If I could give you a zero rating I would. After my car left your shop (after about 2 1/2 months of you doing nothing and waiting on me to diagnosis my vehicle) and sent it to an actual hybrid mechanic, the difference was night day. In the first 10 minutes of getting there, Ayman discovered my ignition switch module was bad. That's the reason you only saw the air bag light on the dashboard. After replacing that, he could then hook a scanner to my car and found that my HV battery was at 214V. Now I was closer to getting my vehicle back and running. In the 2 weeks of him having the car, he found that you or your men that installed my transmission didn't reprogram the car's computer to the new transmission. Kinda an important thing, wouldn't you say? On top of all this, the main seal was either bad or damaged by your shop when reinstalling the transfer case so I had a transmission leak. How dumb do you have to be to install a transmission without looking at the main seal and making sure it's good? Because of your shotty work, you cost me an additional $600 just to fix what you should have checked. There are mechanics like you that only know how to remove and replace parts and there are great mechanics like Ayman who take pride in their work and know what the hell they're doing. My advice: don't agree to work on someone's car if you don't know anything about that vehicle. You took $2000 from me and you didn't even finish the job. And no Jose... my HV battery didn't need to be replaced. It works just fine, thank you. If you have a hybrid vehicle, don't go here. Take it to Ayman at Best Deal Hybrid. He won't take advantage of you.

Quickest service possible and no appointment. Brought my car in for new rotors and pads in the morning and was ready well before noon. VERY reasonable prices, and I made it back to work without getting into a fiery inferno, so the quality is there.

As Proverbs 3:27-28 calls on men to not withhold good to those whom it is due, when it is in your hands to do so immediately, I must follow through with this positive review. These men, this autoshop, is trustworthy. They were kind, straightforward and experts in their craft. The issue was diagnosed as an electrical issue. My vehicle was a Smart Fortwo Passion 2017. It took 1 week to solve the problem. A single wire was causing all the issues and all I had to pay for was 10 hours of their time (no parts needed), which they graciously reduced to 6 hours. The 6 hours of labor, rounded out, was around $800. Thank you 5 star auto, for all your help. My little car is my only possession I care very much for and you showed great care towards it.

I have bad experience with this business.Pay attention with the reviews 1 stars before you decide to go.I will no time tell the story but he will remember me now .You might lucky or not lucky like me.unprofessional and he don’t care about customer a lot of egos .The owner should pay attention with the big guy who work in front desk.He may lost business if he still here.Honestly,people come to this shop because cheaper and I got recommended from family members .That’s why I came here ,seem bad experience my car messed up and I have to go back to my old shop to fixing my car from his mess up,Also,they are many shop cheaper and more professional and really care they customers situation more then this shop.The owner should take seriously look at the big guy .How he treated customers same or different? Or he never care .I disappointed to myself that I should not come here. I should go the place that I always go on Blackstone .Bad decision of myself.God bring anything back to you how you treated me ! You will see in different way or same way as me! I understand that any business you can’t please everyone ,BUT BUT unless you more careful and more professional and keep your word,no lies or excuses to your customers, if you run business like this! And you really don’t care because you have a lot customers will come back to you .Remember ,How you treated your customers.If that person is from your family how do you feel? I recently felt it was time to find a new mechanic and so I contacted 5 Star Auto and I've been very pleased ever since. Their customer service is excellent and they make repairs in a timely manner. Their prices are also very good. A noticeable savings over my last mechanic (which was the dealership). I would recommend 5 Star Auto for anyone looking for a reliable, competent repair facility that charges very reasonable rates.

Would give it a 4.5 star rating if I could as for the most part it was very straightforward and the process was easy. Took my car in, let them know the problem, and they fixed it. Haven't had any issues since so I would assume that they got the right thing. My only concern is there isn't a price breakdown unlike most auto body shops I've been to so you can see what they charged you for and how much individually it was but other than that it was a fair experience. (There is no waiting room however so personally I don't care but to those who are concerned about that just be aware)

Told me they could to get my truck within 2 hours to diagnose. I called multiple times, and they finally told me that they got to it at 4 in the afternoon. They needed to keep it overnight. Did not diagnose my transmission. Charged 270 to tell me to change transmission fluid and filter, and if that didn't fix that, I needed a new transmission. Took it to another shop, and they told 50 dollar sensor was the issue. My truck runs perfectly now with 50 dollar fix. The office manager was laughing at another customer because he didn't know how much something would cost. They are very unprofessional and clueless. They do not know what they are doing. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Update to response. My truck code came on 1 minute after I left. I came back to the shop and your technician said I needed a new transmission. I declined that service because I believed you were wrong, and it turned out I was correct.

I'm new to Fresno and my car broke down on Christmas Eve. The owner, Jose worked with me to have my car towed to his shop without me being present so I didn't have to miss work. He gave me an honest, fair price to replace my gasket cover, coils and sparkplug. However, any good mechanic knows a leak in the gasket cover means loss of oil. The car runs great, but the oil was never replaced. If Jose wanted a repeat customer I think he would have checked the levels and advised his new customer of any needs to run the car properly and charhed me to top it off. In fact my last mechanic in my home town always did the basic of checking the fluid levels to make sure I was safe on the road. Even though I am a single woman, I know a few things about cars and will replace it myself. I also know I haven't found my mechanic. So, I recommend 5 star auto repair in a pinch if you're broke down, but not as a loyal mechanic to build a relationship with long term. I will keep looking.

Took much longer than promised. Promised to look at it immediately if brought in. Got to it a day later. Car overheated after being worked on. Turns out mechanic did not burp the car. Could have destroyed my motor. High risk. ******* Update: Owner response is 100% fake.... scam people continue to scam even readers... FOREVER. I will NEVER let those people come near my car ever again. Looks like owner scammer is looking to receive a lawyer's response.

These guys should get 10 stars. If you have a Dodge Challenger 5 Star Auto Repair is the shop to go to. They can fix anything! Don't take it to the car dealers they will rip you off.

These guys did a great job working on my convertible Camaro, had a tricky radiator hose leak, they found it, ordered the parts, repaired it, and now, no more leaks, I highly recommend these guys.

Found this guy online, since he had good reviews I brought my 2019 Tacoma with a cracked gasket to him. He told me it would take a week but I knew it would probably take longer. He didn’t communicate with me at all and took way too long to “finish” it (5 weeks). I ended up paying him for the work he had already done and took it to a different place. He wouldn’t give me an estimated date that he’d have it done by, and when I told him I needed my truck back soon since I was borrowing another person’s car, he laughed at me and told me to get a rental car. He had my truck for 5 weeks and the last week he didn’t touch it at all and his “test drive” put 64 miles on my truck… also adding and replacing stuff without my consent. I would not refer him or ever take my vehicle back to him.

Got a "diagnostic" done at this shop. They kept my car overnight drove it 10miles and sent me a 5 to 10 sec video of a sound my engine makes starting up. Didn't run it through any diagnostic machine as far as I know since they didn't show me any paperwork on it, only recommended I replace the engine, was supposed to price one and never did, now I gotta go to another shop amd see if he was even telling the truth or just upcharging me to make more money. I don't recommend this shop.

Great customer service. I had trouble as soon as I finished my baby's appointment at Valley Children's Hospital. He had lost all his patience, so it was great that they helped me out rapidly and I was able to go back home to my other children without paying an arm an a leg.

Called last minute on a Saturday morning to get a battery replaced in our 2017 Ford Escape- which entails a much lengthier process than just dropping it in and hooking it up. Brought the car in and it was doe and ready in 1.5 hrs!! This place is awesome and reasonably priced with cost quoted up front and text communication every step of the way.

They charged me $130 for a diagnosis which was 100% inaccurate. They told me I blew up my head gaskets and was going to cost me $2,500 so I took it somewhere else changed the radiator for $250 and I have been driving my car for 2 weeks no problem whatsoever. I don’t even think they even touched the engine when they diagnose my car. I was extremely upset, it was my third time there and last one.
