Absolutely fantastic service and communication! I was stuck in town after dropping my vehicle off and they offered me a ride back home, which was way above and beyond! They worked with me and communicated everything very clearly and gave me the time I needed to figure out what I needed to get done vs what I could afford at the time. All in all this was the best experience I've had with a shop and I'll definitely be going back when I need more work done. 10/10 would recommend

I was charged over $200 for them to use a code reader and quoted at $4500 to completely replace the catalytic converter because it was "aftermarket". Took it down to the cities for another opinion on it and paid less than $100 for them to clean the catalytic converter and was told it was definitely not aftermarket and was in great condition. Don't trust these people.

My daughter stopped in this morning with an “emergency”. She is attending college in the area and while on her way to her student teacher gig she noticed a noise coming from under her car. She stopped by your shop and explained what was happening and asked if it could be looked at. Without hesitation they asked for her keys and fixed the plastic cover that was dragging under her car. This was all done within a few minutes and she was able to make it her “job” (student teachers don’t get paid). Thank you to whomever helped my kiddo with super fast repair at no charge whatsoever! As her dad I felt rather helpless in this situation as I’m hours away, thank you so much for this!

Amazing service! The staff at 4th Street Auto Repair are incredibly friendly, and they even offer complimentary pop, snacks, and coffee while you wait. I went in because the bolts on my license plate had rusted, and no one at home could remove them. They took care of it super fast! I just called ahead, headed over, and they fixed it on the spot—without even charging me. Their kindness and efficiency really stood out. Highly recommend!

I'm not very smart when it comes to cars, but I have been hearing this weird noise coming from my tires. Luckily Lauren at the front desk was very informative and explained to me what the issue was. 4th Street replaced my brakes and I was in and out in no time. Lauren made my day thank you all for all your hard work. Definitely coming back here next time my car is making any weird sounds.

I've never had a more comfortable experience getting my car repaired. They were so reassuring and validating and helped ease my panic when I needed my engine replaced. I got my car back and it drives and sounds better than when I first got it 4 years ago. So thankful ❤️❤️

Lauren was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable and answered all questions I had. I would recommend going to her, kindest person ever. Came in with a 2017 Nissan on a whim to swap out my battery because it was -20 degrees.

What a great service! My son serves in the Coast guard. His car was towed to this auto shop, they fixed the issue! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a trustworthy feel. Thanks again to Lauren for handling all the logistics.

I dont usually write reviews but this needs to be known. This shop used to be reputable but after having switched owners recently they have gotten deceitful and wildly untrustworthy. I've had my vehicle there twice in the last month and a half, they've charged me over 3500$ to not actually fix the problem. Upon actually looking at the invoices they gave me I'm noticing inaccuracies including saying they found that they need to replace a part without any explanation as to what they actually found to come to that conclusion and then they charged me for labor of a different but similar part which is more expensive. From past work experience in shops, I know that nationally they are held to certain regulations determining how much they can charge for each part and for labor and this shop is finding every way to not get legally caught while getting around those guidelines and charge their customers way more while not actually fixing the problems. I'm now dealing with misfires and other issues that have never been present before since bringing it there last. Please protect yourself and do not go to this shop. They're great at appearing kind and respectful and then turning around and doing everything dirty.

Got an engine block heater installed here on a older, high-mileage vehicle plus an inspection and some work on the serpentine belt. Service was quick, friendly, and outstanding. They answered all my questions with open and honest feedback, and were extremely thorough in their vehicle inspection. I really appreciated their work and plan on coming back.

***** FIVE STARS ***** Was passing through Duluth on a roadtrip with my pup. After spending a frigid night in a restaurant parking lot with a dead battery, I bought a new battery from Brent at the nearby O’Reilly’s. Since it’s a specialty vehicle he referred me over to Lauren here at 4th Street Auto Repair for install. They took care of me in less than 15 minutes and the three employees I interacted with were so kind, even my dog hugged them! Thank you to the team for getting us back on the road so quickly and efficiently! P.S. Being an out of towner, I might not come back but YOU SHOULD!

Best shop ever. Josh and Lauren are so kind and patient. The mechanics are fast and thorough. (Basically) completely rebuilt my engine in a few days time. I will forever be taking my cars here and recommending them to everyone. All good things about this shop. Thank you 4th Street Auto!

I have brought my car to these folks many times over the years, and always receive excellent service. They are easy to book an appointment with, give timely updates, and get work done quickly. I’ve never felt pressured into unnecessary repairs, and I appreciate their safety inspections and warranties. Pricing has always felt fair as well

Intoxalock tried to screw me around, but they made it right. I encourage you if you have to deal with them people ( INTOXALOCK ) I encourage you to go see them from installation, calibration, and most of all and most important removal!! 👍👍

You guys made it happen! We came to Duluth for a family wedding when our starter died. Dealers in the area said 3 to 4 weeks to get it in. Called 4th street Monday morning. We had to be back in Michigan to pick up elderly parents at the airport in Detroit Wednesday afternoon. They squeeze us in and we were back on the road before noon Tuesday. Thanks for the great service.
