Being a recent owner of a 2017 Smart car Proxy, it was difficult to find proper service in the entire tri-state area. To my surprise, Bay Diagnostics is just 20 minutes from me and scheduled me in for a tune-up the very next day. Mike is the manager and is awesome, the communication and overall service was impeccable and the price superseded my expectations - A1. I’ll be bringing my car here moving forward and would highly recommend. Very professional, friendly and efficient.

The communication I had with Mike, and Jordan was meaningful. They used the Castrol edge product on my Volvo. I figured try them since they're only three miles away instead of going to Rockville center or Edison to dealerships in the past. They used oem parts as well. I had used them for my Toyota in recent years as well. My dad RIP used them when they were on Ocean ave back in the late 80s when he had a 4 door brown mercury comet. They were able to fix it where others couldn't. It would stall. The electronic brain I believe was the issue in those Fords. Every place has their pros and cons, and nothing is perfect. When changing shops its important that the customer relay, and keep track of all services done previously. The alignment which I would like done is competitive price wise from shop to shop. It's mostly labor. I'm curious if some places offer a warranty on it especially on NYC streets. Potholes can be concealed with snow as soon as one leaves the shop. Other items will eventually need replacing. However it's not an emergency. The battery and oil change is more urgent at least according to Scotty Kilmer youtube. Honesty is very very important. I realize its expensive running a nice looking shop. Salaries and all other expenses. However the consumer is more educated today given the internet. A car is a complex machine. One shop could say one needs 5 certain items like tranny flush, timing belt, cabin filter etc. Another shop could say you just need a tire rotation and alignment. One has to know their car like they know their own body lol. Keep meticulous records. Know the driving conditions, and climate where you live, and drive. Be on top of everything. Car should last a long time.

This is the most abgoing service. I came to change the oil, the cost is $120 per prius. It's a lot of butter change. But since I needed it urgently, I agreed. The car holds 3.8 liters of oil, brought its 5 liters. It's not clear where the balance was divided. But most importantly, they gave away the car with a crack in the windshield. I came to talk to them humanly, and in response they sent them. They didn't even talk. I do not recommend this company to anyone and now I will contact it only in court. The photo shows how a crack has gone all its way in a matter of hours

After a month of running to other shops and being disappointed i finally found mike he explained everything that was wrong with my vehicle and he gave me a direct price and a print out so even if I didn't want him to do the work I can go somewhere of my choice but of course mike is that guy I respect the fact he game me that option thanks mike

Brought in my car for a simple headlight bulb and they lack professionalism and frankly were just flat up rude. You would figure bringing in a $130,000 SUV that they would be a little bit more professional. Guy behind the desk couldn’t be bothered to to do anything.

Excellent service …not even 24 hours notice had my SMILEY SMART CAR up and running great in just a few hours changing all 3 coils the staff is absolutely amazing especially MIKE who is such a wonderful and compassionate person absolutely top notch work and price would recommend BAY DIAGNOSTIC to everyone! 🙂

I have been going to Bay Diagnostics for close to 15 yrs. I have an outstanding professional relationship with Jordan. I have ALWAYS been treated fairly and honestly by Jordan & staff. You don't find too many honest & decent mechanics today. I've continued to go to Bay Diagnostics because I feel as though I'm not going to be sold something unnecessary or not needed. I've been going to Bay Diagnostics for over 20yrs. I would NOT be going back if the service was not good. I would recommend Bay Diagnostics to anyone who wants their car fixed and done right without the hassle. Jordan is a fair & decent guy.

My engine said it was overheating I brought it in and showed the man working there the coolant that was splashed by the the coolant tank. I asked why its overheating and one employee said it's got to be either your thermostat or your water pump. I said you know what let's just change both of them I got a price agreed to it they call me back said they need another hose and a piece of plastic for an additional $250 on top of a $1,200 bill agreed to it.(had no choice) . The next day again the car was saying engine overheating brought it back,made me wait 2 hours to tell me the coolant tank is cracked.. So because I wanted my water pump and thermostat replaced without being diagnosed ,as they should have checked if it was flawed, they claim that the customer stated he wanted his water pump and thermostat changed and didn't go ahead and diagnos the REAL problem. (Honest mechanic would never change something if it would not solve the problem entirely) when I asked for an estimate to change the Coolant tank, i was told it would be an additional $650 and I would need to purchase a cap for a seperate charge ,that comes with the coolant tank.!!! CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!! they will charge you ENDLESSLY for whatever they can. the owner Jordan is one of the nastiest arrogant person anybody would want to do business with,, Because I went out on my own and didn't want to get ripped off , I ordered an OEM tank next door at Emils tire and mechanic shop for $200 (WITH THE CAP INCLUDED!!!) A week later I went back because the work he performed on the water pump was leaking he screamed at the top of his lungs cursing claiming he had no time and because i swapped out the tank myself I must have caused the problem (water pump and tank are not even next to each other) screaming get off the property and come back next week they don't have any time to look at it. DO NOT EVER GO HERE !!!!!!! I recommend a thousand times more Emil's tire repair and mechanical shop next door speak to Ralph , He's a diamond in Disguise next to that miserable grumpy jordan next door.

An honest place. Had my VW brakes done in June. Did not work properly due to faulty parts. With no hassle, for free, changed everything 4 months later. They also have a full time computer guy to deal with complexities of foreign and domestic cars. Not cheap. But you get what you pay for. Clean and nice place, highly recommended. October 2023. They did it again. Took my BMW in due to leaking washer fluid. They put it on a lift and checked it for two hours. Could not find nothing, probably tightened some screw, as leak stopped. Asked Jordan how much for the service, and he said nothing, as a courtesy to a long term customer. Truly a honest place.

I’ve replaced timing chain here, for my 2018 Audi Q5 , before to come here I was in many places, spent a lot of money for diagnostics, no one couldn’t tell what the problem was. And finally found this Bay Diagnostic.They are really professionals. They have specialist for European cars. I recommend everyone to come here, Don’t make my mistake.

My first visit was exceptional. Mike and Nick were not only incredibly helpful and kind but also patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. I’ll definitely return for any future car issues. What stood out most was their honesty—they didn’t attempt to fix problems that didn’t exist, unlike some other mechanics. Truly a great place with outstanding professionals!
