Appreciated that when making the appointment, wife gave realistic, accurate timeframe of service. At other locations, I've hated waiting due to standard setup of a shop or not really having anywhere in the area I'd want to wait at. However, waiting here was peaceful and aligned with the way I enjoy relaxing. Their dog, Penelope, is welcoming and just the sweetest. Then there's a courtyard that I ate my breakfast in. Afterwards I laid under a tree that has a beautiful fragrance due to the flowers it grows. The wife also says theres several coffee shops in the area to wait in if that's a preference. When getting my car back, Mike was thorough in what to expect for the near future of my tires and gave a rundown of what was done and my cars health, which was all good news.

DO NOT GO HERE. Went in for an oil change and was told I needed not only my brake pads changed but the entire rotor due to rust. Also charged me $3 just for telling me that my brake pads were supposedly at 10%. Seemed odd considering I had gotten my car from a dealership only a few months prior and I would of thought that something as severe as my brake pads being even close to 10% would have been mentioned. Went for a second opinion, discovered my brake pads and rotors were fine and well within the green, meaning over 50%.

I have been using Baba John's for all my mechanic needs on a 1999 Lexus SUV and a 2014 BMW X5 for over 4 years. Mike is always forthright and if the issue is something he doesn't handle, he steers me in the right direction! 100% satisfaction!

Mike is a great mechanic. I've been taking my BMW there for a few years now and he is honest, hardworking and just a really nice guy. He takes the time to explain his findings and next steps and is very cost effective. I have yet to have a car problem that Mike wasn't able to diagnose and repair. I can't recommend him enough!

Mike is a knowledgeable, excellent mechanic and I would highly recommend him. He’s friendly and takes time to discuss the details of needed repairs so you can feel reassured the repairs are what your car needs. He’s honest and doesn’t try to sell you on work that’s not needed and wants to build a life time customer of trust and satisfaction with you.

Mike runs a very honest repair shop. You can text their number and he’ll reply back promptly. I went in for a brake pad change and rotor resurfacing — he did a great job! I especially appreciate how he answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend him for any car repairs. He’s a very nice business owner.

My first experience with Mike/Baba John's was great! I had an emergency situation that got me referred to Mike, and his service and work was outstanding. Great communication, really reasonable prices and prompt service. Its a family business, so it's nice to work with people you get to know rather than a big chain. I'll definitely go back the next time I need service! Their location is in the same building as Torrey Pines Collison, so it's nice to know that my two favorite auto shops are located next to each other! Both family businesses that care about their customers and treat them well!

Best mechanic I’ve ever met! I made a mistake when adding oil to my car and added it to the power steering fluid instead. He check out my car to make sure it was ok and fixed my mistake. He was so kind and knowledgeable, didn’t make me feel like an idiot for not knowing where the oil goes! If I ever have any other car issues, I’ll be coming back here!

Great mechanic. It's an honest, family business and Mike is very kind and treats you with care. It's all outdoors, which I love (waiting area in a lovely inner plaza with grass, trees, shade, padded seats, super clean restrooms). I'm not totally comfortable around cars and he showed me everything and was really kind. I'll definitely be back.

Mike was awesome! I knew I needed to replace my breaks and he explained the whole process to me and gave me all my options. Extremely affordable in comparison to other mechanics around the area. Couldn’t recommend this place enough. If you do go and see him, make sure to drive all the way to the back where his shop is. Maps drops you off at the front building.

Very honest business, the owner is very friendly and hardworking. I had engine warning light coming up in my car, he wanted to confirm if this is really an issue before opening the car. Once confirmed then only worked on it and charged me.

Mike was awesome! He did an oil change and tire rotation for the same price as a oil change elsewhere, and he made recommendations on repairs that were honest. This shop is a legacy from his dad John and I would highly recommend going here!

So, I ran out of gas while at a business next to this shop. I walked over and asked them if they had a gas can I could borrow, and despite them clearly getting ready to close for the night, not knowing me or me being a customer, they happily loaned me a gas can so I could have a coworker take me to get a couple gallons. It is this type of amazing human we need more of in this world, and I will now be bringing him my business and referring them to all my coworkers. Thank you Baba Johns!

This is a small but exceptional auto repair shop. Mike is as friendly and helpful as they come, and was recommended to us by friends, saying he had helped keep an old can running long after its predicted expiration date. He has worked on two cars for us and always done a great job. We trust him, and isn't that the thing which matters most? Highly recommended!
