Albemarle Auto Glass made a stressful day less stressful. Heading into work yesterday I got the not so pleasant surprise of a rock flying into my windshield. I searched all over looking for options to get this repaired, and I was met with no availability to schedule the repair within 24 hours. I was concerned the cracks would travel resulting in me having to get a total replacement. I couldn't ask for a smoother customer service experience. Ethan the tech was very responsive and flexible with my schedule. When he arrived he walked me through the steps of what he was going to do, and also gave me a time frame for completion. I can't recommend Ethan and Albemarle Auto Glass enough. They eased the stress on my wallet and on my day, and I am happy with the results.

On a Sunday after the crack in my windshield grew another foot, I requested quotes from every windshield company in Charlottesville. Albemarle Glass was the only one to respond on Sunday. Since I had it replaced just over a year ago from another company in Charlottesville, I was shocked that the estimate was almost half of the price. We set a date, they showed up on time and I have to say, the 2 men, Beau and Tanner were so friendly, professional, and just good people I was amazed. They worked with confidence in a timely manner while answering every question I asked. In this world that seems to be just a little shaky, it renewed my faith in real people. Albemarle Auto glass was GREAT! They came out the next day, did it fast and thorough (probably cleaned up the glass better than I would have), and were a good price, if I ever need auto glass replaced again (hopefully not) I will definitely call them first. I also need to mention, 2 weeks later I was driving and rolled the window down and back up and thought I heard whistling (air coming in) Beau came out that day and figured out it was just the plastic gasket and got it sorted right away! GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!!

They do pretty good work but the administration aspect of the company is a train wreck. They did a job for me and said that we were squared away. Then called me 4 months later demanding money. Like I said they do good work but just beware of Bo. He's a bit of a loose cannon.

I needed my windshield replaced to pass inspection and decided to give Albemarle Auto Glass a try, based on all the positive feedback below. Beau Ryan arrived at my house just prior to the appointment time, worked steadily and efficiently, and was done in no time. The new glass looks great!! Through out our interactions, Beau was both friendly and knowledgeable. I will note three things here. First, if you get it done at home you'll have to pay by check or cash; they can't run a credit card in that setting. Second, when you call Albemarle Auto Glass, their calls are routed to a call center elsewhere. I made an initial call on a Friday and left my information with the operator, but didn't hear anything back for several days. I called back on a Tuesday, left my information again, and Beau Ryan called me back later that day. So, I got through to schedule the service, but it did take a couple of tries to do it. Third, have your VIN number handy when you call them; they will ask for it. You can find it on your car registration.

Polite family owned business. It’s the reason we went with them. Aftermarket windshield was used and is stated will be used unless other arrangements are made with the business and that’s totally fine. I think we wish we had known that the aftermarket windshield had an extra inch of black molding around the edge, which was not on the original windshield, creating a slight blind spot. Besides the windshield itself, we are unhappy about the way our vehicle was left after the replacement had taken place. Debris and splinters of glass were left in the vehicle and on the dashboard, ironically after we had just cleaned it. I called the office and told them that on their return visit to fix the seal of the windshield, we would like the debris and splinters cleaned up and was told that it would definitely be done. I’m disappointed to say it wasn’t done and we’ll need to do the cleanup ourselves. Given the difference in windshield, issues with the seal after the replacement was done and the lack of care in clean-up, I don’t think we’d be returning customers.

This place is amazing for all your auto glass needs! My car was broken into back in March in my apartments parking garage. After calling many auto glass companies, Albemarle Auto was the only one who would come out to my apartments garage and replace the glass. I have unfortunately forgotten their names but the two guys who came to fix it were very very nice and quick. And the prices are very reasonable! Thank you again for a delightful experience in the midst of a tough time.

My car was broken into at Ragged Mountain Reservoir a couple weeks back (users beware!) and I went looking for someone to replace the window that was busted out. Albemarle Auto Glass was $80 cheaper than Safelite for just the side window. I decided to replace the windshield at the same time, as it couldn't pass inspection. They were able to get to it sooner than Safelite as well. Debbie was great in getting me on the schedule and in making sure I got the best price on the glass. When Beau and Tanner came to do the work they were absolutely the kindest people you can imagine! They let my son watch them the whole time and even allowed him to ask questions and "help out". It was such a pleasant time, such a good experience, I was happy to pay what it cost. It was a wholly good outcome of a really bad break-in. I cannot recommend them enough!
