I am not pleased with Auto Nation Ford on Mt Moriah .. The cars are not working properly, I've been stuck with a Lemon and now I have to purchase Extended warranty for my car because of all the mechanical issues ..I do believe I was taken advantage of because I'm a woman , I have a 678 credit score with a F/T job and I was only able to get a 2017 with a $4,000 down payment ..Please be careful ladies

I took my car in for a water pump replacement on my Ford Explorer. It was a 10 hour job and I am very satisfied with the work they did. The customer service was impeccable from Heather, She is the best. Without her it would not have been possible to complete this job. staff was very nice. however, they had my truck for more than 2 weeks before they were able to look at it only to find out that they "couldn't" work on it because my truck has some modifications. if that truly is the case, then it should be one of the first questions asked. so as a result, at minimum there are 2 service recalls that weren't performed bc of this. i think it is silly.

This dealership’s service department is poorly managed. I made an appt for an oil change for 8am and indicated when I made the appt I would be waiting. I arrived at 7:50 for my appt. It is now 9:40 and my truck has not been returned to me even after I expressed the need to get on the road for a full day of travel. Quoting a 90 minutes turn around for a schedule oil change is ridiculous and then not even being able to stick to that is unacceptable. When I was checked in, the appt info was ignored and I was treated like a walk in. Be sure to allow extra time if you use this dealership for service. Next time I’ll just go to Valvoline so I am not held up waiting.

So, mixed review. I brought my 2019 Escape in for a transmission fluid change. I dropped my car at 8a and picked it up at the end of the day. For context for the below review, my car is right below 100k miles and I had literally two weeks before gotten all my 100k recommended maintenance at my usual repair shop. Literally, 14 days. That maintenance included an engine tune up and changing the engine and cabin air filters. The actual transmission exchange was fine. Pricing was as expected. When I arrived, despite having an appointment made several days in advance, the check-in mechanic/salesman tried to tell me they wouldn't have time to do a fluid exchange, even though that was the reason for my appointment, I was clear I was dropping the car off, and had confirmed multiple times when making the appointment that I would have my car back for the weekend. He said they were very busy that morning and seemed to be implying that people that drove up the same day would have priority over my previously scheduled appointment. Obviously, they ended up being able to do the fluid exchange, but it was a bit of a rough start. As part of the service, they performed their free multi-point "inspection"... where they told me that I needed to get a tune up. I asked what they thought needed to be addressed in the engine tune up, and the mechanic said the spark plugs. I said I had gotten them swapped out two weeks prior and the response was "Oh, I guess you're okay then." When I went to pick up the car, the inspection report had also flagged my engine air filter as needing replacement. They had not mentioned that on the phone, but again, the filter had been replaced two weeks earlier. Engine tune up and changing engine air filter are both on the Ford recommended list of 100k mile maintenance. So, if you know exactly what services you want perform, they will do it (though they may or may not honor your appointment). If you need diagnostics, go elsewhere. Their multi-point inspection is apparently just reading down the Ford maintenance list and not actually inspecting anything. When people are dishonest in relatively small stuff, it makes me very hesitant about trusting them for future stuff.

The service providers were cordial and listened to my concerns with the car when it was towed in. I asked that a complete diagnostic report be done so I would know all that needed to be worked on. This way, decisions could be made o n what to do first. My concern with the 'service dept' was they could not give me report after having the car five days because it needed a battery. Why was this a problem? This is a service dept with all equipment and tools and workers. Why not take a service dept battery, hook it up, run the report, then remove the battery. Then call the owner with all information needed. Instead, I get to the service dept and I'm told, they could not run a report because the car needed a battery. This truly upset me. I left to go purchase a new battery and took it to the service dept later that day.

I only wish I could give you lower. You charged me for diagnosis that your technician Michael said in front of me that he never looked at it. Yet your shop manager said I need a motor. So I went to get a second opinion. It only needs a thermostat and a belt. You had my truck for a month and misdiagnosed it. I need my fee returned with extra.

I've been using AutoNation on Mt. Moriah for years to service our vehicles but they kept our vehicle on 2 separate occasions this year for close to a month or more. After they had the vehicle for close to a month to fix fix a water pump issue, we got the car back after spending close to $4k and in under a week we started to experience problems with the vehicle losing power and multiple hazard lights coming on. The care goes back in the shop and this time they kept it over a month with no updates or follow up, only to tell us the vehicle needs a new alternator. Another close to $2k for that repair. I don't think we'll return to them in the future after this experience.
