This place doesn’t deserve a star at all . Took my car in to have a stud repair, it was under a claim from the company that had broken it. Called to check on it and was told they were going to call them because the amount was above what the normal amount then asked if I wanted to pay for it . Of course I said no , they were supposed to call and get approval. Called the next day and was told they could not get in touch with the company and when I said I would call was told it was better if they did . I said I would call because they were not taking care of it. They have had the car for 3 days and have not done anything to move the repair along. I called the other company and they said they had not received a call from them. I have taken the car from them and having it repaired elsewhere. I don’t like being lied to and deceived . They don’t care about anyone or how they run their business . Oh and by the way a hub cost 200.00 so their rates must be outrageous

Great shop. I will not take my cars anywhere else in Richmond. A trustworthy shop is priceless. They are busy and have great reviews. That's exactly what you want in an auto shop.

Axselle Auto is great. I use them for oil changes, auto repair and tires. They are always on time and flexible. The prices are fair. Highly recommend.

We have been going to Axelle's for over 50 years. There are two people you need to absolutely trust in life: your doctor and the guy who fixes your car! Dave and his staff not only care about your business, they care about their customers as individuals and the Lakeside community. There's always a smile waiting for you there, as well as good advice and service. There's not a lot more you could want from this long-time, family-owned business.

don’t go here. The receptionist is completely rude and ineffective , they cost way too much, and will keep your car for 6 plus WEEKS

I’ve called 3 times to get some suspension work done. I keep being told someone will call me back before the end of the day. No one ever has. I gave up and found another shop. I understand if they’re too busy, but just tell me you can’t, or won’t do it.

I honestly don't know why it took me this long to leave a 5 star review because I've coming here for years! All around excellent, and I feel so much better any time something goes wrong because I know my car is in great hands- would absolutely recommend with zero hesitation!

Started going to Axselle after two of my friends recommended them to me and after going I also highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid mechanic that's trustworthy. My car needed an oil change and they got me in and out very quickly, and the oil change was reasonably priced. They also have great customer service -- Mr. Axselle greeted me and I noticed that he and all the staff are very personable and friendly with their customers.

Stopped by another local shop for a state inspection and was quoted an outrageous price to fix a seized rear caliper. After searching around for a second opinion, I found this place and decided to stop by based on the positive reviews. They were able to take the car on short notice and fix the issue for nearly 1/10 of the price of the first shop. The team was honest and transparent about the quote and the work being done and they completed the state inspection that the other shop started as a courtesy. I will recommend this place to anyone I know looking to get work done on their car.

Took the Jeep in for a state inspection, oil change and tire rotation. Scheduling by phone was easy, dropped it off the night before and it was ready the next day. The only part I had issues with was figuring out where to park but they said it was fine.
