Ignore the one star reviews -> He's been incredibly fair, gracious, and clear about what he's been doing to fix my car from start to finish. My exhaust had froze solid leading to a "hissing" under my car that I nor anyone I showed had seen before. He figured out the issue and charged a very reasonable price to fix the issue. I'm from Florida and have worked with some conman mechanics. This guy is NOT one of tbose folks! He's the real deal 👊

Does not tell the truth do not spend your money with this guy he is unprofessional and lies about everything he tells you when he tells you a date and time he's not telling the truth he will make up a new date and time and then not answer his phone he will tell you to text him because he's too scared to answer his phone I recommend not spending any money with this guy I had to call the police just to get my vehicle back because he wouldn't give it back even though he didn't fix anything on it

We had a customers starter go out while visiting family on a Sunday in CB. We called and they went, they saw and they conquered the job. There was never a hesitation, a sigh or any sort of inconvenience from them. They replaced the started where the car sat. DANGER!! DANGER!!! DANGER! SCAMMER!!! This guy charge my 19-year-old daughter $1200 and didn’t fix what was wrong with the car instead took it upon himself to fix what he wanted!! He ripped my daughter off and he sent her off an unsafe vehicle. He did not have her sign anything and he did not warn her what would happen if she drove it knowing she had to drive 3 1/2 hours away!! I demanded a refund because we had to get the vehicle fixed by another mechanic and he denied it. He did, however, pay for his mistakes by paying bill out of guilt Yet that does not make up for my daughter who is now traumatized from driving a vehicle with failed brakes!! We are taking him to court!! I do not recommend this mechanic to anyone who wants a Safe vehicle. I do not recommend that you trust him or his work!!

I drove from near Chicago to Omaha Nebraska, and my vehicle stopped running just as I left the interstate. It had given me some trouble just before that, but in a turning lane at 5:30pm on a Friday... it refused to run. I googled repair shops near me and Authentic Auto Repair was open until 11pm. I called and he agreed to look at it, so I had it taken there on a flat bed recovery truck. He worked on it that evening and had part of it repaired but had to reinstall the main computer software because it had become corrupt. He was able to do that on Sunday and by that night, we were back on the road. His work was great and the price was fair. I would use his services again any time.

This guy has no idea what he’s doing! My 19-year-old daughter gave him a list after she already had an estimate of what needed fixed. He not only fixed what he wanted on the vehicle without contacting anyone or getting any kind of approval, but he only bought one set of brake pads for two tires, and used one half brake pad on each tire !! yet charged for a full set of brake pads and rotors. This guy is not honest. He’s not safe. He not only sent my daughter out with a very unsafe vehicle, but he had not told her what was wrong with the vehicle or what would happen if she drove it! She then left Yet realize the vehicle sounded worse than before… She then took it back to him to check it over again and which he found two loose bolts from his work that he had done and he tightened them up And took off two new parts and replace them again.. however none of that fixed the noise or problem ..He only told her he didn’t know how to fix it or what the noise was knowing she had to drive 3 1/half hours but yet sent her on her way without signing anything or warning her not to drive it. My daughter called me terrified halfway home because her brakes were almost out, and they were scraping because his brake job evidently failed. We had to get her vehicle in a shop and refix it. We took pictures and got statements from the mechanic, and we asked for a refund however Jason denied it. He did however Want to know what our new mechanic said about his work and which he asked me before we had even taken it into another mechanic .. He then wanted to know who was fixing it and how much it was .. He then called them and paid for the work that was done, knowing that he was guilty of ripping off and putting a 19 yr old girls life in danger!!! My daughter took it to him twice and even he told me he looked over and found two loose screws from which he apparently did not tighten properly.. that is a big deal when it has to do with a cars axel and brakes!! loose screws and no brake pads on one side!!!! My daughter spent $1200 for him to fix her car and for it to be safe and he fixed shocks on the car instead of the brakes and charged her $1200 for it knowing he had no permission to do that whatsoever he was supposed to fix what was on the list. So now we Are hiring an attorney and taking him to court. I do not recommend this mechanic!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE THAT NEEDS VEHICLE SERVICING TO CONTACT THIS SHOP! ❤️ The mechanic Jason is a godsend! I am not from the area, and late last night my 2018 Chevrolet Equinox had brake failure and I looked for servicing in the area and Authentic Auto Repair was the only shop still open. So, I gave them a call and he came out and looked at my car where I was at and figured the problem out in moments time! This shop should be everyone's go to! Everything cost me a quarter of the price I thought it was going to as well! $370 flat with parts, labor and towing!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

I was in the area for work and I was having issues with my thermostat on a 2018 Chevy Colorado ZR2. It was stuck open causing a lot of other issues that relied on a properly functioning thermostat. I only had time on the weekend to find a mechanic and get it fixed. Jason definitely came through... I dropped off my vehicle and it was ready the next afternoon. I definitely recommend Authentic Auto repair if you want honest work done and at a reasonable price.

WARINING, WARINING. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN! He will not do the work you ask him to do. He does not communicate with you at all. I asked him to do some work on my 07 f-150. Contacted him around end of March beginning of April 2023. No word from him in May so I had to call to see what was going on and he just took it upon himself to do whatever he wanted to do to my truck. It is now February 2024 and no word from him since I called in May of 2023.

I found authentic auto repair after I had been stranded on highway 2 for 2 days when damn near every shop in a 40 mile radius said they couldn’t fix my van or they just didn’t have time for me Jason got me back on the road the same day I called if not for him I would have spent the weekend sleeping on the streets of Omaha he does tight efficient work and for a third the price of anyone else I found I cannot recommend him enough

I was extremely impressed with Jason. I drove down from Des Moines and flew out of Omaha for work and when I returned my car had a seized shifting cable and wouldn't shift out of neutral to either drive or reverse. Jason helped schedule a very reasonably priced and friendly tow and went to great lengths to make sure every option was exhausted and a solution was found so I was able to drive home, on the 4th of July holiday when the odds were stacked against us as most businesses were closed! It was a nightmare of a 24 hours trying to figure out what I would do in another city with a broken down car and I feel so lucky to have gotten such amazing help. It's unfortunately rare to find an honest mechanic who truly cares, knows what they are doing and is also reasonably priced. Jason absolutely checks all of these boxes. I do a lot of my own repairs and am tough on mechanics, anytime I, or any of my friends or family are in the Omaha area and need help this will be my recommendation for who to call first. Some people really seem to enjoy going to a mechanic that doesn't care about them and tries to screw them over, if that's you then I would recommend going somewhere else. If that's not you I highly recommend giving Authentic a try!

I was having some major vehicle issues in my older car, and I called Jason on Saturday morning on Memorial Day weekend. He took my car in that same morning and fixed everything wrong with my car at a very reasonable price. I've had my car back for over a day now, and it runs great! Thanks Jason.

Took advantage of a girl in desperate need. After being charged $85 to have my car towed like 18 blocks.....I thought I did enough research and found jason, but when it was all said and done I felt extremely taken advantage of. When he came to give me a quote he said the high end would be 500. But that's exactly what he charged me. Which the work he did was very minimal. He did get me 2 brand new tires, I asked how much they were and he flat out lied right to my face.he told me the 2 tires were just over 300 .. ..the next day I looked them up and that's not even possible- no where! Not even online, no one charges any more than 80 a tire for them tires......needless to say he totally ripped me off!!! And didn't bother to look at the broken wires(I have no blinker, low beams or high beams on that side) I pointed out in the very beginning so now I'm going to just do it myself! Why do people think it's ok to treat people(especially a girl) with such disregard??? Thanks for the cheap yet most expensive tires I've ever owned in my life! And if they r brand new shouldn't they have a manufacturers warranty?- u better hope they hold up, cause I really don't want to deal with u again. I just want to point out that ur response doesn't even make sense. I didn't have anyone say anything close to that to me, and my friends do not talk like that but thanks for again treating me as a dumb girl! I looked the tires up myself! and in the very beginning I asked u how much it would cost for an estimate. The simple fact that u didnt even look at the broken wires is enough right there to tell me or any other person that ur not very authentic but more about making ur money. Horrible business attitude. And my text was far from scandalous- just a warning of a bad review, not once did I say anything about a refund, although ur conscience maybe getting the best of u. Just as long as u sleep good at night.....

DO NOT TRUST‼️ My girlfriend had bought a van in the Midwest and was traveling through Omaha. The entire time there was a loud whining noise and I figured it had to be a belt issue. She was getting to Omaha pretty late at night but I found Jason and he was nice enough to say he’d diagnose that night and fix it in the morning. He claimed it was the water pump pulley bearing was what was wrong. Said the belts were completely fine. Next morning after replacing the bearing for $300 the noise was still present. It wasn’t essential for the pulley to be replaced even tho it wasn’t in great shape. He knew she needed to be back in CO for her job. I speak with him on the phone and he says “yeah, the serpentine belt is bad. I just did a test on it so I’ll replace that.” He then calls me ten minutes later to tell me that the ac compressor was in critical condition but the night before he mentioned that the compressor was fine. We got the van out of there straight away and my gf took it to Excellence in auto repair down the road. They confirmed that the ac compressor was completely fine and took care of the serpentine belt. They were completely honest and helpful unlike Jason who is greedy to take from others. I highly recommend you pay an honest mechanic over this guy. Also, his “garage” is shady and it’s not located at the address on google maps.

Jason is the prime example of old school good business. I was in a huge bind when my Triton blew a spark plug 10 hours from my destination. Not only did he handle my situation, he went over and above what was expected and didn’t ask for any extra other than what I was quoted for the repair. It’s Christmas weekend and yet this rare excellent mechanic took time for me. In a timely manner and affordable rate he had me back on the road to my destination. A good Christian man of his word. The world needs more like him. I highly recommend him and his service. Doing business the way it used to be when a hand shake was a deal!

Jason really helped me in a pinch. While travelling from Canada to Kansas, a different sound was heard from the rear end of my vehicle near Council Bluffs, IA, so I stopped at a hotel and Googled “mechanics”. Jason’s name came up first as he was only two blocks away. Much to my surprise, Jason was able to look at vehicle after most other mechanics had closed for the day. Thanks again Jason!!

My car had an issue with the wheel speed sensor system so I took it into Jason's shop. He immediately hooked it up for diagnostics to confirm, and he also found an issue with one of the wheel/axle boots. Gave me a estimated quote and estimated time for work completion all before I left. He got the car fixed up and ready to go THAT SAME DAY. Excellent experience with communications and him in general. He will now be the main shop I go to for any future issues. He services from multiple locations, so make sure to contact him BEFORE arriving.

Charged me $200 just to tell me whats wrong with my car when other places are as low as $75. Also got my car towed. Had it parked infront of a driveway and or on private property. Cost me just about $700 with what he charged me on top of impound fees. Not happy with this situation. Oh and guess what? None of that $700 is going to actually fixing the car. Thanks for nothing guy. You cost me money and nothing got fixed. Hope you're happy you made your money on doing nothing. I will not be recommending you to nobody ever. Doesnt deserve the 1 star. If there was an option for no stars this dude deserves that.

Jason went out of his way to help me last minute when I had car trouble when passing through the Omaha area. My brake lines were rotted through and leaking. I had already put a new master cylinder and brake booster on it. I didn't hook up or bench bleed the master cylinder. He went through it all and now it's good as new. (93 F250)

The blower stopped working on my heater in my van. I called and Jason answered and gave me some prices and after reading the reviews and beings he was close to where I live I said ok. He even picked up my van and brought it back and it ended up costing me a lot less to get it fixed than was quoted because it ended up being a switch or sensor so he was very honest. I will use him again and will sure suggest him if anyone asks if I know of a mechanic.
