Daaaaamn not worth a Damn no body answers phone Tara says nechanic will call never here from no one answers phone had my truck if still there 7 months Tara called yesterday said she has been very busy ok said she would get estimate by end of week …..stay tuned I MUST SAY after posting this Tara stepped up to the plate and hit a Homer Thx Tara fer all yer help.

Avoid this place at all cost!!!!! Found them on Facebook marketplace, the price seamed reasonable. I took it in to get my transmission rebuilt never got an update call from them about the progress, after 1.5 weeks I went ahead and call them to see how things are going. They finally gave me a date for it to be ready. (The price that they offer online for my transmission didn’t match) But what can i do now? My transmission is already there. Then the guy Jeremy tells me “hey I recommend to do a stage 2, it’ll better” etc so paid extra for that which i didn’t mind since i want it to last longer. After having it installed, the truck only lasted 3 MONTHS, 3 MONTHS!!! Wth Called to let them know, they ask to take it back which I do. The person who i had remove it broke a piece on it while removing it. So Jeremy tells me he’ll find one, after waiting almost two months without an update call or text. I’m having to call them again to see what’s up. He says he can’t find one cause they’re on “high demand” etc. Next day I go talk to the owner of another transmission shop, he makes one call and gets me one that same day. Next day I drop it off, Jeremy calls me and says that a piece was broken with the case I brought. So I go pick it back up to take to the other transmission guy and he gets me a new one the next day. Wow, within 48 hours I’m able to get these “high demand” cases. So he “rebuilts” it again and I get it installed again(2 time having to pay a guy to install it” and it’s still slipping at the same gears. Wth?!?!?! All in all I spent more than 2.5k. Should’ve just gone to the bigger guys and got it done right, the first time. Lesson learned.

I was going to give them 3 stars but felt that would be unfair do to a communication issue. The mechanic, in my opinion went above and beyond in diagnosing my daughter's 2001 Jeep. I would recommend... they are quite popular so don't be in a hurry but they did do a great job.

I typically don't write reviews, but the service I received was so poor that I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent others from facing the same issues. Initially, I visited A-1 on two occasions before deciding to have them work on my car. They were very polite and assured me that they could fix it. However, I later discovered that they were not handling the body work themselves, as they partner with Dynamic Dent DFW in Alvarado. After about four weeks of having my car in their possession, they texted me saying it would be ready on Friday, which turned out to be untrue. They kept delaying, giving me new dates that it would be ready, which continued for several days. When I finally got my car back, I paid the deductible, but upon reaching home, I found a part of my car on the floor. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the body work was not done properly, and my light was not connected. I returned the car, and the person from Dynamic seemed more concerned about whether I had paid than about the quality of the work. After another 3-4 days, I got my car back, only to realize that the antenna was missing, and the alignment was off. It was not properly assembled. They took it back for a third time, but by then, it was Saturday, and I needed my car for work on Monday. After six weeks of dealing with this situation, I had to involve my insurance company to ensure the repairs were done correctly. The whole process was a major hassle, especially considering that my insurance had paid them on the first day my car was there. It took far too long to get the work done properly.

UPDATE: After writing a negative review a month ago……I must add Ms.Tara has stepped up to the plate and way beyond … getting my insurance involved which I had no idea would take care of such a thing….I wish I could take down my negative review cuz idefinately would…YOU READ DAT GOOGLE REMOVE NEGATIVE…if any of my vehicles need repair I will travel the 30-40 minute drive ,I would even pay the xtra to have the tow truck take it to Tara ‘s place also known as A-1 auto and diesel…Itrust this woman that much..she does what she says she’s gonna do.Great efforts Tara I appreciate all you’ve done with my case .if there’s a way to remove the negative review lemme know .. it was a pleasure doin business witchu.Thanks for all you’ve done

Got my Transmission rebuilt for My H2 Hummer. Done faster here at half the price than others and perfect job. They quoted me at one price then found a way to somehow lower the price after the job because they found a better way to do it for less!! I highly recommend!!!!

Great place for auto and diesel repairs! Got my vehicle quoted at the dealership initially and they said it would take 4k to change the AC hoses (note, just change the hoses) and fix the cv axle leak and I said hell naw I'll get a second opinion. Took my vehicle here for a serpentine belt repair and got the AC and cv axle looked at while they're at it and they quoted me half of what the dealership says and more!! Full AC replacement, cv axle replacement and serpentine belt repair and I said Heck yeah!! Honest and quality work are rare so keep it up! Please keep the massage chair! It was great to de-stress of having my car broke down that day. :) Our go-to place for autorepair for sure!!

I can't even explain how satisfied I am with this establishment, simply amazing! I unfortunately purchased a 2017 Chevy Silverado z71 4wd in 2019 after 3 months the transmission blew up like so many others because of the torque converter cover came apart and destroyed the transmission. Chevy should have recalled for this problem but they didn't and now there is a class action law suit against them for it. So I was stuck paying $5,000 to have the transmission rebuilt. Truck ran fine for 3 years 36 months to the date the 36 month warranty was out! So I did some research online looking for another shop with great reviews, I wasn't about to go back to the last place. I found A-1 great reviews so I gave them a call. Colby told me to bring it in and they wouldn't charge me to check it out. So I take the truck in they tell me they are alittle busy but they will get to it. So I dropped it off on a Tuesday. Well on that Thursday the timing chain breaks on my Tahoe so now my second vehicle is down. I call em up and they tell me transmission is gone needs a rebuild. They quote me a price which was very reasonable, I tell to go ahead and fix it and explained I need it done by Friday I'm having to rent a car for a week. They said they would get it done. Well Thursday comes and they call me and tell me it's done. Yes a day early ! It's been like 3 weeks and my truck is running perfect. I would highly recommend Colby and his team great work at a great price! Thanks A-1 for a great experience .

My F-250 diesel truck pulling a 40 ft 5th wheel broke down along I-35. The folks at A-1 were very helpful in getting my truck fixed that very same day! Not only was the customer service and work excellent, but the price was very reasonable - much better than I had expected. Couldn't be more satisfied with my experience with the nice folks at A-1 Auto and Diesel Repair.

Out of all the transmission repair shops, this one had the best reviews, so i went with them. They had my transmission pulled, rebuilt, and reinstalled in the time they said it would take. My truck is running smooth. Im gonna baby it through the break-in period , and hopefully, after that, it's still running good when i let loose with it. I will update this review in about a month. Thank you for getting my truck back to the way it needed to be. UPDATE....................... It's been over a year now. My truck is still running just fine. I have no issues pulling my boat or rv with the rebuild.

Quoted price on mkt place 450.00 for trans rebuild ( 700r4 ) I messaged to find out status on trans through ad messenger 3 times texted 2 times ,called 3 times no replies until 3 weeks later called me said it would be 1,150.00 , more than double the price listed in mkt place ad , they did not inform about parts or anything ,beware of this place no communication not very professional I will not ever be back to this shop !

Very slow had my truck diagnosing it for over a month now when I call they always tell me the diesel mechanic will give me a call and has yet to do so like I said it's been 6 weeks now that they have had my truck haven't even turned a wrench on it yet just looking it over to see what is wrong with my truck no phone call back and haven't even started working on it yet so very slow to show what kinda people they are I'm going to copy and paste a review he put on my business with I own a tree service and never done work for this man or let alone gave a estimate to ....this is his review on that guy's tree service ...........Have a chance to talk to this older, disrespectful human. Doesn't respect other people business on how they operate. Was very rude when we couldn't do that job. Would not recommend......... my response is .....So because I left your business a bad review witch was 100% accurate your going to put a bad review on my business I never done business for you other than taking my truck to your shop witch you had my truck for over 8 weeks diagnosing the problem I called you 4 different times checking on my truck you keep telling me you would call me back in a hour witch you never did so I picked my truck up and took it to another shop to get fixed you getting on my business page to leave a review shows just how trashy you are iv never done any tree work for you and never gave you a estimate A1 diesel mechanic shop in Alvarado Texas is the slowest mechanic shop and a trashy person to do business with I wouldn't take a vehicle back to him to save my
