A Mechanic Who Deserves a Medal (or at Least a Vacation!) If saints worked on cars, their name would be Alex. I brought him the automotive equivalent of a problem child—a Hummer that should have come with a therapist and a priest. Sold to me by a shady car dealer with the morals of a raccoon in a garbage can, this thing had more issues than a soap opera. But Alex? Oh, Alex took one look at my poor, suffering vehicle and said, “Challenge accepted.” He swapped out the engine and transmission like a surgeon performing a heart transplant, all while treating me like long-lost family. He found other issues that needed repair, and man I felt like I was screwed. Every time I panicked (which was often), he reassured me that my mechanical disaster would soon be roadworthy. And let’s talk about his amazing wife! She made sure I wasn’t stranded, chauffeuring me to my home like I was some kind of VIP. Thanks to them, my inconveniences were merely mild annoyances. I took my Toyota pickup to get head gasket replaced and timing belt. I was excited to get it fix but after giving him like 4 plus months to do it, i gave up. I would have to call to get an update, he said i give up on this vehicle. The truck turns on only when maf is not connected. He said that he had other mechanics look at it, all three where certified Toyota mechanics. He told me that if they didn't figured it out that mostly likely no one would. Had to tow my truck away after paying $2600 for a non working repair. I wanted to have a good experience with the shop. Nice gentleman but disappointed with repairs. When i went in he said those trucks are easy to work on but afterward he change to this trucks are tricky because everything is old and anything can crack. So he said good luck to you. I hope this is not a normal thing for this shop.

Yesterday I took my vehicle to Alex, needed Shocks and Tie rods. Alex and his team as always had me back on the road in no time. I don’t know why I didn’t get it done sooner. Thanks again Alex I’ll be back and let my friends and family know this is a fantastic establishment.

The absolute best and honest mechanic I've ever met. After my grandson was told by 3 previous shops that his 2010 Dodge Charger would need to have the engine replaced because of the high mileage, I found Mr. Alex through Google search. The car wouldn't start. Mr. Alex diagnosed the problem, made the repairs, and had the car running in 1 day! He was very truthful and explained everything to us upfront. He didn't try to overcharge or do anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. He is my new mechanic and I will refer others to use him as well. Thanks Mr. Alex.

Life can be challenging when you are a 76 years-old woman with car trouble. My ABS light kept coming on. I thought it was because we had a cold spell, and I needed air in my tires. The tire company checked the air and said it was a tricky sensor. I took it to my regular mechanic to get a check-up and inspection. He reassured me is was just a faulty sensor and that I would likely not have any problems on the road during my upcoming vacation. But, he advised that I needed spark plugs and an engine flush. Knowing that a 3000-mile trip was ahead of me with two precious passengers: my grandson and a friend undergoing cancer treatments, I didn't trust my car on the road. My daughter told me to go to Alex Engine Transmission, her trusted mechanic. Following her advice, I was immediately set to ease by his professionalism, thorough knowledge, and mechanical expertise regarding all sorts of makes and models of cars including my 2013 Kia. Not only did he uncover the ABS problem, but he also removed and replaced my spark plugs, wheel speed ABS sensor, and harness and replaced my bearings for a reasonable price in an unbelievably fast turn-around time so I could get on the road. He said it was good that I got the work done because it was possible that my wheels would have locked up and I wouldn't be able to go anywhere. I recommend Alex with 100% conviction to anyone who needs their auto repaired at a reasonable rate.

After doing much research I found Alex through his great reviews I immediately called him and he greeted me with grace and was very helpful before I even brought my truck up to his shop. Alex gave me some advice to preserve my truck before making a decision on what I wanted to do. Alex even recommended me a tow truck company to get my truck towed to his shop. Alex and his staff did great work and were very fast and honest during the whole process. Alex took pictures and kept me involved throughout the process. Alex put me in a whole new engine, water pump, radiator and it literally took about two days. Alex and his lovely wife has a great business and I highly recommend them I want thank you guys for all the great work you’ve done and my truck feels brand new.

Alex did a very thorough pre purchase inspection for me and verified my concerns. He went above and beyond to help me select the right truck even after he was paid. He’s out of my way but now that I’ve got a good truck I’ll be trailering over one of my cars for him to work on. Wish he was up in Montgomery!

Found Alex by doing a simple google search, I was in search of an honest mechanic. Someone with great communication, people skills and all-around great customer service! I got all of that & more choosing Alex E&T. I had engine and transmission problems LOL and he was quick, honest, straight to the point. My car was not there very long at all, this was not a decision I made in one day. It took me weeks to finally get it over to him and I think that is one of the best decisions I have made with my car in a while. His wife was equally amazing, very sweet and kind, she did assist me getting to the bank and also picking me up when my car was done. I want to give a big Thank you to Alex and his team because I'm rolling again!!!!!!

Alex, Is a very trust worthy mechanic and honest business to service your vehicle. He recently serviced my 2008 Hummer H3 with a new engine installation. The first engine that he brought in was a 2009 with 75,000 miles but it didn’t work because the sensors and a few other things did not match up, and with that being said it was pulled and I wasn’t charged for the engine exchange. Alex, kept me informed every step of the way while searching for a new engine. The next engine that was located and only had 60,000 miles on it and it was installed later that same week. He kept my truck for a few extra days just to make sure that everything was in good working order before I came to pick up my truck. We test drove it together and it turned out to be the best decision that I’ve made. Thank you, Mr. Alex.

I would like to thank Mr. Alex for his honesty, integrity, and the excellent service he provided to me recently. After being scammed by another repair shop (which cost me thousands of dollars), Mr. Alex recommended that my engine be replaced. He was able to find a good used engine with a one-year warranty. He quoted me a fair price before the work was completed. Remarkably, he was able to replace the engine in two days, and the final price was exactly what he previously quoted. There were no extra additional costs like many repair shops tend to add, in order to increase their profit. Although I live in New Orleans, I was able to trust him to complete the proper work on my son's 2011 Hyundai Sonata. As long as my son lives in Houston, he will never go to another auto repair shop! If u want to get your car fix right , Then Do NOT go here they literally have no knowledge, I went there the guy act like he was certified… now he acts like I never visit..he deadass tells me I need to new transmission so he can take mines and sell me a cheap old one .. he didn’t know what he was doing and if u want 5 star service this is not the place

Mr. Alex and his whole shop are a great group of people. Not only that. They have great customer service and keeps updated information on your vehicle and keeps his word. Mr. Alex was so professional and honest thru the entire repair of my car. My vehicle needed repair because I had metal flakes in my oil. He replaced my entire engine was very transparent and kept me informed through the entire process and got. Him and his family are so welcoming and friendly they were a true blessing to me during this holiday season. Me being a female with little to no knowledge about cars he was super informative. I am originally from Alabama and I have had many encounters with mechanics in Texas but Alex's business is top tier. Quality work and parts, great pricing. 100/100 I recommend him for any of your auto repair repair services.
