Gave them a shot after multiple unsatisfactory service visits with dealership. Did annual service for my 2019 AMG Mercedes. It was cheaper, efficient, and given an honest account of what needs immediate attention and what doesn’t. They didn’t try to tack on more things unless absolutely necessary. They even walked me into the shop to show me what they were seeing as opposed to an overworked service advisor reading off a report. They gave thorough explanations. Happy to say they earned another shot down the road (pun intended).

I had a great experience! Cory was very kind and kept me up-to-speed on issues with my vehicle. They were able to fix what the dealership could not! I was also able to sign up for their credit service so that I would be able to slowly pay the balance rather than pay it all at once! And they even waived the processing fee! Definitely will be coming back for any other problems that I have.

I've been going to Autoworks Tampa for more than a year, and I always received good service. I gave them a 3-star because I was charged $1700 for a pump that was $1020 at the dealership. On top of this, the labor was $1500, and the car still won't run because of faulty injectors. Kyle was extremely helpful and told me to bring it back, and he'll make sure nothing was missed. Corey was on his "A" game as well as the other workers there. I would make a recommendation that the company utilize all sources, including the dealership for parts to save the customers money. Additionally, if this is not possible customers should be allowed to bring in their own parts and pay for the labor with the understanding that the labor is under warranty and not the parts since they didn't provide the parts. I believe that diagnostic tests should be voided out if the repairs are done on the car. I read some of the negative reviews, and many left me with the impression that they were charged for the work and the diagnostic test. Dealerships don't charge for these tests if the customer decides to repair the car. Overall, they're still my go-to for repairs. Thanks, Debra, Kyle, Corey, and staff.

This was by far one of the best experiences I've had with an auto repair shop. Kyle was very professional, kind, thorough and attentive. I love that pictures of the vehicle issues are provided along with an electronic checklist for you to approve any changes you want, or not. Thanks for such a great experience!

took my car in for some work and was lucky enough to be taken care of by Kyle. super friendly guy and made me feel like a priority throughout the process. also a big fan of the modern way they do things here with the digital invoices and the option to pay right on your phone and then pick it up later, even if they’re closed. i’ve been looking for a trustworthy mechanic since I moved to Tampa 2 years ago and it seems like this is the place. will definitely be back.

Knowledgeable technicians who will make a video of the problems with your vehicle so that you can better understand the issues that it is having. The inspection fee is reasonable considering the amount of time it can take to find the problem. I don't know of a shop that doesn't charge one. They offer coupons for oil services! Take advantage of that, it's a great way to get to know how they run their business.

They did absolutely amazing. I was buying a 2019 Gmc 1500 in tampa and they were kind enough to get an inspection done on the day of the sale no planning. It was done super quick and they took a bunch of pictures and made sure to tell me everything. Mr Corey Christopher was my mechanic that looked at the truck in pretty sure and he was a super chill dude that was 100% straight up with me. I ended up getting the truck and i’m loving it thanks a lot to the whole team im tampa and i hope all goes well 👍

Had a great experience at Auto Works of Tampa! I received a flyer in the mail which is how I found out about them and I’m so glad that I did. I was able to get in quickly for an oil change and they also performed an inspection of my vehicle. Very honest shop! Highly recommend

The service was excellent, and this shop makes everything feel easy. Check engine light was on and they found the problem and fixed it but it came back on. The part was replaced again at no charge and extensive testing was done to make sure the light stayed off this time. My favorite part about this shop though is they fix what you ask them to, without creating a laundry list of suggested repairs as well. So happy to have my car back, and will definitely be visiting this shop for future services!

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. During the summer of 2022 I brought my Volkswagon CC here because the check engine light was on. The car was in the shop for 2 months.... Autoworks called me every week saying "they are ordering more parts because they can't figure out what is wrong with it". Eventually they called a Volkswagon specialist to come to the shop. The specialist looked at the car for 1 hour to then say "there is a microscopic hole in the engine". I got billed 4.5k for the labor and new parts (that weren't needed). I graduated college during this year and my savings got flushed down the drain because of their "knowledge" of working on cars

SCAMworks more like it. Took car here while back - they charged initial fee around $150, then wanted $1100+ to fix my AC fan. I took it elsewhere and got it done for half the price. Never again!

DO NOT GO IF YOU'RE A GIRL OR JUST DON'T KNOW MUCH. Im a full time student who also works full time who cant handle much of car issues. Ik that makes me vulnerable but i was hoping they could fix my car up here (check engine light is on). They charged me 1,000 just for an engine clean up (ik but i was desperate) just for me to still have my car engine light on. I come back another day to give them another chance to figure out the issue, just for me to wait 6 hrs for them to tell me they need my car for a few days to see what it is (they couldve told me this from the jump if they had worked on my car as soon as i got there instead of finally checking it 1 hr before closing). Overall i should've known better than to come here so i hope others can take my advice and go somewhere else

Didn't return a call, I was desperate to get a battery for my Audi Q7. We had service done on my daughter's VW in the summer and they didn't tighten the lugs nuts, so I doubt I'll be calling again.

My vehicle was serviced by Auto Works of Tampa over the course of a month and a half. During this time, two different services were applied to my truck. During the initial service, I was told I needed a transmission control module to make my truck shift properly. After paying for the service, I noticed a strange sound coming from under the truck. I returned my vehicle, and it took 3 days for them to track down the sound, and then that's when I was told I needed to have my torque converter replaced I got the work done and returned after 3 days only for it to have the same noise and kick back during a down shift. When inquiring why it still made noise, I was told you just need a new transmission. And I just found out I have a leak after they've been working on my truck. My driveway gave it away.

These guys are amazing. I had a terrible warranty company do me so wrong and these guys stuck with me through the whole way almost 2 months of me having to deal with my warranty company but they stuck it out with me the mechanics there are amazing the guy Amazing people great customer service wonderful prices, and they will not take you for a ride. They are upfront with their pricing and they will work with you. they will not sell you stuff that you don’t need You guys have a customer for life they Also do other makes and models not just European cars call them up ask him if they have any deals going on. They won’t treat you wrong and they won’t treat you bad thanks guys. I really appreciate everything you’ve done for me.

Very thankful I took my daughter's car to them. They figured out what was wrong and fixed it for a better price than I thought it would be. My service writer answered me as soon as I had questions. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I have to update my review from 4 stars to 1. I had to stop getting serviced here. I went for an oil change and the next day my car was making a horrible sound. I took the car back and was told I'd have to pay 150 to have the car looked at. I couldn't afford that so I took the car to another machanic that open the hood and immediately connected a piece that was disconnected. In my heart I believe they were being dishonest and because I'm a woman they were going to charge me for something that wasn't even wrong with the car. I was heart broken because I truly thought I had a shop I could trust. I was a customer for a little over a year.

Josh fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Josh also answered all of my questions and explained everything with ease. He even stayed late and checked my car twice before I left to make sure all was good. If you’re a women anxious about going to an auto shop or know nothing about cars; you can trust that they will handle everything properly/professionally. Also, they have a really nice sitting area to make the time go by. This is by far my best auto care experience I’ve had in Hillsborough county in the past 6 years I’ve been living here. Thank yall!
