I have been taking my 2012 Mercedes GL450 to Al for 2 years before moving to Temple, Tx. last year. In Temple, I went to EuroTech for a service F and a headlight (bulb) replacement; however, after they inspected my vehicle, they said I needed a front brake replacement (pads & rotors) because they were squeaking. All together, they said I would owe $1,562. I was immediately alarmed because everything seemed overpriced. So I then called Christian Brothers and they quoted a price around the same as EuroTech. Christian Brothers didn't physically inspect my car, I just told them what I needed based on what EuroTech had said. I felt like I was being ripped off, so I called Al in Houston and told him the situation. I asked if he could service my car, and he was very flexible with working with my schedule, as I had to drive 3 hours from Temple to Houston after work and needed to arrive at his shop after it closed. Al stayed open later than usual and waited until I arrived. After leaving my car with Al, the next day he called me with great news! He said the people at EuroTech lied about my car needing front brakes, because I had about 1 1/2 years left with my break pads, and the rotor was perfectly fine. So I didn't have to pay for front brakes. I asked for the new total and was surprised because I was expecting to pay more for the remaining services, but he quoted much less. Originally, EuroTech told me that the headlight (bulb) replacement would have been $325. So I asked why there was such a big difference in the price, and he said the bulb that needed to be changed was the led bulb; however, EuroTech quoted me a price for the halo light, not the led light that was only about $8!? I have always valued Al's workmanship and professionalism, but he has also shown consistent honesty and genuine care about the safety of my car and the quality of his service. He has saved me so much money over the years. I am so appreciative of the services that he gives, as he doesn't just tell you that your parts have been replaced, he also sends you videos of the old and the new parts, teaching you the functional purpose of each part and why they needed to be replaced. I drove 3 hours for him to service my car, but there are others who drive greater distances. I refuse to take my car anywhere else. Al is truly a gem.

Come see Al I found Al through his reviews on Google and they lived up to the hype! I have a 2017 Volvo XC90 T5Rdesign and my car would "stutter " (but no lights or indicators) after rising to 2rpm. He was very thorough with diagnostics and sent a video for everything he was doing. He kept me abreast so I didn't have to look for him, he was either texting or calling me. I appreciate the time he took with my second biggest asset. He didn't quote anything until he had a full picture of what was wrong. No up selling nor unnecessary purchases. Al is now my cars new doctor!! Thanks and I'll see you soon on my next due maintenance. ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️

I want to thank Al for not only being very transparent with pricing but informative through the entire process. We took my son’s 2010 VW Passat after it left him stranded here in Houston during a visit from Austin. I felt comfortable talking with Al from the start. He was thorough and extremely detailed explaining what was wrong with the vehicle. After the original diagnose of many factors that needed attention and possibly needing to replace the engine or rebuilding, he was able to take his knowledge and experience to help our family and repair everything for such a reasonable price. I will always come to Aurora Automotive and will recommend everyone and anyone to Al. You will not be disappointed. I have never dealt with such an honest, friendly, and knowledgable technician as I did with Al. His shop is extremely clean which says a-lot on how he works. Mr. Al and Aurora Automotive are absolutely AMAZING! I brought my 2012 Audi Q5 in for some diagnostic work after just having it for 3 weeks. I had previously gone back and forth with others about what was wrong with my vehicle. I found Aurora by googling Audi Certified Repair Centers after my car was refused by the dealership. That's another story for another time. Mr. Al was VERY thorough and knowledgeable while diagnosing my car. He literally sent me a video of everything he found whether good or bad while he had it in his possession. He ran diagnostic tests, test drove, uncovered things that any other mechanic may have overlooked. I could go on and on about how absolutely pleased I am with the service I received. Don't look any further for a mechanic. Mr. Al is IT!!! No matter the make or model...he is my FOREVER mechanic and friend!

Let me first say that Al is amazing! I have a 2018 Infiniti Q50. This past Saturday my car overheated on the highway and had me stuck. I had it towed to Al’s shop and he was already closed but early Sunday morning he got down to business. Turns out my drive belt broke, a couple pulleys were messed up my battery was drained and the antifreeze exploded all over my engine I think due to too much pressure. Al sent me videos every step of the way and also called to make sure I understood what I was looking at. I’ve never experienced that before. He’s definitely knowledgeable and will tell you the truth about what is needed. He didn’t cut corners. I was super nervous but the whole process was smooth. There is a reason he has 5 stars. I will be taking my car here in the future and will recommend him to anyone in need. Thanks again Al!

Al and his team are the best in the industry when it comes to their knowledge of vehicles, especially foreign cars. Very professional, honest and thorough, they will keep you updated every step of the way. Not only did they repair my vehicle, but they held my hand and guided me through filing a supplemental insurance claim after some repairs were a cause of an accident I was involved in, a year prior. Don't think twice about giving them your business!

I just bought a 2023 RX350 hybrid Lexus and was getting it delivered. The car was dead and could not be removed from the multi-car carrier. Even a Lexus dealership could not get diagnose what was wrong and why the car would not go in neutral. They replaced the battery but gave up. The only choice I had was to call a tow and forcibly remove the car, risking a transmission damage. Luckily, the tow truck owner Mr Hisham referred me to Mr Ali of Aurora Auto Repair and said if he can help get the car off without damage, I will pay a fee otherwise it a minimal cost. After nearly 4.5 hours of trying and using multiple resources, mr Ali was able to get enough power to the car into neutral and then gently offload it from the truck by using another car to pull it out. He battled rain, darkness, and most importantly a tiny space to enter the car as the car carrier’s frame was blocking the door entrance. I was relieved that the car was not damaged and the carrier was on his way after a 11 hour delay and Lexus dealership was of no real help. It was Mr Ali and his partner who relentlessly worked towards a solution and got me on my way. Mr. Ali also identified the key issue which was a busted fuse that had made the systems non-functional and suggested that I go to dealer and get it fixed under warranty instead of him charging me for it. I am eternally grateful.

I have so many great things to say about Al and the team at Aurora Automotive! They are knowledgeable, thorough, and very courteous. From the moment my Audi A7 arrived, they paid close attention to detail and kept me informed on each step of the repair. This shop uses the best equipment to perform extensive diagnostics before recommending a repair. I have full confidence in their expertise and integrity, and my experience at Aurora was much better than the one I had at the Audi dealership! Audi had given an overpriced and incorrect repair estimate, and it would have cost me thousands of dollars more. Aurora saved the day!

NEVER in car history have I ever been happy to pay for service on my vehicle & NEVER have I ever OFFERED A TIP😅 Mr. Al deserves a 10 ⭐️ I was skeptical about all the 5 star reviews but here I am lol. He was so knowledgeable, detailed, and informative about my Mercedes GLC300. Yes he sends videos & reports even if you stick around while he performs the service. I know what you’re thinking, all 5 start reviews, is this a scam?! The answer is No! The guys at Aurora are really that good. They will take the time to explain everything they find causing the problem, send you photos and videos of the problem or parts that are bad, and consult with you on different pricing options to fix it. They also won’t try to sell you on a bunch of other stuff you don’t need like dealerships and crooks do. I highly recommend giving them your business.

I went to another shop and had service done on my car and it was horrible to the point where it would have costed me more to repair but once I brought my car to aurora it was done in a proper fashion and cost me way less and he worked me through out the whole process

My 2004 Cadillac CTS was having AC trouble, not cooling the car inside and overheating, Al the mechanic at Aurora on Dairy-Ashford & Brant Rock in Houston. Did the diagnostic on my car and sent me video during the stages of repair and I approved the work to be done. The mechanics here are very good and I recommend 👌 them very highly. They will be my mechanics of choice to work on my 20 years old CTS from now on. A very satisfied customer.

I'm from out of town and when my car lost all its oil, Car Shield sent it to Aurora to determine the cause and make repairs. Al (who i assume is the owner) discovered the oil filter had been improperly installed by the quick lube and determined that the motor luckily shut down before it ate itself. He was able to safely diagnose the condition of the motor, refill with oil and new filter and get it running again at a minimal cost to me. He also worked very well with Car Shield to diagnose a couple other repairs and started the claim process with them so I can get the repairs completed at a shop in my own town. Al also provided me with great pictures, video and documentation of the oil filter issue that have made the claims process relatively painless with the quick lube back home that made the near catastrophic mistake. A great place with honest and straightforward communication that does business with integrity.

If you are a woman and you have a hard time with trusting mechanics come here. He is trustworthy. Every step of the way he is informing you what is going on with your car sometimes if he has time he shows you the process aswell. He shows video proof that he has changed car parts and he is kind. He gives you many options on what you could do to fix the car. Just be warned he does not take outside parts, and bring debit or cash.

Went in today for a vehicle inspection as my engine light has been bothering me. Al took his time explaining the issues with my car and provided me with alternative options. He was extremely respectful of our budget and did not pressure us into anything. We’ll be coming back for sure, this man provides service you can trust.
