A few weeks ago my engine was running lean and giving P0171 & 174 engine codes so I brought it in to be further diagnosed. They said I had 3 clogged cats and quoted me around $3500 to replace them and the o2 sensors. They couldn't give me a sound explanation on how they deduced that was the root issue or how they were so certain. Given that & the fact that there was no 420 or 430 code being thrown I decided to not have them do the repair because there was no way it was the cats. Instead, after some research and a quick test at home I figured it was the MAF sensor. Cleaned that and replaced the air filter for like $30 total, the codes have cleared and the car runs fine ever since. I'm really not sure what they saw or even tested to have so much confidence despite being so wrong.

Called shop asking to get my motor rebuilt dropped off truck calls me and tells me that I need a new engine and that they don’t rebuild motors and charge me $200 if that were the case, why tell me to drop it off?

I recently used Above and Beyond for a pretty serious oil leak. The Service Manager, James was very communicative, providing updates through the whole repair process. He took the time to explain everything that was performed so I could understand it. The price was very affordable compared to dealership prices. I highly recommend, and will be going back for any future car service needs!!!

Do not be from out of state and ask for a pre purcWhase inspection. Will make you wait damn near two hours then put on it lift for tens minutes then you walk out being rapped for $185.00

I had my wife vehicle towed on 21-May-24. I gave them an premium idea of the issue. James & the staff was able to determine the issue before the end of the day. I was able to get the vehicle back before the three day weekend. Thanks for great job & speedy repair.

My husband and Martin always shared one thing in common that was the joy of Corvettes. Before my husband passed he always said to make sure you take this vet over to above and beyond that's the only place that can work on it. Martin always manages to help me find things I don't notice. They were very highly recommended by an old shipmate and I understand why. Although they had many vehicles, I was able to get an appointment three days out. James assessed my brakes problem and gave me a quote. It was ready that afternoon but I had to wait until the next business day. If I ever need more work on the truck, I will be back. BTW, I paid exactly what the quote was, nothing more.

Have a 1998 Ford F150 and Martin and his team have repaired a bad window motor, gear shift needle registering in wrong position , and a phantom battery drain. Above and Beyond definitely earns its name! Professional work at a great price!

I had three other mechanics look at my car after they did and they didn't just misdiagnose... They definitely tried to rip me off. All three mechanics after them said I would have known if my wheel bearings were bad. I'd hear them. I'd feel them. And what do you know? All three said they were fine. I have a bad sensor. I see that's also on my estimate but they tried to throw in a few extra things apparently. Shady. I also paid $212 for a diag and flipping tire patch. Only positive part of the whole experience was their cute dogs in the office. Not enough to waste $1450 or whatever they quoted me.
