Overpriced transmission, they also don’t have any in stock and would have to rebuild yours which just adds more money in labor. Also guy on the phone was not very pleasant when I told him I couldn’t afford the price he was giving me of 1300 dollars plus labor for a stock rebuilt 4l60.

The AAMCO in Edmond provided me with excellent service. I initially took my 2020 Ford Transit 350 XL to a Ford dealership on NW Expressway for routine maintenance and mentioned that my vehicle was a bit hesitant while driving. They kept my vehicle for a couple of days for diagnostics and concluded that I needed a transmission replacement. They gave me two quotes: $10,000 for a new transmission and $5,500 for a rebuilt one. I decided to seek a second opinion from AAMCO. AAMCO also kept my vehicle for a couple of days for diagnostics and determined that there were no error codes and the transmission was operating properly. AAMCO could have easily taken advantage of the situation given that a certified service dealership had recommended a transmission replacement, but they were honest enough to tell me that I didn't need one. It's difficult to find honest and trustworthy auto service mechanics these days, but it's a blessing that AAMCO is still around. If you're experiencing or think you have transmission problems, go to AAMCO in Edmond and let the manager, TJ, assist you.

TJ and crew provided excellent customer service with the issue we were having on our Tahoe. Very thorough explanation of what they found during the inspection, then provided a detailed quote. Approved the quote and the job was completed in a timely manner. Being that it was a large bill for the repair, TJ went over several payment options that were available to us. Would highly recommend this shop for anyone needing transmission work!

Very pleased with price of repair and associated service. We were kept what needed to be done and its estimated cost as well as when it might be finished. We are very happy and will be letting Aamco repair the transmission in our Jeep Patriot.

We brought our car in, suspecting transmission issues. TJ checked us in and explained the options. He phoned one day later to let us know that the diagnostics show the issue with our car was under an extended warranty if we took it to our dealer for service. We had no idea! We really appreciate the honesty and professionalism we found at AAMCO.

I've been to all kinds of shops for all kinds of repairs in the past. Never have I been lied to so bad. These guys said that there was a noise coming from the transmission and that both CV axles were bad. And quoted me a price of $13,600 and some change to put in a crate transmission and replace the CVs that were still under warranty. Took it to another mechanic who replaced both CVs and problem solved. No noise coming from the transmission. No other problems.... Do not trust these people. It doesn't matter that they're diagnostic is free. They do that so they can pull you into paying money. You don't need to pay.

They put a large dent in the front left fender while they had our truck for diagnoses. They offered to compensate and us for the damage and work our transmission problem too. We decided we needed to go somewhere else.

I always take my vehicles to aamco for any problems I ever need help with when it comes to them acting up. They've replaced my wife's transmission before with efficiency and promptneess and they always take great care of me and my truck every time I bring it in for an oil change. My favorite car place by far!

I bought a used car and brought it in to have the transmission and air conditioning checked. Richard and team did the checks and found there were no repairs needed to either system. They did find a leak in a oil filter housing. They gave me a quote for a transmission fluid change, and also for the oil filter housing replacement. When I picked up the car and went to pay, Richard said there was no charge for the free inspection service. I was expecting to pay for the inspection, so I was pleasantly surprised. This seems like a fair and honest repair shop, and I will be happy to take my vehicle in to them as needed.

I can not say enough about TJ and his crew. I had a very difficult project that I brought them. This was not a normal transmission fix, they worked tirelessly and got me squared away. Even stay late once it was done for me get my truck. I would highly recommend them for any work you need done.

I simply had a yellow check engine light that came on. No engine miss or hard to start or any other issues. I dropped it off on a weekend. TJ, the manager, called the following week and explained that the codes coming up on the scan were not conclusive and some troubleshooting would be necessary. I ok’d the labor and received a call back after the troubleshooting…….. a bad ECM. I authorized the repair, they replaced it, I picked it up, and my old reliable is back on the road. Light is off and I feel they handled my issue very professionally and at a fair price. Again, thank you for everything.

They were transparent about everything, fast, and several weeks after my repairs I can honestly say they did a good job. No issues. I’ve had them rebuild my transmission, replace my transfer case, and they did a few other things that were needed in the process. The 2 major repairs were done on separate occasions a few months apart and both times they had my vehicle they got it taken care of quickly and properly. No complaints whatsoever.

This place follows the current trend of “I want your car on my lot for 2 days before I will even look at it”…. I dont know if this is a side operation of renting my car out for 2 days or if repair shops really just love to have cars setting around…. Seems scammy either way.

Took more than 4 tries to get the transmission fixed. The first time the fixed it the thing blew up and had to be towed back. I had them do a few other things like the steering rack which is leaking as well. I don’t know why I didn’t qualify for some kind of discount for all the trips back i had to make. I had to leave my truck and go back home hundreds of miles and barrow a car to come back. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place.

Was told by my auto dealership that I needed a new or rebuilt transmission. It was going to be $4000 to $7000. I decided to take it to TJ at Aamco to get a second opinion. After evaluating my vehicle he said the transmission was operating as designed. He could very well have charged me for his time but this was all included in his complimentary inspection at no charge.
