I really appreciate the level of service offered here. There is no gibberish speak followed up with the look and pressure to do super expensive and commonly unnecessary fixes. They go over your options, cheap and expensive, advise on the most sensible route to go and why, and get the job done in a rational amount of time at a great price. Also, if you can’t drop your vehicle off, the waiting room is clean and comfortable!

I was referred to Bayard Auto in Jacksonville FL by a friend that has a lot of mechanical issues with his trucks. He told me to contact Thomas for brakes and wheel hubs and the work done was excellent and price was good based on using other mechanics. I am back for them to do more work on a work van. I definitely recommend them as a great company.

The crew at Bayard Auto Center are professional, friendly, and good at what they do. I went in for an oil change and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I have had other work done to my vehicle there in the past and was very pleased. Highly recommend.

I have used them for repairs on a Honda Pilot as well as a diagnose a check-engine light on Lexus ES 350. They provide an honest diagnostic and quality repairs for a fair price. I didn't get jerked around about check engine light like I had at other places. Turned out to be something they could reset and not some $740 part like another place stated. Highly recommend them just for the honesty. Prices are also fair. Good recommendation and price on set of 4 tires for the Lexus.

I started using Bayard Auto Center in 2019 when I needed a second opinion on my vehicle. The dealership I initially went to quoted me such expensive repairs that they suggested I might as well trade it in for a new car. Thomas at Bayard Auto Center had a different opinion about what was wrong with the vehicle, and they fixed it for a fraction of the cost. That decision gave me five more years of reliable use out of that car. Over the years, Bayard Auto Center has consistently proven to be right, fair, and reasonable. One time, I didn’t follow Thomas’s recommendation and ended up having to replace the part he suggested—while on vacation, no less. That experience taught me to trust his advice completely. They don’t have all the perks of a dealership—like a dedicated shuttle or a fancy lounge—but those things don’t matter compared to the trust I have in them. You can always Uber, and they’ve gone above and beyond for me by delivering my car to my house after extensive repairs or picking me up from home on their way to work so I could get my car. Yes, they might take a little longer than a dealership at times, but the personalized service and genuine care they provide are unmatched. Over time, they’ve gotten to know me and my vehicle, and I trust them implicitly. They’ve never tried to upsell me or push unnecessary repairs. That honesty and reliability mean more to me than any dealership perks. I highly recommend Bayard Auto Center to anyone looking for a trustworthy and skilled auto repair shop. Their integrity and commitment to their customers are rare and invaluable.

We had a mechanical issue while driving with my family for the holidays to Daytona. Being out of state, I was worried that the shop would take advantage of our situation and charge accordingly. To my surprise, they assured us that it was a minor problem and not only did they fix it urgently but charged a very nominal amount. We were out in 30 minutes and it really helped save the trip as we were able to reach the destination on time. Thanks a lot to the team for being nice and truthful.

Soo I went in for them to fix my window, which they did. But it's only been a few weeks and my window is back to not working and they won't email me back. And I tried to schedule a new appointment like I did the first time and they were so fast but now they don't respond back. So I just feel like I wasted money for my window to still not work

If I could give this establishment 10 stars I would. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone who’s looking for auto services. Thomas was absolutely amazing, I just moved to the area a few days ago and Thomas was able to take my car in one day and completed the service I needed, AMAZING is all I can say. I highly recommend this establishment, they have found a forever customer. Thank you Thomas and Derek, I will be back.

I visited Bayard Auto Center due to a check engine light issue, and while the front desk staff were informative and helpful, my overall experience was far from satisfactory. Initially, the shop began diagnosing basic issues, such as examining the spark plugs and coil packs—details I had already identified before bringing my car in. When it became clear that the problem was deeper, I authorized a compression test, which failed. The recommendation was to rebuild the top end of the engine, and I was assured that their associated machine shop was top-notch. What followed was a lengthy 3-month ordeal marked by poor communication and inconsistent timelines. It took two days to remove the heads, two weeks at the machine shop, and another two days to reassemble everything. After some time, it was suggested that they perform a leak down test in the bore of the engine. Despite being a relatively quick task, this took three days to complete. When I sought updates, I frequently encountered excuses about the main contact being “at lunch,” even well into the afternoon. Weeks passed with no updates, prompting me to visit the shop in person. Only then did I discover that the machine shop needed measurements for new pistons—a piece of information that should have been communicated much earlier. I understand that part delivery takes time and that resources may not always be available, but the lack of communication on these matters was frustrating. Instead, I was given fabricated timelines that they knew they wouldn’t meet, likely to appease a pestering customer like myself. Frustrated with the lack of progress and communication, I opted to purchase a completely new block to expedite the process. Upon delivery, I was dismayed to find my new block—worth $13,000—left exposed and being used as a makeshift desk in the shop. I had paid upfront multiple times, yet the communication continued to be subpar. After a few hiccups with engine compatibility, they were able to get the car drivable. I waited two more days for them to put on the final bolt-on piece. After reaching out a few times to see if everything was fine, they assured me it was and that they were detailing the car for pick-up. I waited all day, only to receive an email at 4 PM on a Friday saying the check engine light was flashing. They informed me that the heads were probably overheating because of the tune. At that point, I had enough. I went to pick up the car immediately. When I arrived, the car had not been detailed—it had been sitting there while they discovered the new issue during a test drive. I had waited hours under the impression it was being detailed. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and the job was not completed after three months. I understand some of the compatibility issues and they don't like using performance parts but I only had 1 aftermarket part. The communication could’ve been better to a customer with 10k in the hole. They had decent customer service, but this is not the place to go for rebuilds. In hindsight, I should have chosen the Ford dealership/perfomance shop for their expertise and reliable service.
