DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! They had my truck for two weeks. Returned my calls one time and told me the engine was basically unrepairable without extensive work being done. When the truck was dropped off it was having transmission issues and did indeed need a new transmission. However I spent 300 dollars for them to have it not running, battery dead, and nothing repaired. I literally paid 300 for them to make it worse. I had it taken to a different mechanic that had it running for less than 500 dollars and explained that this shop simply didn't know how to remove the plugs. At one time they even stated it could need a engine rebuild resulting in over 10 grand for everything. As I stated it did need a new transmission, however, they repairs that they walked around whether not knowing what they were doing or being dishonest was unacceptable. I live out of town and my son is in school down there so I can only assume they were attempting to take advantage or are simply incompetent. My truck was also repaired in 2 days at the other shop. They had it two weeks and made it worse. This is as honest and the only review I've ever left for a company. Just don't take it, thank me later. Just an update...the mechanic I took it to back in Georgia said they broke three plugs off not knowing how to properly get them out, somehow killed a new battery and now the truck is running fine. Seriously don't take your vehicle here. In response.... Ther three plugs y'all broke trying to remove them were repaired by a mechanic that knew what they were doing. No chemicals needed to be ran through the engine. You simply did not know what you were doing. The mechanic here removed all three and replaced the others in two hours and it was a fraction of your cost. He explained that you guys either did not know what you were doing. Were unfamiliar with how to remove the part or just trying to rip us off. I personally feel that you guys are just incompetent. I don't think your crooks but definitely inferior mechanics. Like I said the transmission was shot. However there truck engine was repaired and all plugs replaced for 700. It was only 500 to fix what y'all messed up. The truck runs fine with no compression issues. I think it would be fair to say you just didn't know what you were doing. Ther other mechanic had it repaired explained diagnosed and finished in a day and a half. You guys had it for two weeks. Your just bad at this. Sorry. In the future I would just hope that you tell the customer up front your not really good with serious mechanical issues and you don't want to waste their money or time. Two weeks you had the truck and managed to break three plugs off trying to remover them. Told me you would have to flush it with chemicals and all kid of things. The mechanic here had them out in one hour without and of that. Your just not very good. Be honest next time. Stick to oil changes and tire rotations. The mechanic heres exact words were "whoever started this has no clue how to work on this engine. Like I said it's running just fine now. No compression issues no misfire. And all plugs were replaced with one piece so it won't happen again. Like I said just be honest w customers and say your not qualified to work on things so they don't waste time and money. The truth is the facts and the facts are that you did a bad job.

❌ Highly not recommended. BS'd me and was rude. When I came for my appointment, nobody greeted me for 5 minutes. Nobody was at the front desk, people walked by me. My legs got tired so I sat down. Some old guy walked in and was he was seen 2 minutes later, BEFORE me. The old guy customer had been talking to the person at the front desk for about two minutes when I decided to leave. I walked out and made an appointment at AJ's auto care, which is 2 minutes away. 😎 When AJ answered the phone, he knew what my likey problem was right away (failing brake light switch). I gave him the exact exact same information I gave AA automotive. But unlike AA automotive, AJ knew what was causing the problem without me having to suggest what was wrong with it. The person who answered the phone at AA automotive tried to make it seem like it was a bigger job, "I've been doing this for blank years, I've never heard of xyz causing abc problems." He really tried to muscle me 😂 The funny thing is, I knew what the problem was because it's 2024 and the AI search result at the top of my well-worded Google search told me the list of possible problems. I narrowed it down using common sense. I may not be a car person, but I am a smart person. ✌️ So basically after seeing two red flags, I decided to play it safe and not wait for the third. It's like a first date, why wait for things to get worse? Also I will update this review if it turms out AJ and the AI were wrong. And if they are right, I will definitely be adding to it because AJ will have saved me probably $600 to $1,200 at least. I'm going to include a receipt of what AJ charges me too. AA automotive doesn't have many bad reviews. However, a first impression for me is everything. Always vote with your wallet folks.

My experience with this place is was bad they are some raciest POS one of the mechanics I asked a question he gets smart with me looking at me like I didn’t have the money for a repair shops like this needs to burn down to the ground hateful POS there

I had a great experience with AA Automotive! I needed some work done and they got me in a few days later and changed my drive belts the same day. Harrison, who helped me out, was very sweet and transparent when it came to my vehicle. He explained everything even though I have no idea about anything related to cars. My job was about a mile away from their company and he made sure I didn’t miss any work, so he drove out to meet me every time! After I got my car fixed, I heard a flapping noise and thought something was wrong, so they immediately told me to take it back to see what the issue was. Turns out, it was a sticker flapping on my tire, so nothing wrong with my car! Overall, my experience was awesome and I recommend them for your car! 10/10 experience!

Needed some work done on my car that turned out being a lot more than I was expecting, so I needed to get things going. From start to finish, AA was responsive, filled me in on everything they could, made sure I was well informed and even gave me a better rate than any other place I had gone to. Not only are they friendly employees, but they provide quality work. My wife has gone here for years and she has had the same experience. Even after they repaired my car, I had come back and they helped me re-secure a piece to the bottom of my car free of charge.

Never willing to help. I had a wobbly tire and was on the road and called for help to see if I could bring it in for a check up and they told me no… to check next week.. Always the same thing, never have time never have space, even if you are a regular costumer who has been taking your car there for years… how disappointing. Don’t expect to get help from them when you need it. **Response: No, that is not true. You didn’t provide any recommendations, reassurance or guidance. Just to call next week.

I had AA replace my timing belt and water pump ,on my Honda Ridgeline, I was going to do the work myself but I’ve got some health issues now and I’m not young anymore, After looking for an honest garage and good reviews I decided to get these guys to do it , I am glad I did , they gave me an estimate and when I picked it up there were no hidden fees and it was what they told me , it runs great and I will definitely use them again , highly recommended

I'm new to Jacksonville and my stepfather always take care of my car issues. My engine was overheating and I didn't know why. I took a chance of going to AA Automotive based off the reviews. I'm glad I did. Not only did they fix the issue but Sam kept my stepfather up-to-date. In addition, they brought my car to my place!! Great service and honesty.

Started going here four years ago when I ran over a nail nearby. They patched it in a few mins for like $25, and I was on my way. Been going back ever since. They aren’t always the cheapest, but consistently fair priced and reliable. Stopped in for an oil change today. They fixed my loose battery cable and filled, rotated my tires (bought from them) for practically nothing. Good folks. Good shop.

We have an F550 with rpm going up and down took it to the Ford dealership and they did not fix it. Replaced a part but the problem was still there. AA Automotive repaired very soon with affordable prices. They have experienced mechanics and knowledgeable staff, II would recommend the company 100% for any mechanical repair.
