They aren't really a brake store only do front brakes not brake drums...I also took my car in to get the spark plugs replaced and these guys left hoses detached..screws misplaced..I have more trouble with it now I will never come here again I wouldn't recommend this to anyone

Absolutely the best service and hospitality. It was a Saturday afternoon I was in a crisis and they were able to fit me in to fix both my front and back drivers side tires. The tire change took less than 30 minutes and was so nicely done. These guys are amazing and I am so grateful they were able to help me.

Myself and my roommate have been to this repair shop before so I felt confident bringing my vehicle here because my main shop couldn't squeeze me in on time before I left out of state.... I had a car with misfiring cylinder and took it in to see if we needed to replace coils/spark plugs (pretty common repair). They didn't wanna take my word for what was wrong which was fine so I paid their diagnosis fee of $150 (other shops in area charge way less) to let the "professionals" figure out what was wrong. After 3 days of "diagnosis" I get a call telling me that basically half my engine needs to be repaired with a valve job (engine has less than 90k miles on it) and that it would run me well over $3,000 to fix. The estimates on that job were so expensive compared to shops all around San Diego that I felt like I needed to get a second look at what was wrong and thank god I did. These guys have no idea what they are doing. I went a quarter of a mile down the road and paid their competitors $400 to not only figure out what was wrong BUT ALSO FIX IT TOO! I went back to this shop to tell them what I originally said needed fixed was right & how I'd like at least a partial refund but they just tried brushing it off onto this third party they brought the vehicle to look at (which as a customer I was under the impression they were the ones diagnosing my vehicle cause I'm paying them to). Regardless of whether its this Advantage Tire Shop's fault or the third party they sent the vehicle to it don't matter cause they were the ones to accept payment and not even provide a proper diagnosis. Just writing this review to keep San Diego shoppers alert - there's a lot of other honest shops out there on the same street that deserve your business and support way more!

Terrible experience got my brakes and rotors changed here was told it would get rid of the weird noise coming from the brakes but they made it worst not recommended

(review by a automotive technology certified graduate) Only good thing I can say is they got good prices.. but safety and proper torquing procedure and specs is not important to them . They'll drop lugnuts in the dirt (possibly mess up your thead pattern)..not even sure they balanced the 4 tires i bought. Learn how to properly change and tighten, torque tires before letting customers drive off and have an accident or have a tire get loose on road .Not even a receipt , so they can't be tracked and held responsible for their actions. Not the workers fault for not being provided with a proper torque wrench.

I bought a Honda Civic last year from Auto Sellers which is next door to this repair shop. I needed my brakes done and another shop down the street quoted me $800. Advantage did the same brake job for $400. The guys were very nice and professional. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing, so glad that I saved $400 by coming here. I will recommend this shop to my friends and neighbors.

Very very good service. They're very honest helpful and very reasonable on price great great prices totally recommend this place for used and new tires and anything in between. Totally recommend this place to everyone. And the best of all that don't charge you extra if you pay with a credit card like other places do very honestly good place to go to.

(ASE Mechanic's review) Courteous but not the best experienced nor well-equiped. They did not torque-check lugs on a single wheel and overinflated my tires to 50psi. They diagnosed a bead-leak as a torn bead and suggested new tires. When I asked why they wouldn't just use standard commercial bead-sealer on my bead-leak, they informed me that they dont have any and insisted there was a cut in my tires. There was not. I have since had my beads resealed by better stocked mechanics and there was no such damage to speak of. Be safe.

Got a flat tire and took it off. Luckily I was only a block from Caibre Collision. The worker fixed my tire for $15 and was done in 5 minutes. I could of replaced it for only $30. Great prices. Very fast service. Extremely friendly staff.

Honest quality and honest people. My tire was showing cord and I needed an alignment really bad. Instead of choosing which one I could afford, they picked out a gently used tire (that I inspected and seriouly looked brand new), which saved me a lot of money so I could afford the alignment too. Grateful that I found this place and I'll come here for my future car needs too. Thanks guys!
