I've been going to see Troy and the gang for years and they never disappoint. From something as simple as a rotation and alignment, to full suspension and runningboards, these guys always deliver! I do my new car scheduled maintenance at the Ford dealership and immediately head to Automotive Outfitters to have my alignment fixed 💩 They've installed lowering kits, lift kits, track arms, upper and lower control arms, coilovers, power runningboards, wheels and tires... If they sell it, they've probably installed it one of my cars. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a headache and don't pay for the same thing twice. Go see Troy and the gang and you'll leave smiling every time!

Took my truck here to get upper and lower ball joints done and upsold me on the work had some trust that they would do the job correctly and went back to have them fix what they messed up and didn’t even align my truck correctly maxed out the alignment adjusters and now the truck has death wobbles I do not recommend this shop. They say they do good work, but in my experience, they do not. Along with leaving my rim cap loose, My truck left the shop and worst shaped and when I brought it in, it is unsafe to drive now….

Only been once but this place was awesome. Three other places we went either couldn't or wouldn't help us with our tires because we had some weird locking lug nuts. One place stripped them, another tried to charge us hundreds of dollars to do more work than was needed. This team knew what was needed right away, I was in and out in about 30 minutes and got a great deal. Every staff member I spoke to was willing to talk me through the details, answer my questions and were all very kind. I'll be back.

The service provided was satisfactory. However, the excessive 164% markup on retail parts, including shipping costs, necessitates a negative assessment. The $110 cost per ball joint (excluding labor) is unacceptable when the exact same part is $41.60 everywhere else. This practice is considered unethical, and therefore, future patronage and recommendations are not forthcoming. Edit to owners reply: I'm compelled to share my experience and respond to your justification of the 164% markup on parts, claiming it reflects your "expertise and knowledge." First, I must highlight a grave error made by A&M Tire, when they performed an alignment on my truck using stock specifications despite it having a 2.5-inch lift. This oversight directly led to damage of my front tires, showing a clear lack of attention to detail or understanding of vehicle modifications. Regarding the pricing, your attempt to charge $365 for rear brakes, which can be sourced from parts stores for around $200 from the exact same manufacturer, is nothing short of price gouging. Even more concerning, I overlooked an invoice line where you charged $220 for front ball joints, which are available for $86 from the same manufacturer. Your claim that this excessive markup on parts is due to your expertise and knowledge is flawed. Expertise should be reflected in the quality of labor, not in inflating the cost of parts. If your shop truly possesses superior skill, that value should be evident in the labor charges, not hidden behind exorbitant markups on parts, especially when those parts are readily available at a fraction of the cost. This practice is not only unethical but also casts doubt on the integrity of your service. I advise you to reconsider your pricing strategy. Charging fairly for labor based on the expertise provided would be more transparent and would better serve your customers. I hope this feedback prompts you to "Do Better" as you've suggested others should.

Friendly and professional customer service, and quick turnaround time for a big alignment job. As someone who isn’t too car-savvy I appreciated how they answered all my questions and gave me a quote without any pressure or stress. Highly recommend!

**EDIT SEP 2024** As a woman I struggled for many many years trying to find automotive businesses that wouldn't take the fact that I was a woman without automobile knowledge for granted. I've lived in Portland since 2009 and have been repeatedly overcharged and even sometimes scammed to come back by unplugging parts of my car. This is the ONLY place that I will come to purchase tires, get an oil change, get an alignment, or any of the other tune-up necessities. This is due to the way that I have been treated. They are consistent, friendly, and honest. I know when I come here I won't be taken for granted. I once overheard a conversation about a single mother needing tires she couldn't afford. They were able to assist her in a way that she wouldn't have gotten anywhere else. You don't find companies like this anymore. You don't find them wanting to be good to the community and having an honest moral. This isn't a company you want to pass up for someone else here in Portland. They will take care of you, man or woman, and they will make sure you are very happy. This place is fast and affordable! I love the staff here.

Went here for an alignment. The staff was very professional, the office is nice and I felt comfortable letting them work on my truck. They were quick and got me in and out the same day, thank you. I will definitely do business here again.

This was the best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time. I contacted the shop to inquire about possibly purchasing a lift kit, wheels, and tires. Jody worked with me over a period of several weeks to find the perfect setup based on my budget and needs. He offered lots of different options and was patient while I made decisions. I eventually went with a 4” Superlift, Falken tires, and KMC wheels and my Gladiator now looks perfect. And on top of all of that, their prices were better than every other shop I contacted. I will definitely be back when I need any other work and would highly recommend Jody and the crew at Automotive Outfitters.

The team here is awesome. Helped me find out that the certified pre owned vehicle I purchased was in fact not a certified pre owned. After the dealership fixed that, they put a lift and new larger tires in on my Hyundai Ioniq 5. It rides great and looks awesome. Everyone here is super helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back whenever I need anything else done!

Had a great experience here. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Came in for new rims and tires and a winch install on my Tacoma. Jody went over my options with me. Told me what he thought would work and what wouldn't. I'm super glad I took his advice. The truck came out looking amazing on some Fuel rims and Falken tires. The winch looks and works great. I had a little bit of a hiccup with one of the rims after installation but the team here took care of me. I would highly recommend this place. I'll be back when it's time to upgrade my Tacoma again.

So called in to ask about alignment and breaks, was given price and told me come in anytime. My 2022 tacoma was pulling to the right and also breaks pulsated as I applied them, Jodi took care of me and called me to inform me that alignment was all I needed ($149) and my truck drives like new again. It’s hard to trust dealers as they were going to charge me 430 dollars to align and do brakes glad I chose automotive outfitters HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My husband had an appointment this week to get new tires on our Tacoma. While at the initial meeting, he forgot to ask a few questions regarding warranty and asked if I could call Automotive Outfitters today while he was at work. When I called this morning, the man who answered was less than thrilled to give me any information about the tire make and warranty. In fact, he was pretty rude. Because of that interaction, I decided to call Les Shwab to see if they had the same tires available and were willing to give me more information with better customer service. They did tenfold. Better prices and better communication all around. After sharing with my husband the uncomfortable call and lack of information that Automotive Outfitters gave me, we decided to take our business elsewhere. I then called Automotive Outfitters Tire Pros to cancel my appointment, explaining the reason we're going elsewhere. The (same) man who answered said 'ok' and hung up. Didn't ask me what our existing appointment was or apologize for the previous communication - just hung up. Treating customers this way in any sort of occupation is highly inexcusable. Me asking for information in our initial phone call and making the customer less than for doing so is completely uncalled for. But hanging up on someone, especially in a work setting, is petty and unprofessional. So thankful we decided to go somewhere else where they treat their customers with respect.

Automotive Outfitters quickly took care of a warranty issue on my Tacoma's aftermarket SPC upper control arm ball joints. They also dialed in my alignment perfectly after another shop couldn't get it after two tries. SPC UCAs can be tricky, but they got it dead on.

Brought in my '20 Colorado and a lift kit I bought direct from BDS and had the shop install the lift and do the alignment. They did a great job. I plan on bringing the truck back in for future upgrades on down the road. Can absolutely recommend them!

I had my brakes done here 3 times this past year, but had to come back every time because after 2k miles they start to shake again. They can't seem to fix the core issue, but charge me an arm and leg every time I come back to see what the issue is. So here I am, $2000 later, I have no brakes, and will now start looking for another shop. Very disappointed because over the course of my vehicle I've spent $10,000+ at this shop, had lift kit installed, alignment, tires done, even referred few friends, but after this brakes situation I am no longer recommending.

I have tried other shop for alignment, but it didnt fix the problem. I decided to give these guy a try. First attempt, the steering is still crooked to the left. However, when I bring the car back, they fix it perfectly. Now my car is straight like an arrow. Quick, effective. Definitely bring back my car whenever it needs alignment again.

I love this place. Trying to put nicer bigger wheels on my F150. They quickly assessed my needs and put it together safely and for a reasonable price. They are Dog friendly. My dogs get treats. The customer service is outstanding.

Jodi is awesome. Got me in for a free inspection and quote really quick. Gave me a couple options for the parts, and got the repair completed in what I would consider a quick turnaround. Incredibly fair price, knowledgeable and courteous staff. I could tell Jodi really cared about the business and his customers. 5/5. I'm about to take my truck in for some more work, talk soon Jodi!
