Where do I even begin. The only reason I am giving 1 star is because I have to. This place is awful and all they do is lie and make up excuses. We brought our truck into them because the transmission went out after 14 months and it was under warranty with them. We dropped the truck off the week before Thanksgiving. My husband was told that oh yeah, we have plenty of parts around, shouldn't take us too long to get it back to you. Well, we didn't end up getting the truck back until JANUARY! Whenever we would call to get an update, it was either they were looking for a part or something like that. The next thing they told us once it got close to Christmas and we still didn't have the truck back is that the new transmission was damaged during shipping to the shop and that it would have to be sent back and fixed and then they would have it to us. Fast forward to January 23rd when we finally got the truck back. My husband was driving home and the rpms just dropped while he was traveling up the Fred Hartman bridge! Truck is not running right. He makes it home to Baytown inspect the truck, and things are all messed up. Bolts missing, they didn't even put the headlight back in correctly. The truck is leaking transmission fluid. SO explain to me exactly what you did, because the truck came back to us in worse shape than when we left it! The shop person Randy had the nerve to say can you bring it back to the shop when we barely made it to the house. How about you pay to tow it to your shop? This place is awful if you're doing warranty work. I would never recommend this place to anyone. We ended up having to get rid of the truck to get a more reliable vehicle. The last thing we wanted to do was take it back to them and be without our truck for another two months. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I brought my car for a transmission check up because my warranty have them as "specialists" in transmissions and they returned it even worse than when I took it, I took it on November/2024 and it's already January 2025 and haven't got my car back yet. I have a very bad impression of this aamco in particular. I have to keep calling them to get an update and get no answer from them. Very disappointed with their service and capability, I'm not sure why warranty companies have them as "experts".

Richard was very polite and explained everything very thoroughly. Work completed in a timely manner. Have been here twice in the past 3 years and will come again if needed.

These guys saved me from a headache. They were extremely honest, quick to respond, and did a great job fixing my car! Richard was particularly great with customer service and helping me out.

I can't express the gratitude and thanks I have for these three guys they went above and beyond. Mr. Richard, Devin and Trevor did everything possible to get me back on the road and in a quick matter at that. My anxiety was on ten and I honestly didn't have a worry after I left my keys w them. They have hearts of gold and I pray they are blessed because they do/doing what most won't do and it's definitely appreciated.

Waste of time waste of people have them pulled up to fix my spare key the Hispanic, dude that they sent. Don’t know what he doing. I started playing a video started listening to the video and following the instruction on the tablet that they used the program and didn’t understand as listening to the instruction trying to tell me that is something else going on with my car when all I needed WAS FOR MY KEY TO PROGRAM HE CANNOT DO IT WE HAD THE TIMR TO TELL ME TO PAY $30

I visited this place as i was having transmission issues. Prior to visiting i had work done here and had a great experience but this time not so much. One i arrived, i wasn’t greeted or anything, i walked through the door and was automatically told “you need a transmission” by Brandon. Of course i knew that was the issue , but i wanted quotes and prices. He told me “It’ll be around 2000 without even checking or inputting my car information in the system. I asked if he could kindly check that information within the system. He began to sigh and made it seem as though i was bothering him. He looks up my information and see that i previously got work done there well over that amount and his whole demeanor change. He ended up telling me he apologized as he was having a rough day but i don’t feel he should have took it out on me. I felt as though i was discriminated against as i am a young African American and he automatically thought i couldn’t afford it. I took my car elsewhere and got excellent service. I would never go back there after that horrible treatment.

I would give 10 stars! Wynton and Brandon are amazing! They saved me thousands of dollars and pinned pointed the issue right down to the problem when everyone was giving us the run around. Don’t hesitate! They can be trusted and are very dependable. I will not be going anywhere else.

** update to the below review ** This shop replied to my review and all the uppercase verbiage and the snarky nature of the response is further more why I will not utilize this business for any of my needs. Thanks for the offer to look at my vehicle for no charge, but I will maintain that I do not want people who speak to customers this way to work on my car. A customer should never be made to feel like they are an inconvenience when they need assistance. Lengthy or not, to be cut off and ultimately hung up on is unacceptable. So thanks but no thanks! I wanted to give this review because I called to see about services and was met with someone who was so rude and inconsiderate at a very stressful time. I needed to find out if they could assist me with an issue I was having with a part I needed put on properly on my car. Couldn’t even explain the issue because as I attempted to, I was cut off and placed on hold. When they returned to the line, and I attempted to continue the explanation, I was cut off again with a tone of exasperation as if I was talking too much and was actually told I was being too lengthy with my issue, told to “just bring it in ma’am”, and was ultimately hung up on. Customer service is clearly nonexistent at this place and as a result I decided to take my vehicle and my money elsewhere for assistance because I don’t want people who treat customers like this working on my car. The entire conversation was EXTREMELY rude. Don’t come here unless you want to deal with this nonsense.

Brandon and his team are the best in Houston! Affordable, Friendly, extremely knowledgeable and they’ll have you in and out faster than anybody in the city! At AAMCO they take care of your car needs as if the cars are theirs, I’ve had my transmission replaced, alternator, and they also take care of my oil changes as well. Stop by and you’ll never take your car anywhere else!!

Change of heart in a earlier review I Mention a unsatisfactory customer service review. All that have changed now. A few days ago i had a totally different experience my car service was to the great expectation. As they usually do find work anyway they was totally honest about the condition of my vehicle and a fair price lower than I expected and the customer service was fantastic they always has been nice guys to be around I believe they made a extra step just to accommodate me yes I really will recommend this Aamco to family and friends... Man, these guys got me out of a jam. Ford wanted me to wait over a month for a part with no eta. These guys had the part and had me on the road in less than a day...FOR LESS MONEY!! Great communication, great team, I'm definitely being the truck back if I need anything else!

My check engine light came on which caught me off guard so I took my vehicle to AAMCO to get it serviced, they were very professional and detailed found out my transmission was going out, I let them replace my transmission and my car is running like when I first purchased it. They did a great job Thanks so much

Nothing but good things to say about Brandon and his team. Everyone was professional and courteous in every way. The transmission failed in my Jeep. My extended warranty is with Route 66 (a good company) and AAMCO is preferred shop. Right up front I was told this would be lengthy process both because of the failure (time it takes to get another transmission) and because of working with the insurance (Route 66). Candor in communications keeps expectations real. Brandon negotiated with Route 66 fairly serving both AAMCO and me. In the end I was out a few hundred dollars for a several thousand dollar repair. Transmission problems are big ticket, big stress items. And they do other stuff, too. Go to this shop, let this team take care of your needs. I am confident that you will be pleased that you did.

The staff was very helpful and "honest", which is very hard to find in a mechanic these days. Big kudos to Winton. His knowledge of my vehicle was evident, and his presence brought me comfort and safety in leaving my vehicle. Thanks to the entire staff and I will return. I highly recommend their (AAMCO) service to everyone!
