My daughter is a student and we are 7 hours away. She recently took her car to A&D for, first, a new set of tires and, second, a check engine light issue. They were so nice to her, honest about how quickly work would be completed, fair in their pricing and the technician called to give me a detailed explanation of what the issue was after diagnosing and what my options were. On top of that, they called my warranty company and helped me get the issue paid for. Makes me want to drive my car to Tampa for service. They exceeded all expectations and we will definitely recommend them to anyone asking.

I had the opportunity to work with Dave on my Prius. Dave went above and beyond to help me. My battery had died and I was frustrated as I have replaced my battery 3 times in the last 5 years. He walked me through why it was prematurely failing, going so far as to walk me through the battery components to my car for me to visualize what he was explaining. He did not try to upsell me or take advantage of my lack of car knowledge. He then walked me through the warranty with the new battery and had me out in under 45 minutes. I was so pleased I told him I will be coming back in the newer future for other work I need done on the car. I would highly recommend his services and expertise. Thanks Dave!

I can’t say enough good things about A&D Automotive! The team was incredibly kind, professional, and went above and beyond to help us. They took care of our car issue and saved us hundreds of dollars in the process, which we didn’t expect at all. It’s clear they truly care about their customers and the community. I really can't say enough about A&D Auto. My daughter is a student in the area and drives an older car. A&D came the rescue when her car broke down and had to be towed there, and they have helped her with routine maintenance. It gives us a lot of peace of mind to know that she (and her car) are being taken care of and NOT taken advantage of.

A&D automotive called me to let me know that my car actually had a recall campaign and manufacturer issue. For this reason, they said they wouldn't charge me for the diagnostic and gave me advice for my next steps. I definitely recommend them for the customer service and honesty!

Andrew and David are my go to guys when I need an HONEST opinion. They never try to upsell me on a service and call me quickly with a diagnosis and recommendations. The dealership where I get oil changes due to proximity always gives me a list of services they “recommend”, which is totally fair. I drop off my car with Andrew and David immediately after with the print out. What I like is that they tell me what they would do if it were their car, how long before the issues actually need to be addressed, and never rush me when explaining in detail what’s going on what they would do next. I really appreciate them and will be a life long customer. 💯/💯. 👍👍. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

I probably had the most pleasurable experience possible while in a bad situation. Came to A&D and can confidently say that my experience exceeded all expectations. Andrew is the man, he cares and listens while in a stressful environment. Dave is extremely knowledgeable and competent, goes above and beyond. And the owner is a stand-up guy. All the college kids go here, which is probably the easiest demographic to take advantage of, so that speaks volume about their level integrity and reputation. I recently took my car here for repairs, we initially didn’t know what was making my car give me so many warnings on my dashboard, they ran a diagnostic test and told us we had to take it to Honda to fix the sensor, which is a Honda specific part. They did not charge us for the diagnostic test. Honda found other things wrong with the car but only fixed the sensor issue, so we came back here and they left my car in tip top shape. They even called us once they realized they had accidentally over charged us for something and refunded us, I don’t think any other mechanic would have corrected that mistake. I am very grateful that my car is running good as new now. I will definitely be returning here in the future for regular maintenance.

I’m new to the area, I called a lot of auto centers looking for help, they were the first to answer quickly and clearly, they were honest and didn’t take advantage of overcharging. Patrick was especially very helpful. I will be back.

I’ve been taking my Alfa Romeo Giulia here for a few months and I highly recommend these guys for all your vehicle repair needs. Most shops see an Alfa Romeo and quote me ridiculous prices for simple things like oil changes or minor repairs but A&D keeps it real. They’ve done all my full synthetic oil changes for $89, replaced a few belts, are about to diagnose my AC system and they managed to save me $3.5k on a new turbo last month by doing a full diagnostic and informing me that the previous shop I went to left my turbo in shambles lol. Special shoutout to David who I believe is the lead mechanic, he did a fantastic job with the diagnosis, was super informative (proved he CARED), and was the reason I ended up being covered by the previous shop for the repair. He even followed up with me to make sure it got taken care of which was above and beyond so, thank you David!! This is a quality small town shop, but in downtown Tampa, which is impossible to find anywhere else so like I said, I can’t recommend them enough!

We got off worst cruise ever, and realized our brakes were bad. Drove over and they got us right in. We went to publix and chilled up stairs until car was ready. Thank you for fixing our brakes so we got home safely.

I have been using A&D Automotive for the past 4 years while my daughter has been attending UT. Over past 4 years working with them has been a pleasure. They are fast to fix the problem and pricing is always been great. It’s nice to find and honest company especially when your 1300 miles away. I highly recommend them to work on any of your vehicles!!!!

I took my car to this shop with my ignition working fine. Then when I came to pick car up from repair. My ignition was pushed through console to where I could not even crank my car. I found out after they were leaving cars they were repairing unlocked at night. Later on when I asked them to let me see the video of there place. To see if someone tried to steal car and broke the ignition. They claimed they did not have access to there own cameras. The incident happened there because my car was not like that before I took it there. They claimed my car was like that when I brought it there. Instead of fixing it the correct way they patched it back together. I was able to turn on and off car but ignition would not stay in place. I came back a few months later and complained they still did not put it back correctly. Instead they used JB well to put it back together. I winded up having to pay over 1000 dollars to fix an issue with someone else that they were responsible for. They did no make it right and will not make it right even after I filed a complaint against them. Then to top all this off they charged me over 2000 dollars to do the other repairs I initially brought car in for. Most of the charges was for a power steering rack and pinion repair about 1300 worth. They had to do an alignment because of that repair which was not done correctly. Then when I asked them redo the alignment to correct it they refused. Also they busted one of my tires pulling car of rack. My car has rode much worse every since all this happened, again they would not fix there error. Overall, my experience with them is one of the worst if not the worst I have ever had.

Frequently how a company responds to a complaint or request shows the true level of service and quality. I had an ok visit the first go around. I ended up having to bring my car in for a possibly related issue. My car was fixed the same business day at noon additional cost and the owner personally called me to ensure I had a positive experience - that means a lot to me 😁 ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW Dropped my car off for a transmission replacement. They were able to get a used transmission ordered & as far as I can tell the job was done well. However, there was consistent over promise and under deliver on the timeline for delivery (5 extra days). And when I got my car back, all 4 tires were low, a dirty rag was left in my car, the vehicle was left a little bit dirty from the techs, and the gas was so low my signal was on (a had over a tank upon drop off). Lack of attention to detail was disappointing after spending nearly $4,000 on parts and labor. Would look elsewhere for service in the future
