Took my van in and paid for an alignment, came out the same way. They told me that's how front wheel drive vehicles are, they just veer off when accelerating, and its normal. Still veers to the right quickly on hwy and have to pull the wheel other way. Not sure if they even did anything to it but hold it for 4 days and charge me 300+ . Also they have attitude like they are bothered you are asking them questions while you are there giving them your money. Maybe it was just a bad day, the other reviews seemed to be promising. Mechanics......

Recently purchased a used Subaru and had the CVT transmission service done since It had not been done by the previous owner. Set my appointment and in and out within a hour or so. Great price and great service. Saved a few hundred compared to taking it to a dealership and trust these guys from what I can see. I’ll take a vehicle to an independent any day before going to a dealership. Clean lounge area with nice accommodations while you wait. My new go to for my services on my Subaru.

Should have added this a long time ago. My daughter has been taking her Honda to AAI for years. We had a badly damaged third generation 4runner they did a miracle on and got it back on the road. That vehicle is owned by my son now and runs like a top. We just recently purchased our daughter a RX350 and AAI will be doing on the services on that vehicle going forward.

Super hard to find a nice and honest shop, this is definitely the place to take your Japanese car. My 2003 Tundra with nearly 300k miles needed a new timing belt. Got that done in one visit and got a diagnosis and quote for a rear differential replacement. I took it somewhere else to get a second opinion and they came up with the same diagnosis but for $2,000 more than what I was quoted here. It was a no brainer and I came back a few weeks later. My 21 year old truck runs like new. I’ll be coming here from here on out. Everyone was pleasant to deal with and these guys are experts of their craft. They won’t try to upsell you for crap you don’t need.

Took my 2014 Nissan in for an AC repair recently. New condenser and a system charge. Bottom line…in ten years, this car has never had AC this cold. Nicely done at a very fair price. Thanks for being honest. That’s how you earn my business!

AVOID! Mediocre service; and a waste of $$$ Today, June 4,2024, again I returned to "fix" the same issue with the AC (charging me $324 on top of what they already charged for the work that was never done right and after repeated "repairs" - initially they installed a new compressor and refrigerant (which now I am doubting that it was really necessary) but the AC was still not functioning properly...blowing hot air. The first time and second time I reported the problem, I was told the technicians didn't put the right ratio of refrigerant and oil mixture; then the same thing happened again and again... the last time I returned I was told that I have to wait until summer when it's hot outside so they can "fix" the problem!? That seemed strange but I did what they said and today (June 4th a hot Summer day at 95 degrees weather forecast, I have returned. They called 3 hours after I dropped off the car at their shop to inform me that they "discovered a leak" and needed o-rings at a cost of $324 to repair. It's apparent that they never did a competent job when they replaced the compressor the first time. The first time I went there was June 2023 and today is June 2024. The AC was not functioning properly since this issue happened (since it was not needed in the cooler weather days, I didn't have an urgent need for it and was never turned on. But now it is summer and Texas summers are brutal and air conditioning is not a luxury but vital necessity.) Mediocre service AC: returned 5-6 times already (Uber+stay)ea time

I've been using All About Imports for about 2.5 years. Most honest mechanics I've ever worked woth. I appreciate that they are upfront when you don't need a particular service.

I always jinx myself but I've been going to these guys for 4 years now. Never had any problems with them .. my motto is that finding a good mechanic is like finding a good barber you never let them go. Good mechanics are very difficult to come by

Drop off my car in this location for replace a part. Explain to guy that I have no car but the answer was sorry we are so busy! Even don't give me any estimate. My work done by end of their closing time and no explain about part and labor cost.

I had an extremely pleasant experience. Dropped my car off after closing using their key drop system, picked up the next day just before 5. They did a front break job, oil change and air filter replacements. I mostly dealt with Matt, he was super nice and communicative and called me with an estimate in the morning prior to service. Very affordable service and very high quality. I couldn’t be happier and I would recommend to anyone with an import!!

I've been going here for years... Jason, Matt, David, everyone here are quite amazing at what they do with the knowledge to boot. More than fair prices and good customer support goes a LONG way, and they SURPASS that mark every time. If you have a Japanese import, do NOT pass this place up for your mechanical needs.

Dropped my car off with the transmission showing signs of struggle. No check engine light. It was drivable for the most part and only jerked here and there when shifting into drive. I was called within a few hours and told “the fluid was dirty” and it needed a flush. He recommended a “double-flush” of some kind and said it “should take care of the problem”. I was charged $224 and got my car back same day. Immediately at pickup, the showed the symptoms again but it was due to be in a body shop and I was in rental for 3weeks. Once I got my car back, I drove it for two days with symptoms progressively getting worse and the vehicle almost disabled about an hour from home. It is now in another transmission shop with BURNT FLUID, not dirty! Theres a possibility that the wrong fluid was used and made it burn up quicker! WTF… the biggest problem is All About Imports wasted my money and time and possibly created further damage to my vehicle. Also put myself, my kids and ride customers at risk for breakdown or worse. Now I’m looking at major repairs or a rebuild putting this single mom unable to get her kids to sports this summer and unable to get to work. You were charging me a $100 to diagnose, not check the fluid and say that’s it! You clearly didn’t drive it nor diagnose it. Edit post reply: the service should not have been performed is the consensus on all profession parties involved. High mileage fluid changes are known expedite the failure of the transmission. The car was bought with high mileage & not serviced in my time of owning. This place was NEGLIGENT & regardless of one’s history, being intentionally irresponsible is a choice & a legal situation.

I love love loveee this place so much!!! They always take insanely good care of my miata, they are so nice and always so quick! Everyone there is just so awesome!! I’m so happy I’ve found a place that specializes in imports because i’ve had really bad experiences in the past with other mechanics.

I sincerely wish I would have had an experience similar to what you're seeing in these comments. Unfortunately, my experience could not have been more different. I was referred here by a friend who had basic services done, and after looking at the reviews I thought I had finally found a trustworthy bunch of people. The team here absolutely scammed me for close to $3000, and they would have kept going if I let them. They recommended work that did not need to be done. They lied about the condition of parts, insisted things were vitally wrong, when they were perfectly fine, and after the large bill and the long wait the vehicle was returned with the exact same issues. I ended up researching the problem and fixing the issue with a total of $60 and 1.5 hours of labor in my own garage. I was scammed this badly with mild mechanical experience. I can only imagine what they have done to others.

Last Monday I called AAI to ask if they could order and install two window regulators in my '03 Miata. Matt ordered the parts and we agreed I would drop the car off this morning at 8 am. Two hours later, Matt called me to let me know the car was "buttoned up and ready to go" and did not need new regulators. They simply cleaned things up a bit and made a few adjustments to the old regs. Matt, thanks for your honesty and professionalism. I'll be back with the other two cars very soon. Came back today with the Lexus and Tacoma for an oil change. We were in and out very quickly and at a reasonable rate. Thanks Matt
