Arbor auto works was trusted to install an alternator a couple of months ago on my Honda odyssey and i have had to tow this car 3 times due to their faulty work. The 1st time the cables were loose on the battery and NOW I am told the alternator was installed incorrectly that one of the belts busted and left us stranded !! Do not trust these guys

Arbor Autoworks: A Trustworthy and Professional Choice During our road trip from McAllen, TX to Wyoming, our truck’s A/C unexpectedly malfunctioned. We found Arbor Autoworks in Austin and decided to give them a try. Ryan, who answered our call, was both friendly and professional. Despite our late arrival, they accommodated us promptly. Ryan’s co-worker diligently diagnosed the issue, discovering that the A/C pressure switch had detached. They fixed it efficiently and even checked the oil levels for our long journey ahead. I was traveling to Austin, TX to get my new CAC card and my car started overheating at 3pm. I looked for the nearest auto shop and came across Arbor Autoworks. They brought my vehicle into the bay and worked on it immediately. I had no appointment and was very desperate as I don't live in Austin. They were able to fix the problem and allowed me to make it home safely. I can't recommend this place enough. I am truly grateful for what they did for me.

They worked quickly to have my car finish before the weekend. They didn’t force any unnecessary things on me when they could have. I will be returning to them in the future to get some other things fixed as well. Highly recommend!!! ❤️

Absolutely stellar service from the first phone call to the car being finished. Will definitely be using them again! My car had an electrical issue which they diagnosed, ordered the part for, and installed all in the same day. Fast communication and the sign-off paperwork was done by mobile text / web app (saved a ton of time.) Definitely go here, you will get great service.

First time customer who did not have a good experience. They conducted an inspection of my A/C system, which included a pressure test. They identified the problem as being the compressor. While switching out the compressor they put in a new o ring kit and Schrader valves and evacuated and recharged the system. I had only driven the car since the repair was done a few times for short periods of time. Within a week I noticed it was no longer getting cold air. So I took the vehicle back to the shop and upon further inspection was told I now had a leak in the A/C evaporator. This would be another $1K+ estimate for a problem that they should have found in the first inspection. Was it bad luck or bad workmanship? You decide.

Haven't had work done here and probably can't because my vehicle is too tall to fit in the bay, but I had a good experience here. I foolishly ran out of gas a quarter mile up the road. I knew there was a Shell station just down the road on Burnet so I started walking that way knowing I could buy a gas container there. This place was along the way, so I stopped in for the first time, explained the situation and they happily allowed me to borrow a 2 gallon gas container. Matt and Winn were friendly throughout the entire experience.

Horrible experience! They didn't fix or repair the problem, caused another problem with the suv and then assaulted me when I asked for a refund for who paid for it and a receipt stating exactly what they did. I never got either.

This week it’s going to be 105°! Originally had my engine splash shield tearing off which they fixed with ease and haven’t had an issue yet. Also had them inspect my A/C and thought it was the compressor came back some months later to get it replaced and it turns out the entire A/C system needed replaced, yikes I know… But seeing the temperature forecast this week I can’t help but feel grateful that my A/C runs better than the original, and I can sit in the scorching Texas and complain about the coldness while sitting in traffic, thank you Arbor Auto, y’all are life savers!

Brought my truck and explained what the troubles were specifically. They had my truck for five hours and then when I returned told me exactly what I had explained when I dropped it off. They charged me about $140 to tell me what I already knew and didn’t event fix a thing. Then told me that I could return to spend an additional $330 on the repairs. They could have called any autozone to deliver the simple parts that needed to be installed. Thanks but no thanks.

Winn, Matt and Casen treated me with kindness, courtesy and, very importantly, gave me a professional breakdown of what needed to be done and the labor and parts costs. On my current income, this is very important to get needed maintenance done as I can afford it. When my car kept failing, and battery kept draining, they found out what was happening. Matt responded to my despair about possibly losing this car with a positive attitude and outlook. That lifted my spirits so I could get back to work. I am amazed the team tracked down a loose connection and short that was parasitic of electricity. Thank God!! A very valuable part of working with them too, is the ability to be resilient with what one has to work with and arrange a plan to get what needs to be done, done! Thank you so much for your service.
