This review is late(stumbled upon the photo and was reminded)but I took my 08 gt500 to Auto Gear to get a MGW shifter installed sometime in May 2024 I believe. The day of the installation the crew was running late & I received a call explaining that it was taking more time than expected. I was told it would cost me more than the original quote I had received. I had agreed to it because I wanted it done correctly. Well after picking the car up & driving it back home I noticed that there was a noise/rattle coming from what I thought was the shifter whenever leaving from 1st or going uphill on my gravel road. I called Auto Gear back & was told to bring in the car whenever I had the chance to. So I took the day off work & went to get my car checked out. After 2 hours of waiting my car was still outside so my father decided he didn’t want to wait any longer & we left. They told me I could come back another day but honestly I did not want to have another 4 hour roundtrip. I was told by one of the employees at Auto Gear that the MGW shifter could be faulty because they had a previous issue with one. Therefore I reached out to MGW & the owner, George, called/texted me to help me figure out what the possible issue could be. I removed my center console & inspected the shifter & it looked properly installed. The shifter was functioning as it should and was not making any weird noises. Well after looking under the car it was very obvious what the problem was. When the shifter was installed, Auto Gear, also removed or lowered the driveshaft to have more room to install the shifter. The problem was that they Completely forgot to install one of the two bolts that hold the center support bearing. So my driveshaft was hanging loose with lots of play. This situation could’ve been very dangerous because the other bolt was also very loose. I rate them 2 stars because of the time/cost it took to complete(realistically should’ve been 2.5 hours & it took double that) & because of the damage a loose driveshaft could have caused.

The people at AutoGear Perfomance auto shop are the most enthusiatic and best people at working on cars. They have the tools, parts shipping, connections, and quality of service that makes them the pinacle of automotive workshops. I'd personally trust them to build a winning endurance race car. They can do nearly everything, and if they cant do it, they will tell you outright, why they cant do it, and point you to someone trustworthy who can. Anything to do with my Toyota 86, or my family's utility vehicles, I come to them. They may not be "the cheapest," but they are certainly not the most expensive, by far. (Just look at dealership rates for example.) And it's better to pay for a job done properly, to spec, than to pay someone else a little less to break it, and then spend more having it done again. If you live here, go here. If you're from far away and looking for someone who can properly handle your performance car, give them a call. The drive will be worth it.

Tee gave us a quote over the phone and we were charged exactly what we were quoted. Not only did they give us the best price in town, but they did it fast. I’ll definitely be bringing my car back if needed and I’ll be recommending others to this shop.

I had bad experiences at a few dealerships and shops. Not here. I have had them work on all three of my vehicles, including an engine replacement that was complicated for a variety of reasons, none of which were AutoGears fault. They got all of my vehicles running with honest assessments, and reasonable prices. In fact, they get a sixth star star⭐️ because they are that much better than the dealerships I’ve been uninformed to use previously.

Hands down the best shop in town. They are quick and very efficient. The prices are very reasonable. I have taken four cars to them, have no complaints. They are honest about their work and will let you know if they can do it. Recently I got my cars lighting fixed. Not only were they able to hook me up, but gave me a set of lights free so everything matched. They are very passionate about their work. I highly highly recommend and suggest people to check them out.

We had them fix our BMW 335i’s serpentine belt. We had no idea why it kept snapping. Took to AutoGear performance to just change the belt for us. But when they removed the belt they noticed that there were shreds of the belt behind the pulleys. They were very honest and transparent about this make and model. They were able to take most of the shreds out, replaced the belt with an OEM belt and found a screw for my power steering. Now my car is back to normal and stress free again! Thank you AutoGear!

Went in to have my rare brakes done. they told me 2 hours. I was there for almost 4 hours and then. The mechanic said I yelled at him.. when I did not.. I'm not even sure if my brakes are done right because. They're spongy.

Don’t go there save your money they will mislead you and bleed you dry on every opportunity and when they are done you will be broke and so will ur car and everyone in the town of Marysville knows that I have several stories including my own of how they have ripped off everyone and blame it on the customer never go here if u love your car you will regret it I’d rather see someone push they’re car off a cliff then to see them roll it into this garage don’t trust them not even for an oil change!

Our car club never goes there either and I remember that guy he cried at the meet he never was able to rev his car too high because it would bury you in smoke🤣 he kept bragging that he got it done at autogear but it was pretty messed up we heard it pinging right after he said they fixed it on Snapchat the next week it was blown up🤣 I saw him later on that week in his Impala he said he called them and they said it was his fault🤣told him he broke it🤣 after getting paid to fix it..he's right mine as well do it yourself 🤣
