring it by and we'll get it taken care of." It took him 15 minutes to patch the tire. The lesson here, customer service is what can make or break a business.

They were awesome. I called in the morning, Got a 1:30 appointment the same day. I had slow leaks in 3 out of 4 tires. They fixed those, balanced all 4, and rotated them as well. The charge was 0, but I definitely gave them a tip. Totally awesome place. Jackie that took my call was amazing too! 👏👏👏 I would highly recommend... Westnedge store in Portage, Mi.

This location is always overbooked. Doesn't matter if you have an appointment or not, you wait all day long. You get the same run around every time. Oh, we're behind. Oh, we just have one more ahead of you. Oh, we're trying our best. Why make an appointment if I have to wait all day long? Might as well tell people it's an all day thing. Drop off at 8am. Might get it back by 8pm. Just be aware that appointments mean nothing here. Not now, not ever. Time to find a new tire place, as it's only getting worse. And let me add, the quality of the bathroom is by far HORRID! How are you going to make me wait hours on end and expect me to pee in here? Doesn't appear anything gets cleaned in here either, must be because they are behind...

Friendly staff, long wait times. Recommend bringing your own sleeping bag and lunch box.

So I’m making this 3 stars because I think the guys here were trying. But after taking my van in to check the lug nut torque, and waiting around for most of a day, the diagnosis I got from them was more than off. They told me my rim was cracked and leaking. I looked at it, with them. And the leak was coming from the valve stem, but they said it was definitely a crack in the whole rim. Another shop told me the same thing, but after a 3rd opinion— it was the valve stem. Replacing it was the fix, not a whole new rim. Second, they said I needed a transmission (without driving it more than into the bay from the parking spot, and not checking the fluid level). I do not need a new transmission, my fluid was simply a qt low. Lastly, they said I needed new studs for my wheel/rim. To their credit, this was correct— as one snapped on a 1000 mile drive south to OKC. However, the repair for said stud replacement was quoted wrong, and was off on how the repair is done (told it involved the axle taken out, along with seals and bearings when it’s a simple spacer that the studs are pressure fit into, no disassembly of axles or seals or anything major). All in all, I was given 1/4 of the right diagnosis, with a margin of $1000 difference in cost. I do think they meant to be helpful. And they didn’t charge me for the diagnosis. But they should be well more knowledgeable on fleet vehicles/large vans if Belle Tire advertises that they work on them, and shouldn’t be worrying customers like myself that are well versed in the repair/maintenance of their vehicle.

Well this is a warning to all . I love the tires I chose but the second time I have bought tires here and my car has been damaged both times . Specifically the first time years ago they pressed hard to cross sell alignmest and other before even puting on tires . "No no just replace my tires I have an ace for that I said" . Months later I replace my brakes and had to replace 5 lug bolts that were stripped from extreme over tightening one was broken in the nut . Ff to this year same exat issue but ad the twist of an absolute smartmouth flake pushing to crosssell service like alignment and engine service claiming warrenty is no good if I dont "I stated no I have an excellent mechanic and just had it done no" . This year gain replaced my brakes and 4 lug bolts were over tightened to stripped threads / cross threaded and had to replace them . The gas they use in place of air causes a pressure change and will set off the warning when temperature changes and also the second time I went through that , with even late summer ealy fall was warm 80s then drops to low 20s the signal went off and tires were reading 22psi so had to stop air up to 43 psi then next day on the highway had to pull off and let pressure out from highway pressure was at 55 psi and dash warning let me know had to stop and bleed off 10 down to 45 psi . I will not return to this shop fore tires .

Good lord. If I could give less than 1 star I would. My wife got a bad flat tire this morning and when I checked her other tires the tread was pretty low so I figured I’d just get 4 new tires. Luckily I already had the day off. I used their website and picked out tires. I made an appointment for 12pm, went into the store and they took the car back right away - great! Then I sat there for 2.5 hours with no updates or communication whatsoever. I got up to see what was going on and what do I see? Most of the employees standing around eating FREAKING HALLOWEEN CANDY!!! Then it takes 3 of them to finally get me an update. Meanwhile I can see my car from where I’m standing and it looks like it’s ready to go. Troy then tells me “oh. It’s waiting for an alignment check” Why this wasn’t done when the tires were being done is beyond me. This is not the first time I’ve had to wait forever at this location either. I will NOT be back.

Had a fantastic experience thanks to Alex! I came in with a tire issue, and he swiftly patched it up. Alex's professionalism, knowledge, and friendly attitude made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend their service!

I would have to say the service is on par with other mediocre places. It does take them a while to work on vehicles. I got winter tires on and they set them at the spec PSI. Problem is, they do it in a heated shop. So when the tires go in the cold it pops a low PSI light. I went for the advertised free air. I was told that they have to take it inside for air and it would be "a while". I'd say don't advertise free air, or continuing customer service if the reps are going to send me across the street to another business for air. Or maybe buy a reel and hose off of Amazon to provide the advertised service in a timely manner. Update 2024! The service is still ok other than today. I waited over five hours, with an appointment, just for them to replace a tire…

It was a cliche in the system and already knew they hired someone. So, Troy seems like a great person and have respect for him

It took sometime to get to me as I was emergency flat. But Alex got me taken care of. And a big surprise that Belle Tire doesn’t charge for tire repair. Wow 5 Stars. Only recommendation is maybe have emergency move ups. But other than that 5 Stars

Over promise and under delivered. That has been my experience with this business for the last three interactions. It started with my taking advantage of their Labor Day sale. I put in my truck information on the website. When I dropped off my vehicle with the appointment, I was called and told that I had made a mistake in picking the wrong tires -- through the website that made me put in the specifications my truck. Of course the new tires were going to be a lot more and were not eligible for the rebates being advertised. I should have taken my truck elsewhere, but I just needed new tires. Then when I got home, the new tire was leaking. So, I needed to get that repaired. I called the office first thing on Thursday, September 8 and informed the assistant manager on duty. He said to just come on in, and that no appointment was needed. They would slip me right in. So, I came back in at 8:00 am and told them of my situation. The assistant manager said that it would take one hour, but that he was happy to get us in. Then, after waiting for 75 minutes and not seeing my vehicle move, I asked for a status update. He said it could be 60 or more minutes as I was "next in line" Belle has lost a customer for life. There has been little impetus to tell the truth. Rather, they hope by over promising that the customer will be happy. The better way to serve customers is to under promise and over deliver. Then, the surprise is pleasant and not bitter.

Dropped my car for an oil change, with expected wait of 90 minutes to 2 hours per staff. Decided to wait in the area while they worked on it. I called to check the status 2.5 hours later only to be told that it had not even been started and would be a few more hours. Deeply disappointed in the service from this location. This is usually my "go to" place for car service--seriously reconsidering for the future.

Free air is always helpful!

Had a minor emergency with a tire on my mower; I was able to drop the tire off without an appointment and belle patched the tire for free. I didn't even buy it there; they made no money off the transaction. Will be shopping belle for my future tire needs.

They did a great job. On my vehicle. The price was the lowest around and I even got a good rebate.

This location is absolute trash... avoid this store at all costs. Never been lied to then ignored so much by a place of business in my life. Waited over 4 hours to get a tire fixed while walk in after walk in got taken care of and our vehicle didn't move an inch. Save yourself a headache and forget this store even exists they clearly don't care whatsoever about customer retention, or satisfaction. If I could of given them 0 stars I would have!

Great service! I’ve been coming here for over 10 years. I’ve lived in Lansing, MI and Elkhart, IN and would commute to Portage for work. I used to work at the Verizon next door and they’ve serviced over 5 of my vehicles.

Huge Shout Out to Adam, Troy, and Tyler at Belle Tire! I wanted to take a moment to give a big shout out to Adam, Troy, and Tyler for their outstanding service during my recent visit. When my back passenger tire started leaking air, I stopped by Belle Tire to fill it up. After running a quick errand, I returned to find the tire low on air again. I approached the team for assistance, and Adam promptly came outside to inspect the tire. He quickly determined that the issue was with the tire itself, not the valve. Even though the store was closed, Adam, Troy, and Tyler went above and beyond by changing two of my tires and rotating them for me. They patiently answered all my questions regarding new tires, helping me understand the best options for my vehicle and the differences between various tire types. They even provided a printed quote for the different tires, which was incredibly helpful. I truly appreciate the time and effort they took to ensure I was well-informed and satisfied with my choices. I will definitely be returning to Belle Tire for my new tires and alignment in the future. Thank you once again, Adam, Troy, and Tyler, for your amazing service and for staying after hours to assist me. You all rock!

I went in for a flat tire and everyone that helped me was so kind and helpful! So grateful for their service!!! Thank you Belle Tire!
Aug 06, 2024
Let me preface this by saying years ago I went to a different location where they didn't tighten the lug nuts on my car and I lost a tire while driving. This time I thought they certainly cannot still be terrible. They are! Bought 4 new tires, left with my low tire warning light on Got home to find one tire at 17psi. A day later I still had a warning light only to find another tire was leaking. Brought it back, they said it was a bad valve stem. Same tire a day later was flat. The problem is still not fixed. AVOID AT ALL COST!

This was my first experience with Belle Tire and it was without a doubt, perfect. We got a good deal over the holidays, but it was the store manager Matt, and front end employee Tyler that really made the difference. Took the time to explain everything in detail and you can tell, they take pride in their work. Matt went above and beyond when the “ID Check” for a discount didn’t work, instead of making us jump through hoops, he just took care of it through the shop. I will for sure be Belle Tire customer as long as they have such high quality people to work with!!!
