Highly recommend. The staff is kind and thoughtful and take the time to explain issues to you and work with you on resolving them. They went the extra mile replacing my windshield wipers too. They are fairly priced and have a great set up for people waiting.

A & J Automotive were total professionals from the first time I walked through their doors to when I picked up my vehicle several days later. The owner was super kind and clear explaining the reasons behind the different repairs and how they would affect the overall health and durability of my car. This was my second shop trying to get my car looked at and their quotes were lower and more specific making it easier for me to understand. Their lobby is super comfortable and their shop manager has tons of experience and again was another great reference and good communicator to sharing what was going on with my car. I was able to use one of their new, clean loaner cars while my car was getting worked on which was a huge blessing! I felt updated throughout the whole process and felt like I was in super capable hands I could trust. I would 100% recommend this be a place you take your car too.

I scheduled a state inspection and oil change for my daughter’s car. The team at A&J were prompt on providing the status of the inspection. It’s nice not having to call and ask when will the car be ready. A couple minor things were found and corrected. Car was returned clean and neat. Thanks mj

I was told my oil change and tire rotation would take an hour and a half, and it ended up taking nearly 2 and a half. It was recommended I get a battery replacement, and was told after I agreed to it that they'd need to order one. After another half hour the order had seemingly not even been processed. Overall though, the waiting room was nice, the front desk people were kind and helpful, and the job got done.

Our diesel f250 wouldn't start. A&J quickly arranged towing. They were communicative and reasonably fast even over Thanksgiving holiday. They included pictures and explained things well. The truck runs well now. I'd bring my vehicles here again. Thanks!

Shop was able to squeeze me in on short notice for a Pre-Purchase Inspection of a used vehicle. They took their time to review components that might need service, and were honest about their level of confidence in confirming some maintenance the previous owner performed that was not listed on the CarFax report. I also overheard a conversation between employees about making sure a loyal customer could get some work done on a truck before closing up shop for a holiday weekend. I would easily recommend this shop for routine maintenance and service, and would keep them in consideration for an honest quote/opinion on larger repairs.

As a lady, it can be tricky to find a vehicle repair shop that you can trust. I've never had the "domino" repair effect with A&J and they keep the most amazing electronic records of your vehicle; including photos and notes. The lobby has these cute and comfy chairs with charging outlets and I love that they have a dedicated work space that I can use while waiting for my car to be serviced. PLUS there's a 36 month/36,000 mile warranty on the work they perform.

Fantastic customer service where I felt like they actually wanted to help me with fixing the problems with my vehicle and a very knowledgeable staff who while I was describing my issues over the phone already had a gameplan to verify the issue and come up with a solution. Helped us save hundreds of dollars going to these guys first!

I fixed my car here last time and I paid about$150 to diagnose it + $1200 for the repair a month later I couldn’t started the car I bring it to the shop to check the battery because I replaced here for $250 they charge me $110 just to check the battery and alternator crazy I’m not going to this blace

I was ended up her by recommendation, but would not recommend this business to anyone else based on service and especially customer service. I dropped my vehicle off ahead the appointment time at s out 9:45AM and was told that barring anything serious, I would have it by the end of the day. I had to call because I hadn’t gotten about update after about 2:30p and was told that o would have an estimate within 30 min. Almost an hour later, I received a diagnostic of the entire care pointing $3,000 of services that were needed and I could choose to accept or decline. The service I asked for which was brake pad replacement was listed at the cost of $891+. There were pictures included but little to no explanation on issue or why I needed almost $900 of work done. When I called and questioned about the work, need and additions to the service, there was no explanation, just told that I needed it, AND that they would definitely not have it back the same day. After explaining why I was upset and unhappy with the service, and wanted my car back, the woman I had been speaking with said okay not pay for the $100 diagnostic and they leave my car for pick up. The next morning I went to another business, they ran the same diagnostic, gave VERY detailed explanations of the work that was needed plus work that was dire for the health of my car which this business had not mentioned, and the total was less than $500 for parts and labor. The cost in labor was very different—A&Js was $180/hr. They were not helpful, upfront, honest or considerate in their work and the woman responsible of customer service offered no courtesy or assistance, while also being short and uninterested in their acknowledging their faults. The only thing she reinforced was paying for the $100 diagnostic that I hadn’t asked for, which was completely free and more well done my the other business I went to. I highly recommend Carmedix in Durham, and strongly advice against A&Js.

After a recent diagnostic, I found out my entire a/c system needed to be replaced. After shopping a few places, reading the reviews and speaking with Elana (??), I decided to entrust this job to A&J Automotive. Although the repair took a little longer than anticipated, it was MORE than worth the extra time! After speaking with Rodney, he explained what the culprit was causing the delay and showed me the defective part. He and his team worked tirelessly to identify it and ensure it was replaced and everything working properly as it should. I can't thank them enough for the excellent, professional and friendly service they provided!!! They also did a complimentary inspection (with photos) of issues that will need to be addressed. I highly recommend this shop and will return for any future automotive repairs, great and small!! 👍

Thank you for providing excellent service. Not only was my pre-purchase car inspection detailed, the waiting room experience was awesome. Free snacks/drinks, TV and clean bathroom. Not to mention the friendly staff! Choose A&J! You won’t be disappointed! 10 stars!
