I found them to be professional and I'm impressed with their demeanor and willingness to hear the customer's wishes. I had a minor issue with an indicator light and they didn't hesitate to grab a meter, check the issue and done. They work with you to your satifaction.

At A-Z you are in good hands. You can drop your vehicle with peace of mind. You will not be told anything that isn't wrong and you will even be told how long you have to fix it and if it is drivable. They operate their business with you in mind ALL the time. No matter which staff member you come in contact with. A-Z trustworthy and affordable with no shannigans.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. Extremely reliable mechanic! My husband and I have had work done here on both of our vehicles. I always feel like I’m in good hands. The estimates have been spot on with no surprises. They’re communicative and keep you updated if parts are delayed. My most recent repairs were pretty extensive and I was in and out of there in only a few days. I highly recommend them.

We have been taking our vehicles to A-Z for the past three years after relocating to Sarasota on the recommendation a friend who has been taking his vehicle to A-Z for years. Without reservation, I can say it's the best experience in terms of servicing vehicles I've experienced! Best customer service! Prompt call back. Up front pricing pick your repairs based on what they found wrong while diagnosing. Doesn’t come off as an upsell. The issues are valid and should be addressed by responsible car owners. Whether you actually have it repaired….. either way no pressure, in and out. Great work being done here. Oh, and they fixed all the problems same day. Keep up the good work!

A-Z auto repair is a local business right here in Sarasota that services all brands of cars and from what I’ve seen so far at reasonable rates. My car is a Nissan Lease so I’m required to be serviced only by Nissan but I have had the opportunity to seek the help of A-Z Auto repair when I had a huge nail in my tire and I showed up at their business without an appointment and they fit me in as quickly as they could. Having replaced a dead battery, I discovered the need for a new brake light switch. Leaving for Ohio the next day, I knew if I didn’t get this fixed my new battery would be drained quickly as my brake lights would not turn off. The A-Z team said they were swamped but would try to fit me in if I could get it there. Upon arriving I was in and out the door in 45 minutes with a total fix. I am not a big, regular customer and I did not deserve the service I received. Relieved and heading back to Ohio knowing my car will be ready upon return. Thank you A-Z Auto Repair.

I want to share in the praises of A-Z Auto Repair. Thanks to the consistently excellent reviews online for the integrity of this company and its owners, Don and Debbie Metcalf, I called to make an appointment. From our first phone conversation, I felt confident that A-Z was the real deal. After dealing with very expensive auto repairs at the dealership, I decided to take my older Honda to them when I had a more complicated repair. Boy, am I happy I did! As soon as I arrived at A-Z, I was explained respectfully and clearly what needed to be done. I got to speak to the mechanic who was repairing my auto. Pricing was clear and reasonable (I had already checked online for general pricing of the parts needed replacing). The needed repair was done promptly, and the final cost was very fair. Very friendly, brought my car here to have it checked out after hitting something on the highway. They lifted my car up to inspect the damage and advised me where to go to get my problem solved, also checked all my tires, filled to proper PSI and didn’t charge me on my visit. Will be returning for my oil changes in the future. Thanks

Honesty adefine A-Z auto repair. Disappointed with another shop's diagnosis, I found AZ on the way back home and decided to stop by. I was extremely well received and had my AC repaired the next day for a very fair price. Another highlight is the interaction with the customer; during the process, A-Z called me twice to inform me about the procedures with my vehicle. I highly recommend it!

Took my F250 here for some electrical issues I was having trouble diagnosing. Even though it's a newer truck they were able to fix almost everything and what they couldn't has to be done by a dealer. Craig was very knowledgeable and thorough with explaining the remaining issues on my truck, and my own experience working on vehicles matched with what he said. The price to fix the truck and get an oil change was very reasonable and they had everything done before lunchtime when I had dropped it off in the morning. I'd definitely take my truck back here, these guys are legit.

The company that I work for uses A-Z Auto Repair for their fleet and I personally know a few other people that have been using this repair shop for 10-20 years each. Recently, I decided to switch mechanics and chose A-Z from all the personal recommendations. It has been a good experience. Most recently, my a/c went out and I took my car to this shop for repair. There was a leak in a very difficult-to-diagnose spot behind the dash. Everyone that worked with me was kind and patient while we dye tested more than once to be certain of where the leak was. They found it! There were some hiccups with the brand new parts ordered from the dealer. The a/c should have been ice cold and 100%, but in the horrid heat we are having, it wasn't immediately noticable that there was an issue. When I took it back, Howard and Raymond took my concern seriously and immediately checked things out. A new part was ordered and it wasn't long before my a/c was perfectly cold. They went above and beyond to get this right for me.

Ill start by saying the shop owner seems like a genuinely good guy. The other person who is at the front desk, with an aussie accent, is not someone I would ever want to do business with. Treated me like I was wasting his time by coming into the shop and trying to give relevant info for a proper diagnosis on my car. Body language and all the sighs, head shakes and eye movements screamed "You know nothing and your wrong" every time I talked. After being rushed trough my car issues, know what the shop decided the first service they would do after a test drive? An $80 AC service. On a car that would later fail a compression test. When I came in and gave my issues in list of priority. Was told "Don't worry, the mechanics will decide what to do" when bringing up a compression test request. As soon as I found out, I asked them to stop it and please do the compression test prior to anything else. I heard someone replied in the back "Too bad, too late" Very shady practice for any mechanic who looks at the list I gave, the reasons, and decides first thing to do is address the slightly low freon. Owner stepped in, stopped it, we ran the test and I got what I came for. I was going to give 4 stars because I would feel somewhat confident if dealing with the main owner of the shop. But he promised to give me a call back with a quote about an engine replacement within half a day. It's been two days, nothing. I'm glad others have had a great experience here but if you actually know your car I would not come here. Never been dismissed and disrespected like that about my own cars issues. Ive been dealing and learning about them for years. If you want mechanics to do the least needed service first to get as much money out of you before they tell you that your car is bad and they won't do anything else, then not follow up on a quote... this is your shop.

BMW X-3 mirror repair. Another service repair shop had told me it would take days and cost over 1000.00 to repair. Send out shell to be repainted etc. They used me existing shell / cover, found the part online and turned my car around in 3-4 hours for 550.00 and it is perfect! They did this months ago, maybe in May, and I have been meaning to give them the review they deserve. I'll be back for my next items - touch ups etc for sure. Thank you!!

New to Sarasota. Took my 2020 Mustang GT to A-Z after some recommendations. Super impressed! Great service, fast, and at a good price. Those 3 things don’t typically go together. And they fixed a rattle issue that a dealership had failed to figure out on 3 separate occasions. They have earned my future business.

Super nice, they inspected my car for a vibration that seemed to be from drivetrain, did not charge and referred me to a transmission repair specialist (Barbic’s Transmission Repair), since they don’t do transmissions at A-Z.
