Autohaus Merkle cared for my 1998 Mercedes SLK and now my 2016 SL 400. I wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else. The quality of their work is outstanding and they are kind and easy to work with. I highly recommend them!

Update: I had to have my car towed to another repair shop, Euro Motorworks and they were able to quickly identify the problem. They saved me a ton of money and hassle after dealing with AutoHaus Merkle. They found the overheating was caused due to the coolant fan being unplugged (which is intentional tampering with a vehicle). My repair had nothing to do with anything under the hood and I never had an issue with this before AutoHaus Merkle worked on my car. My engine could have blown up or worse over someone else's stupidity. How could a business I just paid $600 to for a window repair, who kept my car for a month, who didn't call me when it was ready, who gave my car back with a tail light out and new sensors illuminated, and after knowingly sabotaging someone's livelihood still be in business? I will be suing for compensatory damages as well as punitive damages. Avoid this place at all cost, it may just save your life. *BEWARE* They charged me twice for a diagnostic fee when they didn't find the problem in the first place. They told me they would call me when my car was finish, but they did not. I had to go in person to check on it after almost a month. When I picked up my car the brake lamp was out, there were 2 random screws on my floor board of which they didn't know what they went to, and the temperature gauge sensor is now coming on. I asked if they would fix the lamp and they said I would need to buy the bulb LOL! I wouldn't be surprised if they intentionally damaged it. Do not deal with these crooks all they care about is $$$.

Great experience! Needed a PPI done quickly on a Mercedes C300. Chose them because of their positive reviews and very fair pricing. They fit me in within a day and took me immediately when I got there as I was waiting on the car. Steve took his time going over his findings with me and explaining everything. Even gave me some help with negotiating. Highly recommend!

These guys are crooks. Trying to tell me that they had to remove the entire engine to change a PCV valve ($5,600). I have the procedure from the dealership and it only takes a couple hrs and $500 in parts from the dealership. Update: called a third dealership and got a another quote for $1,000 to do the PCV valve these clowns tried to charge me to remove the entire engine to do... Do a simple search for w204 PCV valve.. not one mention of the motor being pulled.(Called 3 dealerships) spent countless hours reading . These people should be ashamed of themselves. Who knows how many people they have scammed

I was visiting Indianapolis when my car broke down. They traced the issue back to my local dealership botching a routine replacement of spark plugs after one day. They had my car back up and running in 2 days. Being out of town, it was challenging to get to their shop during their regular hours. They went the extra mile and arranged a way for me to come pick my car up during a time they are usually closed. The price was fair and the service was great.

Dealership quoted me $2600 for new brakes, decided to look elsewhere for a quote. Was quoted for a significantly lower price, ~$1300 for the same service here. I dropped off my vehicle and they gave me a call an hour later saying I don’t need new brakes at all. Honest, straight to the point, they’ll be seeing my business again soon.

I left a five star review four years ago, and they still deserve a five star review today. In the last fifteen years, I've owned seven BMWs and one Audi, and I've had service done at most of the established German auto shops around Indianapolis, and I can confidently say that Autohaus Merkle is the best. They are extremely knowledgeable and love what they do, and it shows in the pride they take with their work and customer service. We will continue to make the hour drive to have them service any of our German cars.

I took my 2000 Mercedes SL500 to Autohaus Merkle to have the top hydraulics serviced and was immediately impressed by their knowledge and professionalism. They knew exactly what needed to be done and gave me what turned out to be an excellent estimate on how long it would take. I had done some online research, via R129 owners groups, etc., about what it might cost, and the price they quoted me was much less than than expected. While they had it I thought of a few other things to have them take a look at and they handled everything efficiently as well.

I took my 2016 Volkswagen Golf into Autohaus for a diagnostic and repair for an intermittent gremlin. The team was so helpful and friendly, and they worked with me to solve the problem. Of course, it took a couple of tries to figure out the source of the issue, but once they had it figured out the repair was done quickly and saved me a lot more in my wallet than I had gone in there expecting I would have to pay. Paul is funny, and works great with customers, and Scott is very friendly and super knowledgeable. I have noticed in my time with Autohaus Merkle that they have a lot of established regulars who choose to bring in their vehicles for routine services and repairs, and that speaks volumes to me as a consumer. I will definitely be bringing my Volkswagen back to Autohaus Merkle.

These gentlemen know their stuff and do their best to take care of your car. My husband has a real BMW addiction! We looked for years for a decent shop that actually knew how to work on BMWs that was fair. We were so thankful to have found them! It’s been well over 5 years of doing business with them and we are always so happy to have them! They are helpful, kind and above all else knowledgeable and honest! Paul and the team at Autohaus Merkle shoot it straight and get it done. As a 1st time Mercedes owner, I am still a little paranoid that every type or repair/service will cost 5X and become a whole ordeal because it's a foreign car brand; Autohaus Merkle pleasantly surprises me every time! In the past, I've gone in for a standard oil change and this time I had a few items services (oil change, low bulb replacement, wiper blade replacement, brake pad replacement). The total price for all of these items was so reasonable my husband and I couldn't believe it! Bonus points to Paul - My husband and I bought the car gently used and the driver seat had a small tear. Over time the tear grew and became a bit of an eyesore, especially compared to otherwise great condition of the car. Paul explained this is a normal issue on Mercedes interiors and explained that they had somone who could completely replace the affected leather and fix the seat. We took him up on this and IT LOOKS SO GREAT! Can't get over it. Will be taking our German cars to Autohaus Merkle as long as we're Indy residents. Love that we now have a service center we know and trust.

Rude employee at the front. Gave me horrible attitude and tone in response to my questions and responses. Also proceeded to give an estimate $800 for an oil change and change in sensor, despite the sensor costing $200. Overall very rude employee that made me feel uncomfortable to ask questions about what was going on with my vehicle. He was belittling to me, a customer that did not know much about cars. I also called to ask if my car was ready for pickup and he proceeded to give me a tone and attitude about how I did not pick up the phone call in the morning, even though I was busy taking an exam. Don't know if he was just having a bad day, I tried to be nice anyways because that's how I was raised, but that experience ruined my days and I will not be going to this company for further work on my vehicle. I would advise to treat your customers with basic human respect even if they do not know much about cars.
