2015 Tahoe original transmission went out at 149000mi. Chevy wanted near 10k to rebuild it, Aamco Oakland did so for 5600k. I was stunned at how quick it took the team fixed it after new year holiday, finished <4 days. Chevy predicted >week. The service was awesome, Kareem is a true gentleman, very professional, provided frequent updates, worked with my busy schedule to return car with no added charge (they keep your care stored in facility for security). + 2yr warranty. Currently driving well after 3wks of having car back. I would definitely recommend this center for your transmission needs.

Kareem at amcco fix my car also told me what else was wrong with my car even called to make sure that my car was running good very friendly and work with me on the price help with financiaing which other place didn't do so this is the place to go to get your transmission done.

I was devastated when my transmission went out. Kareem and his team did an extraordinary job assessing, repairing and restoring my vehicle. This was back in October 2024 and my car is still running smoothly. I do not expect it to last forever but in the future, will take it straight to Kareem and his team! I recommend them! Aamco was very knowledgeable and professional about doing my transmission rebuild. Though the price was not ideal, the owner and his staff was very straight forward with me about the issues and communicated with me throughout the process. They were able to complete it withing a week. My car changes gears with ease and rides almost like new. Thank you Aamco.

I was initially told by Khareem that my valve body and selenoid was bad. When I picked my truck up Khareem told me two NEW things: 1.) Now my problem was the 3rd gear in my transmission was bad (nothing more was said about the valve body or the selenoid) 2.) reason my repair quote was so high was because I had such a huge transmission (4L80) I told him that was wrong. GMC 2004 yukon denali came with 4L60. I don't feel confident in the service and diagnosis I paid for and received.

The owner looked at my car, diagnosed it and gave me great advice. A new Transmission for my car would be $5,800 coming with perrenial engine problems like the ones I already have. He advised me on a better model that made sense and has helped me. I have seen very few honest people who would decline $6000 and give technical advice for free, to a stranger🤓. This breed is rare in my generation. Thank you sir!

AAMCO station on Brook street in Oakland, has your back. I was surprised how hard it was to find a knowledgeable repair shops that cared about the customer and not just the payment. The staff are all professional in their craft. They enjoy seeing you satisfied with the work that they do, and that makes you feel like I have found a shop for all my auto repairs. And I don't need to look around anymore. That's the type of people you want working on your car. AAMCO is number 1.

My car is plays a large roll in my job. No car means I can’t effectively do my job. Finding out your car isn’t operational & needs expensive repairs is a jagged pill to swallow. AAMCO made taking that jagged pill like drinking a warm cup of cocoa. The staff was knowledgeable, efficient, helpful and compassionate. I can’t thank them enough for the patience they had with me. They have earned my trust and are now my go to shop.

We are EXTREMELY Satisfied with the repair and rebuilding of the transmission of our "work truck". We have called several shops for quotes on the service and we decided to pick AAMCO Transmissions, Oakland ,as Kareem was very knowledgeable and asked the right questions on the issues of our failed transmission of our "work truck". The Price quoted was very reasonable and guaranteed to rebuild the transmission all with OEM Parts with 2 year warranty that is transferable even with a new Owner . Kareem Promised 7 business days turnaround time to do the job.... and got a call today that our "work truck " is ready , and it only took 5 business days . We are happy that we got our "work truck" earlier than what was promised ...The service quality was truly exceptional and I highly recommend this auto repair shop :-)
