Had my transmission replaced in may for my truck and since then have had nothing but problems. Within 7000 miles I have had to take it back 4 times and on the 4th time the bolts were loose and the transmission was starting to fall out of the truck causing damage to the back of the motor. Many things were said to be the reason for the transmission falling out when it only could have been caused by the bolts in the transmission not being torqued properly according the multiple certified mechanics we took it to afterwords. Once they decided to fix the problem they replaced what had been damaged and I get the truck back and am told that it runs great and shouldn’t have any more issues, I pick it up and as soon as I leave the parking lot it is delayed when shifting, shifts rough, and the service 4x4 light turned on which I have never had issues with before and now I do after they replaced the transfer case. Within 7000 miles and 4 times at their shop the truck still doesn’t shift correctly and has caused nothing but problems and thousands of dollars in more damage. I will never bring anything to them again and I will not recommend them to anyone. The only reason they got the one star review was because 0 was not an option

I took our car to another repair shop, popular transmission shop, and they told us we needed a new transmission... $5600. I decided to get a second opinion, good thing. AAMCO took the time to go deeper with the diagnosis and codes and found some electrical connections and cables to the transmission that were faulty. They replaced them and guess what ...fixed it. And for a little over $700 . Mike the Service adviser was completely professional, thorough and a good communicator.

Been getting service here for over 30plus years and I've always been satisfied with the service. Mike has been awesome helping with getting me financed when I didn't have the money to get major repairs. The workers are all great guys as well! Keep doing amazing work guys!

Called to get an estimate on a part. Was only looking for a ballpark estimate. They wanted specific detailed information on that part, which is understandable. However, I was only looking for a ballpark estimate. What is not understandable or professional is the representative talking over me while I was explaining what I was looking for. And when I finally told them what I looking for, the most expensive ball park estimate for that general part, they rudely spoke over me saying to just do what they told me to do. Instead of giving me the general ball park figure like I had asked. I called Firestone and within 1 minute they heard me out and gave me the answer to my question, which was only a ballpark estimate. It turned out to be a simple request like I had thought. I hope that my experience is an outlier, I hope that this establishment treats its customers better than this and that this employee was having a bad day. But as of now another business will receive my money, and I will make others aware of my experience at this establishment. As to AAMCO Hope all works well for them. And I hope they have a good day.

I was having some issues with a transmission and possibly some brake issues. They got me in pretty quick and when they told me it needed a transmission but the brakes were fine I told them I couldn't justify the transmission on this high mile car they said ok come and it. No sale pressure and just straight honesty with me, great customer service!

If i could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely love this shop. Have been going here for a few years. Why? The mechanics are very good at diagnosing and repairs Prices are in the same market as other shops if not cheaper. There is usually a coupon on their website to save a few bucks. They fixed my lower control arm on my 2016 Chrysler 200. I was so happy when I picked it up and my car was no longer swerving into the other lane. They have also done other work for me on other cars I own. Mike is also a great man so friendly and easy to talk too. Keeps you posted on the status of your car. Will of course be going back. This shops feels like family. I can trust them with my cars. FYI this is Melissa phelps

I’ve done business with Mike Nelson many times over the last 5 or 6 years and he’s always treated me fairly and done great work. I won’t take my car anywhere else but AAMCO in Council Bluffs. I currently need to have my transmission rebuilt and the cost quoted me is $2000-$3000 less than anywhere else I inquired. Thanks Mike!

RUDE! I was told to bring my vehicle in and drop it off. They will "see if they can get to it". I asked for a more definitive answer as I do not want to drop it off if they can't get to it. Was told to go somewhere else.

01/06/224 Edit: car is repaired. The part they put in broke and it was covered under their warranty. I typically have to return after getting repairs here and it was no different this time. Keeping at 3 since they fixed their bad fix. Last comment 01/05/24 Edit: A weld broke where they did the repair. Currently awaiting to hear back from them regarding what they’re going to do Brought my vehicle in with just a hint of what needed repaired. Got word on the cost and Mike worked with me on a great financing option to get my car in working order. Less than two days later all parts were in and the repair was completed. Car is now driving fine and not coding on me. I appreciate the hard work and speed this fix was done in. Thanks Aamco.

Highly satisfied!! Mike is very informative & friendly. The technicians at AAMCO do amazing work & had my car running more smoothly than is had in years prior. They offer tools to assist with payment if you’re tight on money at the time of needing repair, as I was, & with a 12 month - 12,000 mile warranty on parts provided.
