Took my car in to get new rear tires after getting flat and from the moment I called to schedule the service was amazing. I had tires that they normally didn't provide but they had even offered to see if they could get them from a different vendor for me and then provided me with quotes for 4 other tires that would work. They were willing to take pictures I had asked for and took me into the shop to physically see why I needed to brakes and rotors before I let them go ahead with it. There was constant communication and they even went as far to take off payment for a service I had requested when they couldn't fully complete it to their satisfaction. Definitely recommended them and will definitely be going back

My daughter took her car there. Tony the shop manager handled the service! He provided contact by Tex or call. He was very honest! Didn’t try make money off my daughter. Told her after the evaluation! An estimated guess of how much. It would cost. And me (Mom) he answered all my questions! In a professional patient manner! That’s a good company! Everyone should give them a try! You will be satisfied!

ACE is the place! Great ownership, quality of service, and customer service. The front office is very friendly and helpful in scheduling appointments and providing service updates, and the service techs and mechanics are very kind and helpful. They also balance providing a thorough explanation of the health of your car and what work MAY need done, but without suggesting additional friviolous unnecessary work. Tony specifically took time to explain results of a diagnostic exam, what work needed done, and what to look for in future wear and tear; while also assauging my concerns in the immediate health of the car when pursuing wheel bearing replacements. You can rely on honesty, professionalism, and thorough service from ACE.

Excellent service. Allows you to opt in for texts in case they miss your call. Got me in same day for a flat, ended up getting a few other maintenance items done (my request). No pressure to upsell. Up front about prices. Prices are generally around what I'd expect for market value. The guys at the shop are super friendly, very helpful. Very quick turn-around time, car was in the shop for under 24hr. Oh, also, they did detailing on my husband's car like 2 years ago and it was excellent work at a really reasonable price. Highly recommend!

the manager (tony) seems super honest. he called me to tell me that I'd be putting way too much money into the car to fix the problems it has & that it wouldn't be worth it. he also gave me some helpful advice about finding a new car.

Got state inspection done within a reasonable amount of time, and they noticed my rear light bulbs were dying and replaced them for free. Great customer service and clean waiting area, coffee & water. Thanks Tony, Carlos, and the other dude!

GREAT EXPERIENCE! Folks in the office and the mechanic were very helpful and friendly. Repaired our tire quickly and got us back on the road after we got a flat while traveling through town from MA. They went the extra mile to help us and were understanding of our situation.

Last week Ace Auto Repair replaced my 2017 Hyundai Accent rear brakes, and they did a wheel alignment an oil change. Truly excellent quality of work and service. Old-fashioned friendliness and trustworthy feedback from this group of relatively young people. Makes you hopeful!

Listen! I built a service business and, I very much understand the value of great service. Well let me tell you, Ace Auto Center may be one of the best I’ve experienced! You see, my wife and I were traveling to Florida from Cape Cod. We stayed in Old Charlottesville the night before and woke up early and noticed our tire pressures were down. We went to breakfast and decided to take the car to Ace for a look. We realized they opened at 8 but, we showed up at 7:30 with no appointment. Mark was starting his day early and taking care of the maintenance at Ace. He welcomed us and asked us to wait until the Manager showed. Tony came in at 7:45 and was just uncommonly helpful…obviously, Tony knew we were passing through but, he took the time to examine the problem immediately and resolved it so we could get on the road by 8…truly remarkable!! Well done Ace Team as you’ve got a very special group here!!

We are from out of town going to Monticello. Had a noise in the engine that was concerning. Got to ACE when they opened and Tony took care of us and more. Drove our vehicle and came back to tell us not to worry as the noise isn’t anything to worry about. What a relief and blessing. Highly recommend using this company. Thanks Tony!!

Ace Auto of Charlottesville, VA are excellent folks! My co-worker and I were getting ready to head home from a conference, and my car would not start. After calling Ace Auto, John listened to my dilemma and sent Tony out to help. Tony soon arrived and had us back on the road with a jump and instructions not to turn off the car! Since the battery is under warranty, he advised me on the next step and I'm happy to say that my mechanic is replacing the battery tomorrow. Tony even reached out this evening to make sure we got home safely! Thankful to John and Tony from Ace Auto for their professionalism, quick assistance, and compassionate attitude towards an out-of-towner. Highly recommend them to anyone in the Charlottesville, VA area.

My wife and I always bring our cars here for the yearly inspection. Everyone is nice and seem to genuinely care about ensuring you car runs correctly. The few times we’ve needed repairs they explained everything and the price is always reasonable. Highly recommend, love this auto shop!

I normally don't write reviews, but I had such a positive experience that I feel compelled to do so. I just moved to town and took my car in for an issue I was having with the wheels (it turns out it was time to replace the tires). The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. My mechanic, Tony, is a phenomenal guy and a straight shooter. He explained to me my options and offered a variety of price points for solutions. I personally don't know a ton about cars and I never know if I am being taken advantage of or upcharged for my ignorance. Tony and the folks at ACE were refreshingly transparent. If you're like me and you're looking for an honest mechanic who does great work, I highly recommend ACE. My only note is they have a service charge for using a credit card, but you can pay with cash, a check, or a debit card to avoid the nominal 3% fee. From now on, I will only come to ACE for auto services as long as I'm in Cville!

Just moved here and the last thing I needed was car trouble, but Ace Auto made it pretty easy. My steering wheel locked up on me which sounds like a problem most shops would really milk to make money out of. However, Ace Auto was more than honest in fixing the issue which probably took them all of 20 minutes. Will be back soon.

They are a friendly bunch of guys and the manager Tony genuinely cares about delivering a good experience. When Tony was made aware of a communication gap, he did his research to figure out what happened and took time to call me directly to make things right. Mistakes happen, but how you address them is telling. Based on my experience, I would trust the Ace team to work on my cars and make sure my cars are staying safe on the road.

Absolutely delighted with the service. I had a slew of older car maintenance that needed to be taken care of so that it was safe for me to drive again. Tony made sure that everything was done correctly and communicated exactly what needed to be done in the process. They had a lot to do and got it done quickly so I was up and running again! I came here after reading good reviews. I had a bad tire and thought I needed 4 new tires which would have cost me almost $550. Tony was very honest and fixed the bad tire for $30 instead and said the others were still in good shape and I didn’t need new ones. It’s good to know there are still honorable people in the world. The other people there were also very nice.

I manage a small fleet for my company and use Ace Auto Center Express for many regular maintenance services, state inspections, as well as unexpected breakdowns with our vehicles. I trust the work the mechanics do, and the prices are fair and quality of service is very high. I'm a good mechanic on my own vehicles and have used Ace for alignments and tire work on my vehicles, highly satisfied with those services too. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about cars and good at explaining what work is needed and why.

Literally the best experience I’ve had with an automotive mechanic business ever. Shout out to my man, Tony. I don’t even talk to my mother (in a weeks time) as much as I talked to him in just the time they worked on my truck. He checked in, gave me timelines and greeted me at the door with a smile. Usually you get grunts and short answers; there you get actual warmth and respect. Huge fan and it’s great to see some people still know customer service. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
