Used to get all my car work done in PA but had been searching for a good shop in Phillipsburg and stumbled upon this place and I am very glad I did! Have gone there a couple of times now to get a new battery, breaks done, rack replaced, etc. and all of the work done had been greatly done. The work had been done in even more than a timely fashion. John's communication had been wonderful as he kept me updated throughout the entire process with my car (and in a way that I understand as I am no car person, I just drive it- lol). He had been very transparent about what my car needed at this time as well as potential future fixes. I had nothing but a positive experience and plan to stay in contact for any future needs. I called this place at 4:30 on June 6th inquiring about getting an estimate for new struts. I was quoted at a fair price, half of what my cars dealership was estimating me at. I dropped the car off the next morning, and had it back and fixed by noon June 7th. The service was terrific, everyone was friendly, and the car is running great. I would highly suggest Angel Car Care for any auto repair needs.

I did not get service done though them because when I called, the first question I got was, "is this a sales call". I was a bit caught off guard, and said no, I am calling to ask if you work on Toyotas. He said "you don't have a local (908) number". I asked if I needed one to get work done through him. Like I am the only one that ever moved into the area from out of state that did not change my number to a local 908 number. I told his he should less judgmental about the numbers calling him. Suffice to say, I never went there because of that 1 phone interaction, turned me off immediately.

Came 2 hours from Delaware in need of a mechanic to give a 2004 Crossfire a pre purchase inspection. John was able to itemize the 6 or 7 concerns without offending the seller. Very professional and affordable.

My car died, and I had an idea of what was wrong -- John took my ideas into account and then proceeded to rapidly confirm the diagnosis. In about 24 hours John and his team installed a new alternator and my car had a new life. Held my car for 5 months and didnt repair. Never returned multiple voice messages. Vehiicle deteriorated outside his establishment over the fall and winter. I could only get him to pickup my calls by calling from a different phone and then he asked for more time apologetically. Even after saying I was coming to pickup my vehicle the next day, he was unprepared. Car was disassembled and I needed to wait a long time. He said they didn't have time to get to it even though I notified in advance I'd be coming, Battery was long dead sitting in his lot. When taking it home, oil burning odor was overwhelming. He obviously didnt check valve covers and car had major leak. My car was in a worse condition then when it was brought there. Terrible experience with so called vehicle repair. He said they "dropped the ball" on my car. Apologetic but 5 months of frustration from someone who said originally he knew my car. Ted

I highly recommend you bring your car to Angel Auto Care in Phillipsburg, NJ. John has helped me out a lot when it comes to my cars. My 02 VW Jetta, a lemon if I ever did see one, broke down on 78. John towed my car for me. Thankfully, I was on my way to see John because I was going to purchase a Toyota Camry. John was performing a pre-purchase inspection on the car. The results came back and I decided to purchase the car. I made my decision confidently because I knew any potential risks and knew it would be a reliable car. Thanks to John, I was able to use the inspection results to my advantage in the bargaining process for the purchase of the car. John has helped me with many other car related issues. But John’s expertise in mechanics is not his only strength, he is honest, affordable and considerate. If you’re questioning where to take your car for servicing, don’t. John and Vlad did a great job on my car. John asked me to stop by the same day I called. He took a look at my car and immediately told me where an oil leak was coming from and also ordered me a new exhaust system that was getting noisy. The next day my car was repaired and am completely satisfied with the work.They also went the extra mile and attached my front license plate for me that I had in the front windshield because my license plate bracket was damaged. John is a really nice guy and knows his stuff. He also called a few days later to check and see if everything was going ok with the car. Who does that anymore? I highly recommend.

I had an issue on the way to work. I called Angel Auto Care to see if they could look at it. John said to bring it right in. He test drove it and looked over everything in detail all free of charge. He found a concerning problem and he recommended a place that could repair it. Thank you John!

They are always honest reliable and up front about what my car needs or doesn't need. 5 other mechanics told me my smoking car was fine. These guys found the problem within 10 minutes. They know their stuff.
