Referred my Cuzzin to him and he installed a bad engine on the vehicle and wrong size has two different size engines that can come with the Honda pilot and he put the smaller one in as well do not recommend no compensation for his wrong doing said engine had 3 month warranty and engine went bad right after 3 months with little to no driving have evidence on new engine being put in by a different mechanic and photos

I had been in the auto repair business for 30 years but switched careers in 2004. I still did most of my own repairs and maintenance. I acquired a used Lexis ES 350 for my wife to drive. The AC system started cooling intermittently and we took it to a this shop for diagnostics about 10 A.M.. The shop called us back about 30 minutes to a hour later and said we needed an expansion valve replacement which would require removal of the dash and of course removal and replacement of the Freon. They quoted a price of $1500.00 and I gave them the ok to do the repairs. ( I did not want to disassemble the dash as it would take me at least 2 days and I did not have a vacuum pump for replacement of the Freon)I am 67 years old and I avoid on my back under dash work if possible.They called us to tell us the car was ready at about 4:30 P.M. and I was surprised they did it so fast. We picked up the vehicle, paid the $1500.00 and received a list of another $3500.00 worth of repairs the vehicle required. (according to them). When we got the vehicle home I started looking at the dash and could tell it had not been removed. I then looked under the hood and spotted the expansion valve on the firewall. I could not tell if it had been replaced or not. Few days later the shop called me to schedule the additional $3500.00 of additional repairs I told them that I would never take my vehicle to their shop again. Then they asked me why I told them that they lied to me and charged me twice the national average for the replacement of the expansion valve. This happened because I was too lazy to do a more through check of the vehicle myself and do more research on the suggested repair. A month later the vehicle was exhibiting the same AC system malfunction as before the repairs and I added some Freon to the system an cured the problem temporarily. The problem ended up being an evaporator core leak which did require the dash to be removed for proper repair. STAY AWAY FROM THEM PLEASE.
