Had an emergency transmission problem and Dave was unbelievable in helping me with my daughters car. He was able to diagnose it with in 2 hours, was very professional and gave us a referral to help fix some engine issues. If you have any type of transmission issue this is the place to take it to in Boise.

Dave got my vehicle in right away when I called and told him I was having it towed there, he got to the inspection quickly and let me know the problem within one day. After the problem was found, he was able to order replacements and install them within another few hours. So quick and easy, as well as a personable guy who was eager to fix it right away for me!

Aamco is amazing to work with. They go out of thier way to get you vehicle fixed and explain everything. If you ever need a great place to take your car and not have to worry about being upsold or have unnecessary repairs this is the place. I would recommend them to everyone! They rebuilt the transmission in my husband's truck and were reasonable priced, and did it in timely manner. They just fixed a oil leak in my daughters car that was misdiagnosed by a different place and saved me alot of money. They walked me thru everything and got her car back on the road quickly!

I was across the street at Stinker and my locking gas cap would not unlock and this fine crew went out of their way to make sure I could get into my work truck didn’t charge me just took care of me. Walked into the shop just looking for a once over before an out of state road trip. The mechanics looked over the whole car and found a small crack that would have resulted in a total loss for us with our car. Dave gave us a few options and helped us make the best repair decision for us. Anytime I need something done on the family car again, I will ALWAYS take it to Dave and his crew!

In summer 2023, I brought my 2012 Imprezza Subaru to Dave and Scott at AAMCO on State Street for repair work. I cannot say enough about their honesty, integrity, and of course workmanship. By the time I realized that the previous mechanic was lying to me and doing more harm than good, I found this AAMCO location online and had my car towed to Dave and Scott as fast as possible. I went to the previous mechanic for a new clutch. By the time I got my car towed to Dave and Scott, they needed to put Humpty Dumpty together again. They found the clutch, transmission, starter, and who knows what else in the trunk of my car. Because of the age and low miles, Dave encouraged me to let them put the car back together and I am so glad I did. The car runs like a dream!! Plus, I found a mechanic for life. That means a lot!
